  1. So if we as believers in Christ are the Temple of God, I Corinthians 3:16; 6:19-20, why do the Jews need to build a third Temple? And how can God's presence be in it?
  2. Oh goody, maybe I need to move out of Minnesota.
  3. 15) But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by One Man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. 16) And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. 17) For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by One, Jesus Christ.) 18) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of One the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. 19) For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of One shall many be made righteous. 20) Moreover the law entered that the offence might abound, But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. 21) That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:15-21 It is most definitely a free gift given to us by God thru our Lord Jesus Christ. But when need to remember that immediately after writing these verses in the next three Paul warns the believers of continuing in sin that grace may abound, Romans 6:1-3. In Ephesians 2:1-6 Paul states that we are made alive/quicken by Christ and than states: 7) That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8) For by grace are ye saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9) Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10) For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:7-10 Isn't it interesting that we all pretty much know Ephesians 2:8-9, which states there is nothing we can do of ourselves to save ourselves which is true, but that following verse 10, states we are God's workmanship to the best of my reckoning that is saying the Holy Spirit reside in our hearts and helps us to perform His good works again this is not works which we can do of ourselves but with the Holy Spirit we produce His fruits, Matthew 7:16-23; Galatians 5:22-25; true faith produce the work of the Holy Spirit which James write about in his book, James 2:14-26. So that yes as believers we receive this free gift which none can add to, but once we accept it God's Holy Spirit starts to work in our hearts to produce not our but His good works. The writer of Hebrews puts it this way: 7) For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing of God: 8) But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursings; whose end is to be burned. 9) But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. 10) For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His Name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. Hebrews 6:7-10 So that we see that as believers if we receive the blessing the Holy Spirit desire to give us by allowing Him to work in our lives we receive blessing from God. But if not just as the three bad grounds in Luke 8:4-15, we will be burned.

Little of the word with little prayer is death to the spiritual fife. Much of the word with little prayer gives a sickly life. Much prayer with little of t.Thanks Jeff, this has help greatly. Bopeep any advice on now not to try to intercept as I think i am probably guilty of doing this way to often.
  5. Thank you for all the replies, they have all help greatly. Zion really liked this post, especially the underlined part, I guess the best way of putting it is I feel a bit dry, and I need to taste the gracious goodness of God.
  6. What are some of the things that you do to have such a solid time with God? Asking as one who really needs to reconnect with God in my prayer life. Any advise would really be appreciated.
  7. If I understand they are both to be destroyed by fire just look at Peter comments in II Peter 3:.7 and. Revelation 21:1. The heavens are God's but we must remember that satan rebel there.
  8. Is argument a sign of a fleshy desire to feel superior? Sometimes, but at times among believers in friendship it can also be sharpening of the mind: Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Proverbs 27:17 Is there such a thing as being too spiritual? Yes and before I knew Jesus as my Savior, boy could I bragged to God how great I was, but this is more of what it is to be spiritually dead, that is without Christ, Ephesians 2:1-10. Now that I know Christ, He is my only Hope. For all my righteousness is as filthy rags before God, Isaiah 64:6. Are those who get caught up in the cares of this world able to be lead by the Spirit of God? It depend to what amount. We all as believers can be carnal. But when looking at the parable of the Sower, Jesus state their are 4 types of ground (the human heart) the seed fell upon, and only one was good. Talking about the 3rd ground Jesus states the seed fell among thorns in Luke 8:7; later in the parable Jesus describe this ground as: And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard; go forth, and are choked with the cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. Luke 8:14 This type of ground is spoken of in Hebrews 6:4-8. One way to tell if it is a believer is if they are living worldly God will chasten His children, Hebrews 12:5-11. So the Christian living worldly are being lead by the Spirit (in a sense) into the Father's Woodshed.
  9. LOL, that makes me so happy to know someone else notice, for a while I thought it was just me.
  10. 25) For I would not, brethren that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits, that blindness in part is happened too Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26) And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27) For this is My covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins, 28) As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sake: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. 29) For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. Romans 11:25-29 Yes God does truly love the Jewish people they are his eternal love: The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Jeremiah 31:3
  11. May God grant you a good year in Christ Jesus, also John.
  12. What really scare me, is when people claimed to have a near death experience and say they walked into the light; I may be wrong but have always wonder maybe satan is up to some of his tricks: And no marvel; for even satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. II Corinthians 11:14
  13. Just tell them you are being a virtuous woman that God mention in Proverbs 31:10-31. At least in my opinion any woman that stay at home to bring up her children so as they can be honoring to God is such a virtuous woman.
  14. Back on April 24, 1997, in Geary County KS, between the town of Milford and Junction City and about a mile from Ft. Riley 3 Rottweilers killed a 11 year boy as he and his little brother were attempting to get on a school bus to go to school. The school bus driver with a bus load of kids had to keep her door shut to protect the rest of the children. And this should never have had happen as many people in this small rural housing area had notify the police several times about these three dogs roaming around all the time. The dogs were known to chase GI, on the top of their cars for safety. After the death of the boy the owners were finally prosecuted.
  15. "Walking Distance" and since it started out spider are creepy, which I really hate, the rest of it read like a what's what of my fears. So at least in my case it was spot on.
  16. I love dogs, I am a foster mum for a rescue and a home boarder for dogs as well as owning 3 of my own. I have also helped to rehabilitate several with severe problems BUT these dogs need to be put to sleep and the owner needs to be jailed. That attack could have killed a child or a less strong person and the woman had no right to take them into a public place I do not remember reading why she dropped the leash. It sounds like those dogs tore that man apart.Very sad. Just read other articles on this and all but one, states that they had an argument so she dropped the leash and let the 2 dogs at him. One article stated that the 2 pit bulls already had a bad reputation in the neighborhood, having already killed three other dogs.
  17. My first thought is I agree, but I will have to think a little more on it. Hoping to see what others will say to help.
  18. Hi all on this wonderful day of Feast of Trumpets. Just wondering some ways you are remembering God's Faithfulness to us as believers in Christ?
  19. Hello Slobpig, and welcome to Worthy. I wonder if you got your username from the Bible But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again, and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. II Peter 2:22 Many have tried to use this verse above along with the 2 verses before it, to try to prove one can lose their salvation. But I also remember a Pastor preaching on this subject stating that Christian are never describe as a dog or pig, but sheep. So that by stating that a dog turned to it own vomit, and a pig washes in her mire; Peter is simply stating what John wrote: They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not of us. I John 2:19 For we as sheep are feed by Scripture, not the vomit of the world that the ungodly feed on. Also as a sheep of God, I have been washed in the precious blood of the Lamb of God: 18) Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19) But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot: I Peter 1:18-19
  20. Hello Endtimewarrior424, and welcome to Worthy; if you really want to exalt Christ and help put a stop to the works of satan, preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and pray.
  21. So if one asked softly, "Why are you trying to provoke an argument?" It should work. Next time I get my bumpers bumped up by them, I shall try it out. I think asking why are you trying to provoke an argument, might just fall under the latter part of Proverbs 15:1 that is grievous words stirring up wrath. But maybe say something like we will just have to agree to disagree. But if you can politely and calmly challenge their view I would say by all means do so. The following is just something I try to do after in another forum, chewing out someone because I thought they say something nasty about me the person later deny it was about me (but even if it was about me; their offense definitely was nothing in comparison to my reaction) so when I challenge a person for trying to provoke an argument with me, I really stirred up the wrath between us both. So since than I will often leave at most two or three comments in a thread, unless I see a serious doctrine of Christianity in question. Sometimes I can even tell by the way I first react to an answer that one post is more than enough, and Zion whoever you are talking about from the sounds of things, they either have a reputation as a troll or they are heading at a fast pace in that direction.
