Its a spiritual robe for our resurrected spiritual body. We arent going to have a natural body anymore its going to be a spiritual body. Put together with: 2 Corinthians 5:1 "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life." The tabernacle in which we do groan is the earthly house, the physical body, the natural man, the mortal flesh, in which mortality will be swallowed up of life and the natural body will become a spiritual body like a seed raised up. Spiritual robe for a spiritual body. the white robe stands for Christ righteousness, we see the white robes given to the martyrs even before they're resurrected

I'm not sure what Philips being translated to a different area has to do with how fast a prophecy is fulfilled, If the prophecy is for the euphrates river to be dried up, and over time its dried up, who's to say its not a fulfiment of prophecy, as if to say it will only be a true fulfilment of God's prophecy if its a raging river one day and the next day its bone dry just as I mentioned God told the Israelites He would bring them into the land He promised, well if He didn't translate the whole nation into the land of Canaan and at the same time remove the canaanites, Is God in error of not fulfiiling His own prophecy, since He didn't do it in one fell swoop as He allowed them to slowly overcome the nations in the land, fighting all the way, and finally aquiring the land He promised, that is how God fulfilled His promise slow or fast is not a variable in whether God is behind it Think of it this way. God is doing all the work when scripture speaks of the Euphrates river being dried up. Man has nothing to do with it and is not involved, so there are no restrictions from humans. Using the examples we had started with, man had to walk to through the desert, learning as they went. Phillip did not. He was fully in His will without man being involved. I would have to disagree, we see all through the bible God using other people groups to fulfil His prophetic word, certianly God was behind it all, but to simply say the river must be "supernaturally dried up" is not found in the text

can you tell me why in Mathew 24 when Jesus is giving His sequence of events to His disciples that He doesn't tell them about the secret rapture, and only gives them the final gathering up of tribulation saints

Good observation, I agree completely! We might say that they were lazy servants that did not do what their Lord commanded. Though parables should not be taken in a literal sense, the Lord has given us many ways to view what's going on here. And these are no ordinary parables. They are very unique, in that He gave us a series of parables to understand the answer to His disciple's question in Matt. 24:3, about the signs of both, His coming and the end of the age, but He also kept the mystery intact. Again, this is a parable. Try to remember the Lord is coming quickly and bringing His rewards with Him. He is rewarding their works, not their salvation that He purchased with His own blood. Getting saved doesn't make someone ready for the rapture. So when He says He doesn't know them, He does not recognize their works, because they were not doers of what He said to do. If we got rewarded for being saved, then everyone would be ready and there would only be one reward. But according to Paul, there are three (3) rewards for believers and he compared them as; [1] precious stones; [2] gold and silver; and [3] wood, hay and stubble (I changed the order - best to worst). All will be saved, but not everyone will get the same reward. Yes, they got left with the unbelievers, but it's only temporarily. They will be killed when they refuse the mark of the beast. They represent the gold and silver (lukewarm), which needs to be purified through the fire to burn off the dross. When you cut a precious stone it displays a brilliant shine immediately. Only the precious stones will be ready when the Lord cuts Him (body of Christ) asunder. I don't think its legalism to declare that someone will not inherit salvation if they live in the short list of sins Paul mentions, these are sin's that lead to death, they break the simple and qualifying two Laws that Jesus left us with, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]” loving God and keeping His commands is what keeps us abiding in His love, being rebellious and commiting sins that lead to death, is neither fulfiling the two simple laws Jesus left us with

A good way to state it The First resurrection is not simply a chronological event but a Category as well The First resurrection is for all people who will receive a glorified immortal incorruptible body and live eternally with Christ regardless of when they lived The Second resurrection is for all the unrepentant unrighteous people who rejected Christ regardless of when they lived Those who gave their heart to Christ and serve Him during the 1000 year Mil whether they died during the Mil or lived till the end of it will still receive a glorified incorruptible body to live eternally with Christ, ...since there is no category of a third resurrection , they are considered part of the category of the First resurrection as the First resurrection is being part of Christs eternal family what?............thats not what my bible teaches, the second resurrection says that they will be judged by their works, since there was no law for humanity outside of the small Hebrew clan, all the rest of humanity from the days of Adam up until Christ, will be judged by their works................clearly some will find their names in the book of life, otherwise it would not be mentioned and it would simply declare they were all tossed into hell

It will not take years to dry up a river once the bowl or vile is poured, it will be fast, real fast. the sun going dark and the moon turning red will be more than what has ever occured with the natural phenomenons of solar eclipse and red moons, as the powers of heaven will be shaken, and the stars will fall more than any common meteor shower these signs listed in Mathew will be so much greater than the world has ever witnessed

actually the method of His return is also documented in the bible and it is preempted by the sign of the Son of Man appearing in heaven, which is followed by a loud trumpet call...........then the Lord Jesus tells us He will gather His elect

I guess I am seeing an unbalanced gospel being preached today, one that requires little or no change in a believers life, and a simple nod of the head and one is on his or her way to heaven and from the words of Jesus Himself He teaches almost the complete opposite, denying oneself, losing your life to find it, selling all you have to buy the pearl of great worth, even the baptism is symbolic of you ending your life, and Jesus being resurrected to live the rest of it. If you were to sum up the cost of following Christ.........It will cost you everything!
