  1. We hear God in different ways. As you continue developing your relationship with him you will come to understand how he talks to you. Sometimes, it is through feelings, sometimes it is through other people, sometimes he will just open your eyes to see things. When you first know someone you don't understand all their body language and how they express themselves. It takes time for both of you to bond. As you grow in the Lord your spirit develop, one with the Lord already because you are born again, will become more sensitive to the things of the Spirit and how he relates to you. Some Christians are able to hear the Spirit speak to the spirit and they recognize his voice.
  2. Salvation is being saved from the wrath of God that would come upon the children of disobedience. But it is more than that, salvation leads to reconciliation with God. From what I read in Roman 5:9 I cannot see how we are saved, reconciled with God through Jesus Christ, and still end up spending eternity in hell. "Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation."
  3. Hi Shilohsfoal, I know you would agree with me that you are very convinced that what you are saying is the truth and that is why you are sharing it. I also believe that everyone who is sharing what they believe are convinced likewise. I see the discussion as exchange of views, scriptural understanding, scriptural knowledge, and scriptural interpretation. Everyone is going to be convinced they know what they are saying until someone patiently explains what the correct interpretation is, even then it takes the Holy Spirit to change people's beliefs. So, please do not be frustrated. Some people learn when they can exhaust their own beliefs through expressing what they understand the Scriptures to be and seeing where they have gone wrong. Very few Churches allow people to ask questions, query what preachers are saying, or encourage a healthy debate of scriptural interpretations. Some people learn in different ways and many are tossed to and fro by every interpretation they receive.
  4. The end times is not going to happen within a day. There is no way we are going to be able to pinpoint the start of the end times. People will keep explaining the tribulation away until the very end is upon us. It is a gradual process and the seals are not complete. There are already souls slaughtered for their testimony and many more countries are persecuting Christians. By the way, even families are killing their members who become Christians to protect the family honour. Does this not look like the fifth seal has started? People are being killed by war, famine, beasts, and pestilence. Does that not look like the fourth seal? Despite all our medical research and charity, famine is getting worse even among the developed countries of the world. I am not sure how cheap food is where you live but from what I can see food is becoming more expensive every day, and increasingly out of the reach of many. Does this not look like third seal has started? As for the second seal, there is no longer peace on earth. All I can see is fear from country to country. I have not heard of a country that is not affected by fear of terror and all the inhabitants are at peace. Things are only going to get worse at each stage. The Scientists, philosophers, and the wise of the world will also try to explain the situation away so that we can continue to eat, drink, be merry until it is the very end.
  5. You have just stated the End. The End times will be a period in time. It would be a gradual process but then as in the days of Noah, everything would be explained away and people will be getting on with their lives. As for the sword, it was given to him to take peace from the earth and men would slay one another. Is that not already happening? People are at war, there are rumours of war, and people being slayed to death unnecessarily. We are not going to see this rider physically on a red horse taking peace from the earth. The rider is going to operate in the spirit realm and all we would see is the manifestation of it on earth.
  6. The promised land was taken by the Israelites as per God's promise as Joshua 1:5 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Joshua+1:1-5 They did not drive out all the inhabitants as they should have done according to God's command but this promise has already been fulfilled. This is currently causing problems for the Nation of Israel, including losing some of the land they inherited. The beast you refer to is not a physical human being but the devil with his princes and demons who operate over countries and human lives. They can rule over governments without being physically present. The persecution of the saints has already started with many being hacked to death in some countries. There would come a time when the Church (body of Christ) come to a perfect man and to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ as in Ephesians 4:11-14 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians 4:11-14. We have not yet seen the full power of God manifest yet but we would when the Church operates as one Man and in unity. Jesus Christ is going to reign until his enemies are under his feet. The Church is the body of Christ. Then the saints are victorious and more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. All this does not mean the Christians are going to inherit this corruptible earth. There will be a new heaven and a new earth where those whose names are in the book of life will life forever with God "Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all." 1 Corinthians 15:24-28 NJKV. I believe that there would be a time when the Church reach the unity of faith and become a perfect Man that we would see a lot more of the power of God manifest in his children, for the fullness of Christ will dwell within his Body. I do not believe that Jesus is coming for a Church that is hiding away from her enemies in caves, holes, and underground, especially if he is presenting to the Father a glorious Church.
  7. My dear sister, where have you been? I hope you are not expecting a physical living creature to run through the continents conquering nations as in Revelations 6: 1-2 or another creature handing out swords to people to kill themselves as in verse 3? All you have to do is look around you. The signs of the end are already happening as in Matthew 24:1-31. People are already running after fake Christs. As for the tribulations in the end times, Christians in many countries are having their own tribulations in form of persecutions, which takes the grace of God for them to hold on to Christ.
  8. The Lord taught me a great lesson some years back. I waited for a bus to take me to college for over an hour. Other people joined me. There were several people at this bus stop hoping for at least one bus to turn up. When no bus turned up I decided to go to the shops to renew my bus pass. On my way back the bus turned up. People started getting on. I ran to the bus stop. I got there just when the driver was about to close the doors. Despite seeing me the driver decided to close the doors on me, telling me that I cannot get on. I was the only one left at the bus stop when the bus drove off. I felt I was going to be late for my lecture that morning. I regretted going to the shops. Some years later, the Lord referred me back to that incident and tied it in with Matthew 25:1-13 where the virgins waited for the bridegroom to come but he delayed. It was after some of them went to the shops to buy oil that the groom arrived and were not allowed in. Verse 13 states "“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming." We have to be watchful and make sure we work out our salvation with fear and trembling. There is no longer the time to compromise and think that tomorrow is there to repent. It may just be too late.
  9. There is nothing in the two scriptures quoted above that suggested the Lord Jesus is physically coming with the saints to receive the promised land from Euphrates to the Nile. Is there another scripture that I can check out? It is difficult for me to understand why Jesus would come with his saints to receive the promised land. Is he and the saints fighting someone for the promised land or who is handing it over? Scriptures please?
  10. I believe Angelica has not returned to Worthy since she posted.
  11. It is the book of Psalms (chapter 2).
  12. I believe that surprise comes after it has happened. It is about what we did not expect to happen and then it happened. We can anticipate surprise such as the world plunged into darkness, but when it does happen some people who never expected it would be surprised.
  13. It is amazing, isn't it? After all those chimneys, fireplaces and coal burners, London eventually saw the light!
  14. There was a time I lived with a relative but there was no heating in the room I stayed in. So I needed to buy one of those small heaters but I had no money. One Sunday morning I went to Church. After the offering was taken an usher came up to me and handed me an envelope with my name on it. In it was the exact amount I needed to buy the heater. I still do not know who God used to make that provision.
