  1. as i read your post, it brought me back to a similar place in my life 18 years ago. i was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and the prognosis was 6 months; i've been cancer free and doctor free for 16 years now, and received numerous other healings over those years. i've prayed with people and seen immediate healing received, and gradual healing received over time; and this is entirely logical based on scripture; i've experienced instant healing and gradual healing in my own body, and i understand why based on scripture. but there's some things you need to understand about receiving healing from God; it's not that some people have the gift of healing and others don't - every Christian has the gift of healing (albeit most either don't know this or have been somehow prejudiced against the concept) - for themselves - for their own healing - you don't need to go to someone else. the gift of healing commonly referred to as one of the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit (which i think you are referring to) is something every Christian can operate in - but like all the gifts of the Holy Spirit, it cannot be done outside of the leading of the Holy Spirit and is always directed toward healing others instead of one's self - but the good news is, healing is already available to you, the Holy Spirit is always leading you and everyone else to receive it (His healing power is always on), and the key to receiving it is the simple law of faith - now don't get defensive - you OBVIOUSLY have faith; and since faith is a gift from God and everyone gets the same amount - a mustard seed sized chunk of faith that can move mountains - faith is not the variable; and this is actually good news, because no one is gonna force God to give them more faith. the variable is what Jesus called 'unbelief'; and this is better news, because your unbelief is entirely under your own personal control. the effectiveness of faith is the result of the combined and opposite effects of faith (believing God, who is His word) and unbelief (reports that oppose God's word - doctors reports, test results, the body's 'voice' of pain and fear, all the predictions of likely bad outcomes you can find on the internet about the type of sickness you suffer from, etc.). faith and unbelief are opposites. let's say your faith and unbelief is like two teams of horses connected to each other through a carriage that you're sitting in, and pulling in opposite directions. the number of horses on the faith team is constant, but the number of horses in the unbelief team is variable and under your control. if you have less horses on your unbelief team than God put on the faith team, your faith team will drag your unbelief team backward, and pull you toward life; the less horses there are on your unbelief team, the faster the faith team will pull you toward life. if you add horses to the unbelief side, the faith team will slow down; once you add the same number of horses to the unbelief team as are in the faith team, a standstill is reached (your faith is 'bound'). keep adding horses to the unbelief team and the unbelief team will move you faster and faster in the direction of death. unbelief comes in 3 basic forms: 1-'natural' or 'physical' unbelief - where sickness is concerned, symptoms that you feel in your body - pain, weakness, cold symptoms, etc. - this form of unbelief results from focusing on the 'voice' of your own physical body 2-lack of complete understanding of the gospel 3-wrong thinking based on wrong teaching, bad experience - yours and/or others, etc. " Fast forward 25 years, I myself am a chemical engineer, so when I found out I was sick I intially turned to my mind and exhausted every possible option that mankind has to offer which left me back at square 1. " all this stuff opposes what God has said - that He sent His word to heal you - and builds your unbelief (#3 above). since you've started seriously seeking God in His word and stopped researching the world's wisdom, and exercised faith in His supernatural healing, hope has risen up and you're confident that God wants to heal you - you've reduced this 'learned' unbelief by focusing on God's word. does this make sense? i edited the post after posting it, and removed the 'if' from the last sentence; that was a typo
  2. mercy triumphs over justice; if you wrong someone(even if they've since forgiven you), asking for mercy (apologizing) will help them fight the natural urge for justice in that situation going forward so that they can just forget about it. but primarily the apology is for the benefit of the offender; it is the manifestation of repentance.
  3. you can't know in this life; you must take God's word for it: Luk 11:5-13 KJV (5) And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; (6) For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? (7) And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. (8) I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth. (9) And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. (10) For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (11) If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? (12) Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? (13) If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Luk 11:5-13 GW (5) Jesus said to his disciples, "Suppose one of you has a friend. Suppose you go to him at midnight and say, 'Friend, let me borrow three loaves of bread. (6) A friend of mine on a trip has dropped in on me, and I don't have anything to serve him.' (7) Your friend might answer you from inside his house, 'Don't bother me! The door is already locked, and my children are in bed. I can't get up to give you anything.' (8) I can guarantee that although he doesn't want to get up to give you anything, he will get up and give you whatever you need because he is your friend and because you were so bold. (9) "So I tell you to ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. (10) Everyone who asks will receive. The one who searches will find, and for the person who knocks, the door will be opened. (11) "If your child asks you, his father, for a fish, would you give him a snake instead? (12) Or if your child asks you for an egg, would you give him a scorpion? (13) Even though you're evil, you know how to give good gifts to your children. So how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?"
  4. Mat 19:16-17 KJV (16) And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? (17) And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 'cold' is a term we use to describe the absence of heat; heat is something that exists, something created - but cold is not a thing that exists, but a term to represent the absence of heat evil isn't something created; it is a term to represent the absence of something created by God: good.
  5. thank you for your mercy and grace! give me a little more mercy and grace as i explain further the bible gives two definitions of 'sin', which are really one in my mind: Rom 14:22-23 KJV (22) Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. (23) And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. now we know that faith is believing God; so: whatsoever is not of believing God <faith> is sin 1Jn 3:4 KJV (4) Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. while Jesus did go to the cross and therefore did not transgress the law (the word of God that He would go to the cross); if he had doubted in the garden, it would have still been sin. indeed, sin originates in the heart; the sinful action is the birth of the conception of sin, which is unbelief; so unbelief is at the core of every transgression of the law. in the example of adultery, Jesus said that to think lustfully about a woman who isn't your wife is the same as the act of adultery; so if Jesus had considered His own life to the point where He asked God to change His plan for redemption and deliver Him from the cross, He would have been in disagreement with God about that plan of redemption, and therefore already in sin - so He couldn't have doubted God's wisdom in this way...
  6. Jesus did pray that "this cup" be taken away from Him, but what exactly "this cup" was is not clearly defined in scripture, at least to my limited knowledge of scripture. tradition says that Jesus wanted to be delivered from the cross; but that doesn't make sense to me at all; if He had wavered on this most important part of His ministry, he would have been in unbelief about God's plan for the redemption of man, and therefore in the sin of unbelief, and no longer fit to be the sacrifice for all transgressions of the law for all time. personally, i believe what Jesus was asking to be delivered from was having to watch the people He died for reject Him as He hung on the cross; i think He wanted to be delivered from watching them choose eternal death as He gave His mortal life for them. Clarke's commentary on Mat 27:46 and Psalms 22:1 proposes that the correct translation of Psalms 22:1 is along the lines of “How astonishing is the wickedness of those persons into whose hands I am fallen!”; thus indicating that Jesus' focus while on the cross (and therefore in the garden when He prayed) was the same as during His ministry - on others rather than Himself. God's sacrifice as Jesus stands alone in my mind; there is no requirement for anyone else to give their life in addition to Jesus - so i think Paul may have simply missed God's leading about having to go to Rome to die for the gospel's sake; and we don't know from scripture how Paul did die - we only have tradition to suggest that he was martyred... ok now; drop those rocks!!!
  7. Yahweh knew 7000 years ago before He created the heavens and the earth and all life at what point everyone or anyone would be satisfied or not. Yahweh does whatever He pleases, and Yahweh may at any time do something for a person, or against him, but that person's will and choice to accept the truth or not, to be satisfied or not, is still that person's free will. As for the other meaning --- 'satisfied' > "sufficient' quality and quantity to meet the actual need or needs, Yahweh provided GENEROUSLY and FREELY everything needed, always, forever, for this life and for eternal life, in Yeshua HaMashiach, according to HIS WORD. we seem to agree - but - God has limited what He will do by His word in which He delegated unrestricted authority (dominion) over the earth to people in flesh bodies (Gen 1:26; Psalms 115:16). it is through yielding this authority back to Him by striving to be led by Him that people who are reborn in Christ avoid premature destruction in this life (Pro 22:3; Luke 13:1-5) - so it is us who decide when we are satisfied with this life; if we don't direct the steps of our own paths, but strive to yield to His leading instead.
  8. IMO, Rhoda, like we so often are, was so keenly aware of the power and authority of men's government that she never considered that the power of God was infinitely greater, and that their prayers of faith in the authority Jesus gave them could set Peter physically free from prison; so she assumed Peter was still in prison even though he stood before her in the flesh. often times, if we saw in the flesh what we prayed for in the spirit, it would shock us in a similar way because of our natural unbelief that comes from our 5 senses and opposes our belief in God's word; such 'natural' unbelief causes us to be blind to God's power when we get over a cold, or get grace at work instead of being fired - we fail to recognize God's power in 'little' things; and so also fail to recognize His power in 'big' things such as healing from cancer or 'finding' a good job. we intellectually believe in the power of God, and yet expect the same natural laws that bind the lost to bind us as well...
  9. those who seek to know God based on faith in His grace enter into life eternal, which is to know Him, before leaving their flesh bodies. when people leave their flesh body (physical death), those who know God go to be with Him; those who have rejected God go to the only place reserved to honor their decision not to know Him, which we typically refer to as hell. remember that God's love for man was established before man was created, as God's plan of redemption has existed from the beginning; so He surely would not send someone to hell who sought to know Him through faith in His grace and physically died before Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection. while Jesus' account of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16 does imply that there was a 'staging area' for people who sought to know God through faith in His grace and died physically before Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection, we have no clear 'second witness' of this in scripture (that i am aware of), so we don't know. but we do know that God is perfect love, and perfect love overcomes all, so we can rest assured that those who sought to know Him through faith in His grace and physically died before Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection were not judged and condemned to hell.
  10. there are only two groups of people from God's standpoint: those who believe Him and those who don't; those who believe Him enter into fellowship with Him that results in life now and forever (for He is the Source of life); those who don't believe Him can't enter into fellowship with Him, and remain separated from the Source of life (God) both now and forever. Rev 21:9-10 KJV (9) And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. (10) And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
  11. 1Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. i believe patient endurance refers to sustained faith over time; those who patiently stand in faith do not have to leave to avoid tribulations; they can stand against them and overcome
  12. absolutely; and i would hope i'd remember Paul's example and start praising God while in the stocks from a genuine heart that would get God to tapping His foot and shake the jail doors open so that i could preach the gospel to the stunned jailers that expected me to run
  13. Sister, God wants to increase you; He wants you to have seed to sow as well as bread to eat. but He has given you authority in your own life, and needs you to agree with Him about this. you have denied your flesh to seek God, and that is commendable, now do the rest of what He has told you to do - expect Him to fill your cup until it runs over; expect Him to fill your basket through others and then overfill it after you have shaken it down; expect His grace to abound to you so that you will have all sufficieny in all things, thus enabled to do every good work He wants to do through you
  14. Php 3:8-11 KJV (8) Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, (9) And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: (10) That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; (11) If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. i was an old sinner, but i got saved by faith in His grace, and now i am no longer an old sinner and never will be again; i am the righteousness of God through Christ - regardless of my performance. pride is like a stick; on one end is arrogance and on the other end is shyness - a shy person is a proud person who doesn't see that they have anything to be proud of. pride is simply self-focus rather than God-focus; whether you are reflecting on how close to Christ-likeness you have become in your flesh, or reflecting on how far from perfection you are. i heard a joke that might help with this. a church held a contest to recognize the most humble person in the congregation. after the votes were tallied, the person with the most votes was presented with a lapel button that said 'most humble person in the church'; but when the person with the most votes received it, they took it back because he had demonstrated pride by receiving it... Bible humility is to say what God says about you in spite of all the other reports. Let's say that you said something nasty to your Mama, and you judged yourself, received God's already-available mercy, forgiveness and grace, and apologized to your Mama for what you said. time passes and you are reminded by your enemy of what you said, bringing up feelings of guilt and self-condemnation. if you yield to those feelings and beat yourself up for your mistake, you are proud - putting the badness of your actions above the sacrifice that Jesus made to completely atone for those wrong actions. but if you resist those guilty feelings by speaking aloud that you are the righteousness of God through Christ in spite of your mistakes, you are biblicly humble
  15. Hi disciple, You will meet Jesus face to face someday ,are you are on your knees at all times to pray for the unsaved people ? Do you have family members not saved? I think I go on my knees and not get up until the moment comes to be with the Lord, all our earthly cares will be no more...so maybe your daily routine would take a new direction? i realize that God is more motivated to save people than anyone else will ever be including myself; praying for others to be saved may somehow do some good, but it certainly doesn't align with God's instructions for us regarding the lost. we are told to preach the gospel to the lost directly, not beg God to do something more from a prayer closet. my prayer for the lost is 'Father, i know you love this person more than i do, and you need no encouragement from me to save them - they have to use their free will to receive salvation, and in order to do that they must hear the gospel; You alone know who they will listen to, if it's me, then send me Lord; i'll go and preach the gospel to them." when the Master comes, my goal is to be found preaching the gospel, healing the sick, casting out devils, freely giving
  16. spiritual - focused on God, led by God, able to resist feelings of fear, in peace and joy regardless of circumstances, having a heart desire to help others without expectation of repayment from them, ruled by the revealed written word of God in spite of what your 5 senses tell you carnal - focused on self, led by self, slave to feelings of fear, in torment because of circumstances, having a heart desire to profit directly from the repayment of those you help, ruled by what your 5 senses tell you Rom 8:1-39 KJV (1) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (2) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (3) For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: (4) That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (5) For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. (6) For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (7) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. (8) So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. (9) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (10) And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (11) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (12) Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. (13) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. (14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (15) For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. (16) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: (17) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. (18) For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (19) For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. (20) For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, (21) Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. (22) For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. (23) And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. (24) For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? (25) But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. (26) Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (27) And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. (28) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (29) For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (30) Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. (31) What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (32) He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? (33) Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. (34) Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. (35) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (36) As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. (37) Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. (38) For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, (39) Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  17. i've already met Him; but i don't think that's what you mean. if you would do something different than you wold normally do, then a change is needed in your normal routine
  18. how would your target audience receive a queen as a representation of God? don't be too quick to answer... God knows who your target audience is; go with the choice that has the most peace (or least turmoil) as you seek His leading
  19. And based on Scripture there are only "twelve apostles of the Lamb" (Rev 21:14), and only 12 names inscribed on the 12 foundations of the wall of the New Jerusalem. And the Lord was very precise -- 12 apostles, 12 thrones, 12 tribes of Israel (Mt 19:28). We should not play fast and loose with Scripture. Heb 3:1-2 KJV (1) Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; (2) Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. Apostle...Christ Jesus that would be 13... in Mat 19:28, Jesus was speaking to the twelve that included Judas Iscariot; are you saying that Judas Iscariot's name is included in Rev 21:14? fast and loose?
  20. my understanding is that the 'twelve' were assigned to minister the gospel to the israelites (to correspond to the twelve tribes of israel), while Paul was assigned to minister the gospel to the gentiles; so he was #13. the Thayer definition for 'apostle' in Romans 1:1 is: 1) a delegate, messenger, one sent forth with orders 1a) specifically applied to the twelve apostles of Christ 1b) in a broader sense applied to other eminent Christian teachers 1b1) of Barnabas 1b2) of Timothy and Silvanus so that makes at least 16 apostles. anyone who has been or is called by God to be a messenger or 'teacher of the gospel' since would also be an apostle by this definition, although simply calling one's self an apostle does not make it so strong's definition is: From G649; a delegate; specifically an ambassador of the Gospel; officially a commissioner of Christ (“apostle”), (with miraculous powers): - apostle, messenger, he that is sent. so the presence of miracles in someone's ministry could be an indication that they are an apostle. Joh 14:12 KJV (12) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. based on John 14:12, any reborn believer today can be an apostle
  21. GREAT news!!! thank you for sharing!!! YAAAAAAAA GOD!!!
  22. Gen 1:26 KJV (26) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. God gave man unconditional dominion over all the earth, and no one can change that but God. Adam (and everyone else since except Jesus) yielded that authority to the devil, which is the ONLY reason the devil can affect any change at all in the earth (that is, in the physical world - the devil can only act in the physical through a man who has yieled his Gen 1:26 authority to him). there are only two ways that God could take this unconditional authority back - either by going back on His word (which would destroy all He created, including man, since all things are upheld by the integrity of His word); or to become a man in a flesh body and regain that authority as a man under Gen 1:26. God's great love for man prevented Him from exercising the first option. so in effect, the devil saw that by deceiving man into yielding his authority in the earth to him (the devil), he (the devil) could hold man hostage and escape the wrath of God for a time - for as long as there are men that God loves who are yielded to him (the devil). Jesus (Emanuel, God with us) was indeed God in a flesh body, but He put aside His power as God and operated as a man with Gen 1:26 authority, as an example to us of how to wield this God-given authority in the physical world; and He never yielded His God-given authority as a man to the devil like the rest of us have done. the devil and his bunch respect God's authority because they recognize Him as Almighty; whether that authority is exercised by God Himself or by God's delegate. Jesus, as a man, took back from the devil the authority that man had yielded to him (the devil) through His sacrifice on the cross as our substitute; so those of us who are reborn in Christ (having become new creatures with that Gen 1:26 authority) have that same authority over the devil, when we use that authority according to God's leading - when we are led by God, the devil no longer sees us, but sees the God that leads us; and he MUST yield to the Almighty because there is no more hostage for him (the devil) to stand behind when he (the devil) faces a reborn believe who is led by God and understands his Gen 1:26 authority in the earth.
  23. Joh 12:28-29 KJV (28) Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. (29) The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him. in every instance of angels speaking in the bible that i'm aware of, they were speaking for God (with the exception of the devil and his bunch of course); so what you heard may well have been an angel's music played for you at God's command. based on the scripture above, most people would assume it was from some natural source such as someone playing an instrument from a nearby house balcony that was hidden from view from people in the park; some would say that it was an angel; some would say that it was God. since there's no way to know in this life, my advice is to assume that this was God demonstrating His goodness toward you that's independent of your performance, but based exclusively on His love for you, as you would desire to recognize Him as the source of this goodness. if you look for the goodness of God in your life, you will find it; if you don't, you will hear a lot of 'thunder' instead, like most of the world where are you now with God?
