  1. like any drug those who use it daily do not get many of the effects that a first timer will have, as a long time coffee drinker, I can drink a whole pot of coffee and go to sleep, its just hot drink that one aquires a taste for
  2. I agree with you, Jesus plainly tells the believers that it was the Holy Spirit He would be sending that would lead the church, to me this is the most overlooked biblical truth, since so much of who the Holy Spirit is and what He does is not accepted in many churches which leaves them led by men and not by the Spirit
  3. I would contend that either you don't believe a heartbeat constitutes life, or if an old person nolonger can speak and make eye contact they neither are really a person anymore and might as well be put to death, the only difference is one had a longer history, and people had a chance to love them longer, its easier to kill people when you don't actually have to face them. maybe if doctors removed the fetus and let the mother kill it herself reality would finally hit home, babies are alive!
  4. next time they offer (nearly forced goods) lay down some boundries, and explain as a Christian you do not want to be indebted to anyone as this is what the bible teaches, if they want to give you the airconditioner fine, but its never been a good idea borrowing anything, unless you have a prophet living nearby that can supernaturally fix what you break or lose
  5. didn't Jesus refer to John the Baptist as the spirit of Elijah having already come but the people failed to reconize him
  6. personally I think the baptism of the spirit takes place before one is publicly baptized, its a command to be baptized as a believer, having doubts of the reality of Jesus being the Son of God and dying for your sins would be a big indicator that you are not really born again, for someone who is born again has absolutely no doubt Jesus is the Savior of the world
  7. If Mary was perfect and without sin there was no need for Jesus, Mary could of died for our sins, but the bible clearly states Jesus was the only perfect person on the earth and the only mediator between God and man anything other than this one truth is a deception from the enemy, to provoke someone to seek someone other than God Himself who Jesus makes perfectly clear can hear your prayers, you don't need Mary, go straight to the top and talk to God directly
  8. there should be higher penalties of any crime directed at children in any way shape or form, even Jesus makes this clear when He says "whoever causes one of these little ones to sin it would be better to have a mill stone tied around his neck and be thrown into the sea"
  9. I'm only glad that God has led people such as the apostle Paul to walk into the enemies camp, as seen in many instances in the book of Acts, and minister the truth, even blinding sorcerers if need be, using even the altars of unknown god's to present the gospel to those who kneel before false gods, certainly you must be called of God to be in this kind of ministry, but all Christians should know that Jesus has given us victory over all works of darkness and we should not be afraid
  10. I'm not sure what bible you have been reading but mine shows multiple instances of disunity among even the apostles, Paul verses Peter in the case of circumcision, Paul verses Barnabus in the case of Mark, even while Jesus was still with the twelve they were fighting on who would sit at His right and left hand, not to mention Jesus Himself saying His gospel would split families, Fathers against sons Mothers against daughters.......and then there is the end time prophesies that prophesy that believers would hate one another and there love would wax cold not exactly sure where you read Christianity was a unifying faith, It can be for small groups as the church was intended to be, not huge monolithic buildings dressed like prostitutes that take huge amounts of money just to keep them working the streets like any prostitute would
  11. I wouldn't be surprised if this technology isn't already built in many of the underground bases in the world, seeing the incredible tunneling equipment we have that builds a tunnel as it passes through its highly likely most of these secret underground military bases have some mode of transportation that is similar to what is suggested or even better
  12. i think the government steals so much from hard working people I get offended from people who think the deserve more, why not just stop smoking and worry about how your grandkids will never be able to own their own business because the government made it nearly impossible to make a profit, for all the crazy laws and taxes
  13. I was surprised at the number of people that wouldn't enter a hindu shrine or temple if given the chance, real Christians have real power over darkness and demons, I suppose if you don't understand this fact or have witnessed this power it may be good for you to stay out of such places as it may be dangerous. but for those who know that greater is He that is in me, then those in the world, its a great opportunity to enter a strongmans house and release some fervent prayers of binding and blinding, if there are demons inside the last thing they want to see is a blood bought child of the most high God coming inside breaking the place up with the sword of the Spirit
  14. due to the great perversion of minds on this planet, what is a natural thing should be covered so as not to feed devilish thinking
  15. lawlessness is the new christianity of today, It is very appealing to those who hear it
  16. So....what you are saying is if a pastor has say a son who choose to reject all the teaches he has learn about Christ. Then his father who is the pastor should be removed from the church because his son made his own choice to go his own way by his own free will? Dang I guess being a pastor is hard when you are responsible for the choices that others make. Be them good or bad. the bible teaches that if a man can't keep his own family in the flock, he is disqualified for leading a larger body of believers, in todays Christianity the bible is hardly used as a guidline for such criteria, maybe thats why the church is in such a state apostasy
  17. in todays world I wouldn't think it a wise decision for a church to have a single male pastor
  18. I'm sorry, but I do not understand why I should be upset or feel my Christian faith is under assault because a group of people want to make their own version of the Bible. Many people throughout history have twisted the words of the Bible to justify how they live or what they do. I do not nor have I ever felt that my faith or what I believe threaten by this. In other words, I may not like what they are saying, may disagree with what they are saying, but in no way do I feel they are going to be threat to my own personal faith. I'm sure the early reformers would beg to disagree, seeing how twisted the word of God can get, it only gets ironically clear when those who have twisted the word of God are in the position of authority and decide that you need to be split in two or burned at a stake
  19. yes I seen this, very funny to see people sign a petition for blatant murder, I can see why so many college students remain unemployed
  20. you should of said "two types of Gays claiming to be Christians", as for those who make no claims of following Christ or believing in Jesus, we are not called to make any judgements regarding those outside the church
  21. I suppose being filled with the Spirit does not equate that someone is perfect and without sin, although in regards to a pastor this position is at a higher level of judgement, and even his children are required to serve the Lord, so if he or his wife and children, fail to live a good and Godly life he should be removed from his position, as he has failed to meet the biblical criteria for the job as pastor
  22. Very good. In Daniel 9:24-27, Daniel provides us with a calendar for the coming of Jesus some 500 years later. I find it to be one of the most astounding prophesies in the Bible. I also have found it be a nice witnessing tool. After all, there is no debate the Daniel was written some 500 years before Jesus came on the scene and there is no dispute that Daniel provided us with a calendar for his coming. The main problem most have is understanding the terminology in the text. Daniel does not describe the passage of time using our own verbiage and calendars. However, the Rabbinical Jews calculated to the time of Jesus as written in their Talmud. Most probably don't know this, but the common man was forbidden to calculate the verse in question on the premise that they might be "misled" because they rejected Jesus as Messiah. Instead, the Rabbis say that the Messiah tarries because of the sinfulness of Israel. In other words, the Messiah did not come when he was suppose to as pointed at in Daniel during the time of Jesus because of the sinfulness of Israel. The problem with that is, I don't recall God ever changing his mind. 1 kings 21:28 2 kings 20:1-6 amos 7:3 jonah 3:10 jonah 4:2 joel 2:13 isaiah 38:5 jeremiah 18:7-10......this is the best exodus 32:14 1 samuel 2:30 God changed his promise, he had promised the preisthood to aron and his decendents, and here he removed the promise from eli and his decendents apparently God has changed his mind a few times, but I am under the impression its more like a parent who knows ahead of time the choices their children make, or much like we tell them the consequences of their actions will bring such an such if they don't change behavior, and they change behavior so the consequences also change, God is never surprised
