  1. Tevans, the resurrection of Jesus, the resurrection of the old testament saints that rose with Christ and all the other resurrections that have happened can't be included in the first resurrection spoken about in Rev. because they were history when the book of Revelation was written. Why would John write prophecy about an event that had already happened. That wouldn't be called prophecy, that is called history. The pre-trib doctrine wants people to believe it is ok to add a resurrection to happen prior to the tribulation, so they can have their pre-trib rapture. The problem with that is the Bible says only 2 resurrections remain, the Bible says the first resurrection happens at the second coming, not sometime before the tribulation. So no pre - trib rapture. The second resurrection happens after the 1000 year reign, those are the only choices for a rapture, at the second or after the 1000 year reign.
  2. I have a question for tevans9129....Which resurrection is the pre-trib rapture joined to ? The Bible plainly speaks of 2 coming resurrections of a massive amount of people, the first happening at the second coming ,(Rev:20) and the other happening after the 1000 year reign.(Again Rev:20) Would you please provide scripture with your answer.
  3. Other One I agree 100% with your view on the sons of God, what is it about this subject that blinds people so much. If they would read and except the teachings in the book of Enoch their eyes would be open. I believe the writers of the Bible knew the book of Enoch was out there, and used it as a teaching aid.
  4. A lot of elders have died over the past 2000 years...... to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. The Bible doesn't say the elders have been raptured to heaven, it was Marv that said that !!!!!!! with Jesse backing him up. That's the problem with the pre-trib doctrine, it's all just the opinions of men, not the word of God.
  5. The pre-trib view is that the Holy Spirit is what is restraining the son of perdition, so the Holy Spirit has to be removed along with the church at the pre-trib rapture. The problem with that theory is all the Bibles will have to go also, because it teaches anyone that excepts Jesus as their savior, the Holy Spirit will never leave them, and the Bible says a number that no man can number will come out of the tribulation. If the Holy Spirit is removed from this earth at a pre-trib rapture, then how can this great number of people coming from the tribulation claim the promise in the Bible about the Holy spirit never leaving them.
  6. How are the messianic jews going to be drawn to the Lord Jesus, if the Holy Spirit is removed from earth at the so called pre-trib rapture.
  7. if a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his rear when he jumps, he could glide to a landing.
  8. I need to trade mine in, I have abused this one past repair
  9. Wow!!! calm down Salty, this is a Christian forum.
  10. FACT - 2 resurrections of a group of people are spoken about in Revelation, the first resurrection happens at the second coming of Christ, at the start of the 1000 year reign, the other resurrection happen after the 1000 year reign at the great white throne judgement . FACT - Any resurrection added prior to these, for a pre-trib rapture to accompany is adding to the Book.
  11. 3 pages and not one shred of evidence yet, only opinion and speculation so far. The fact remains the dead in Christ raise at the first resurrection (as described in Rev 20) not at some resurrection prior to the tribulation, which by the way isn't even hinted at in the Bible. But to have a pre-trib rapture the pre-trib crowd has invented a pre-first resurrection.
  12. Pray until you get assurance, it might be all night prayer, or it might be an all week prayer, but this is something you have to take care of yourself. It is personal between you and God. I'm praying for you, I know where your at with your walk, it can be miserable at times.
  13. Spock my interpretation of the 24 elders is, they have already been picked. I think they are the 11 disciples + Paul + 12 old testament saints. The 24 elders aren't going to be picked out of the pre-trib believers modern church.
  14. Where in the Bible does it say the 24 elders are synonymous with the church ?
  15. So the pre-trib doctrine doesn't apply to the Christians under persecution now ??? Post -trib doctrine teaches, we will go through tribulations before the second coming. That is where the faith to endure comes into play, we don't expect to be raptured, right when the world needs our testimony.
  16. Wonder what the 500'000 Christians who use to live in Mosul Iraq think about the pre-trib doctrine?
  17. Marv the Bible doesn't say who the 24 elders are, so to put a name on them would be no more than a guess. They are called elders though, so instead of saying the elders are the church, I think they are possibly the 11 disciples and Paul, with the other 12 being old testament saints.
  18. There is evidence of the post-trib view, all the scripture about the second coming is the evidence of the post-trib view. This thread is from Omegaman, so I'll be sitting here waiting on the evidence of the pre-trib view.
  19. I have more than hope, I have faith the Lord will deliver me into or out of whatever he wishes. I'm not putting my hope in a pre-trib rapture.
  20. Omegaman knows there is no evidence in the Bible for a pre-trib rapture. All they have is hope.
  21. Revelation 6 vs 9, The group under the alter are waiting for this group to join them. Then the second coming, there is no pre-trib rapture to get the church to heaven.
  22. Lamad the great multitude John saw in heaven is being added to daily, every time a Christian dies, part of him goes to be with the Lord. This great multitude wasn't raptured to heaven as a group, they go there upon their death.
