  1. Praying and Bible meditation are the key. it helped to include others in this exercise. below have helped me tremendously Family prayers. Monthly fasting prayers along with family. Worshiping with family and encouraging kids. Small group Bible studies. With a couple of close friends. Bible study with wife Attending prayer meetings at Church and praying along with Church members
  2. I know him very well and his testimony. I was following all his vlog updates in Youtube. I used to follow him pretty close even before he was diagnosed with cancer. Thanks for asking
  3. Yes, Amen! completely agree. As a father, it would hurt me so much to leave my precious little ones. Recently someone called Nabeel Qureshi (Christian apologist) passed away due to cancer at the age of 34. It was his personal gain. But he had 2 year old daughter. His only worry was leaving behind his daughter and she has to grow up in this dangerous world without her father. He was so burdened by that along with rejoice of being with heavenly Father. It was so disheartening.
  4. It is a personal gain for anyone who leaves the earth. But at the same time it is a struggle to leave behind loved ones. Some may not be saved. It is lot of pain in such cases.
  5. This is not surprising at all. First, many people call themselves as Christians even without stepping into Church once or reading Bible once. Lot of people are born to Christian parents and identify themselves as Christians for name sake. The survey probably does not care about that. But I would not be surprised if such high percentage is noticed within Church goers. People try to find answers for divorce from Bible without understanding how marriage is supposed to be built. My humble opinion is that many Christians fall into adultery even before marriage. Living together and premarital relationships are very common among Christians also. When a person gets married after doing such things before marriage, the sanctity of the marriage is already spoiled. To reduce divorce, a fix is needed on how people are getting married. Only then stronger marriages can be built.
  6. This is way over my head! I have seen lot of explanation in answering genesis website. I cannot understand anything in this website! May be you can given it a shot https://answersingenesis.org/creation-science/baraminology/getting-enough-genetic-diversity/
  7. And probably world would think some rogue nation has attacked them or aliens have done something or may be they would even say Climate change caused this!! I think people can easily come up with alternate reasons for rapture. That's what would happen. And antichrist will lead that deception
  8. I think the rapture would be fast, extremely fast. Rapture itself means taken forcefully. We would be taken up so fast that it would happen within blink of an eye. I don't think unbelievers would even realize that something happen. All they would see would be after effect of rapture, which would be missing people. If this is something the unbelievers witness, then there is no reason for them to deny Christ anymore. Bible does not talk about people coming to Christ after rapture. In fact, the whole earth would be filled with unbelievers. Tribulation would bring mostly Jews back to Christ. Based on these points, I don't think unbelievers would witness rapture unfolding.
  9. True! The devil is attacking the family. Once family relationship is broken, everything falls apart. People who divorce just because of "difference in opinion" are just falling to deception of hell itself. Every time I see a family break apart, my heart pains. Because a family just fell to the plan of devil.
  10. We can never make anyone Christian. We cannot make even a single person Christian through any level of persuasion. Salvation is a work of Holy Spirit. We simply carry the good news. To answer your question, I don't think it will ever happen. As said above, would happen for a while during millennial reign
  11. This is from Wikipedia. I think this is a fair definition. Mainstream Christianity is a term used to collectively refer to the common views of major denominations of Christianity (such as Orthodox Christianity, Roman Catholicism, Anglicanism, and Protestantism) as opposed the particular tenets of other Christian denominations. The context is dependent on the particular issues addressed, but usually contrasts an orthodox majority view against a heterodox minority view. In the most common sense, "mainstream" refers to Nicene Christianity, or rather the traditions which continue to claim adherence to the Nicene Creed.[10][11]
  12. I take care of dishes and laundry all the time. I hope something gets invented which would put the plates in dishwasher in right order from the sink. And something that would fold the clothes properly after dryer is done.
  13. There is no mediator between Jesus and men. There is direct access and we don't need another person to receive forgiveness. John 20:23 can mean that apostles had privilege to forgive sins only if we look at it in isolation and ignore rest of the Bible. All through the Bible we see the point emphasized that there is no mediator. First few chapters of Hebrews were written just for this purpose! How can a single verse contradict rest of the Bible? If we look at the preceding verses, the message is very clear. We are bearers of Gospel message. We have the standard by which people would be judged. As we proclaim the gospel message, we know whether a person's sins are forgiven or not based on the standard. Based on the path that is available for forgiveness of sins.
  14. Bible does not say God forces anyone into hell. Everyone "chooses" hell by default. But God chooses to save few out. That is predestination. Instead of saying God is sending someone to hell, it is right to say that God chooses some to heaven while everyone chose to go to hell by default
  15. As someone who comes from India, I completely agree with the summary from gotquestions. My suggestion would be to stay away from yoga.
  16. LOL! If you don't take a stand, then you don't know something! You are an ideal candidate for others to shove down their doctrine.
  17. And do not be surprised if you one day start speaking in tongues! We might like some particular gift. But Lord knows which ones He needs to give us. He might totally surprise you!
  18. Speaking in tongues is a "gift" of the spirit. It is a gift. Which means, Lord gives it to whom He seems fit. And gift is not something given to everyone. And gift is not something demanded and received by the receiver. It is at the discretion of giver. I have no idea how people call it a gift and say it is absolutely required for every Christian! Defeats the purpose of calling it a gift. Pray and ask the Lord to show the gift(s) He has given you already. And use that gift for the glory of God.
  19. A good theory. And that's exactly what this would be, a good theory. Bible is very clear that taking the mark is blatant rejection of Jesus Christ. A cashless system is not exactly rejection of Jesus Christ and His salvation. The same theory could have been applied when SSN was discovered. When credit cards were discovered. When bar codes were discovered.
  20. That would be a perfectly fine response on many occasions. Not everyone knows all the details. At least they are making the effort and not acting like nothing happened! This is often used when the person does not know anything about what's going and still tries to make the other person feel better. God does know exactly what everyone is going through.
  21. It is quite dangerous to state that "ALL" depression is due to sin or demons. Clinical depression is proven. There are also other forms of depression arising out of sin or oppression by demons. I am not denying that either. Irrespective of reason, Jesus is the ultimate Healer. Have you heard of post-partum depression? I have personally witnessed that. I am very sure lot of moms can bear witness to post-partum depression. So demons possess them right after they have babies? How lust, hate, anger, perversions comes into a discussion on depression? Why are you equating depression with these other sins? This is your problem. You are equating depression with sin. Which is not the case.
