  1. If you truly believe depression is demonic, then you must admit that Satan can be overcome with a pill. Oh my.......Sometimes the truth can pop you right in head...
  2. Jesus has a tattoo... Revelation 19:16 New King James Version (NKJV) 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
  3. There is a difference between information and revelation.
  4. Interesting..... What would make you fell better, If everyone held the same revelation about GOD as you do? That didn't occur with the disciples that walked with Christ so why would you think that to be the case now?
  5. We stand at the bottom of the stair case discussing among ourselves the view at the top. We say it's raining down hear and its gloomy, but the man at the top of the stair case speaks and say I can see both down there where you are and up hear where I'm at and its all fine, It just looks that way because you are down there with a limited view. Trust me.
  6. In the case of the folks you mentioned the Bible is nothing if not honest. They are shown to be the fallible humans we all are since the fall. Those men were annointed in their generation for what God called them to, but they still sinned and fell short like we all do. The point was that if someone is teaching something contrary to the Bible, then I'm going to question them on it and I don't care how "annointed" they are. That doesn't mean "shoot the wounded." That doesn't mean they are not believers. It just means they are mistaken -- and don't forget that teachers of the word will be held to a stricter standard than others. That is something I take very seriously. Agreed.....They are held or going to be held to a higher standard, as such I can only pray for them. It's only by GOD's grace I don't stumble as others may. GOD bless
  7. I am curious to understand what you mean by "man made authoritative body"? All through scripture, God uses other people to work in lives of those who needs correction. It is He who chooses who will deliver a corrective message. It is He who works in people through His Spirit. We are to test the (S)pirits to see if they are from Him or not, and when found to be from Him, we do need to listen. If we refuse to listen because we disagree, then the question arises as to who or Who is on the throne of our lives? People refer to commentaries, which are not canonized either. To quote from any book does not make it equal to scripture. Maybe I don't understand what you are referring to, but not everything ever quoted had to be from scripture. It is possible that some facts quested do line up with scripture without the book itself being scripture. IMO, if one needs a text to be canonized in order for a text to be considered inspired scripture of GOD then they are putting limits on GOD. You have it backwards. God moved men to separate His true words from all others because they are His words, not to make them His words. Nobody is placing any limits on God. If I understand you correctly you pointing out that GOD moved man to canonized his word to separate it from others? Yes, the Holy Spirit continues to move in men today. Do you find it hard to believe that He would move men to separate what is His truth from what is not His truth, sort of drawing the line for men. Look at history and how they followed false teachings because someone claimed to of written a message from God. How many books has there been where the author claimed to have a God inspired transcript? Do you believe everything written? No I don't find it hard to believe at all. I'm fully aware that GOD can do what ever he chooses. I'm of the opinion, that there is some text out there that is not main stream, but is full of truth. Meaning it does not contradict scripture and maybe it does not meet the standard for canonization, but it can still be inspired.
  8. Edwin, You summed it up quite well. I think if you really desire to know the truth about scripture GOD will in most instances reveal it to you. God bless
  9. Enoob57 For clarity, are you saying that the book of Enoch is written from an finite perspective where scripture is from an infinite perspective?

  11. Can you define anointed? I will give you an example or two. Bennie Hinn? John Hagee? One mans anointed is another mans nightmare..... Stick to the Word, check every word against the Word, and let the Holy Spirit lead you. Following men will only disappoint in the the long run. I don't follow man and I walk close enough to the spirit to know that man is fallible and revaluation only comes by the holy spirit. Therefore when I hear some one that is not 100% right when it comes to scripture I don't shoot them I pray for them that GOD may revel the truth to them. It's one thing to know the truth and ignore it, but its another to just be plain ignorant. Unfortunately, both leads to the same result.
  12. Being anointed doesn't mean your infallible. One definition. anointed means God has chosen you to carry out a specific tasks. If a denomination believes the Sabbath is on Friday, maybe Saturday instead of Sunday then they are not Christians? If a denomination believes that tithing is not applicable today, but is only relates to the Old testament then they are not Christians? I'm not saying that its wrong to question but beware, for you shall be judge as you judge. Maybe I'm misunderstanding your point, but using your example, Moses,Elijah,Saul,David, Solomon should not be examples an blotted out of the bible or better yet only those you agree with or have the same interpretation/revelation of scripture as you have is worthy to be included in the bible? Just step over what the Lord has decided.
  13. Butero Here you go... Hebrews (NKJV) 10:26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. IMO, I don’t think God would warn us about sinning "wilfully" if we have no "free will"?

  15. While I would consider voting for a nominee who is a true Christian, in all honesty they need to know what the they are doing. I am a Christian, but I hardly think I am qualified to be President of the United States. But tell me, just how would you know that a true Christian is running for President? Would it be because they are not pro- choice? Would it be because they are against gay marriage? I know of many non-Christians who are not pro- choice and many non-Christians who are against gay marriage. Politicians tell us what we want to hear. If they think that it is worth to them to get the "Christian" vote, they will spout what the "Christians" expects them to spout in order to get their vote. I want to see what they have done for humanity. Have they cared for the poor and the sick. Have they given of their time to help those in need? Amen, a lot of wisdom in those word.
  16. Insecurity is a human condition, and it manifests itself in many ways. It is something that can pop up any time and any place. The key is that you should not let it take over your life. Many are bound by insecurity, but will not admit it and rationalize it as something other what it really is insecurity. Insecurity represents a lack/short fall in some area. As Christians we should not be bound by insecurity. Christ was secure. As he is, so am I. John 4:14-15 New King James Version (NKJV) 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
  17. If you compare the characteristics of the fruit of the spirit with that of Love you would see that they align. That is to say without the fruit of the spirit (spiritual maturity) a Christian lacks the capacity to Love as Jesus commanded.
  18. Not at the moment, but I have been through long periods in my life when I was. In retrospect it was during these periods when I drew closer to the Lord. My most intimate times with the Lord occured one on one and not in a setting with others.
  19. Interesting.....I think if you scrutinize any Christian denomination you can find some teachings/traditions/base tenants which can make your eyes squint. However, if someone is anointed by GOD to gather the lost souls to Christ, not locally but on a world wide scale, who then has the authority to speak against Gods anointed? Moses brother and sister did that in the wilderness..
  20. But if he made you, knowing what choice you would make, he did make the choice for you. In the natural, you made the choice, but in reality, God made the choice by creating you the way he did. If I take your premise to it's logical conclusion, then God would be a lie, since I would not have free will? Maybe I missed it earlier in the thread, but what do you believe: All men will be saved? God decides who will be saved? Man does not have free will?
  21. I think if you need some man made authoritative body to determine what is truth and what is not truth, your relationship with Christ may not be as far along as you may think. 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV) For we walk by faith, not by sight.
  22. I trust God will give me all that I need when I need it. His way is the perfect way and his timing is the perfect timing.
  23. Gods does not make the choice for you he just knows the choice you are going to make. He knows the end from the beginning.
  24. It's a controversial topic in Christianity. There are three attributes of GOD which, as Christians we need to keep in the forefront our mind: omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. Scriptures: Isaiah 46:10 (NKJV) 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’ Romans 9:21 21 Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor? 22 What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much long suffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction,23 and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, 24 even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
  25. He has a gift for communicating his position, from a Christian perspective, on some of the more controversial theological issues of the day.
