  1. Aww this saddens my heart, but I also rejoice knowing he is with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Rest easy FresnoJoe
  2. I know of a few, but I specifically wanna know the title to this cartoon. Do you know it??
  3. Merry Christmas to you all. Jesus is the reason for the season. PTL! Maranatha!
  4. I would like to make a comment , in all my years of celebrating Christmas I never once thought I was celebrating nimrod or any other false gods. We always made it about jesus' birth and how it was the greatest gift to mankind. We read Luke ch.2 and pray and invite the Lord's presence into our day. We'd then eat breakfast as a family and afterwards open gifts, and spend the day with family. Now on the other hand , the older I got the more I questioned things about Christmas. I always thought , if Jesus is King of the jews and followed Jewish traditions why don't we as Christians do the same?!? Also I have to admit that @Bawb shows some pretty good evidence on the topic and backs it up with scripture. When I ask the same kinda questions I get the same kinda responses he gets (although I don't believe as he does) it just strikes me as odd when asked to show scriptural proof about Christmas in the Bible, you find none. The responses I seem to get when I ask people is the tap dance around scripture and more of their own interpretation. I've gone back and forth now for weeks about whether or not to celebrate Christmas as I have in the past or to shut it down completely. I have this year told my oldest that santa isn't real.. (I had to find that out for myself when I was young) and all the YouTube videos I watch on Christmas being a pagan holiday seem to make sense to me and alot of what bawb says seems to make sense to me as well. @Bawb I see your seed being planted and I take what you're saying into consideration. also on the other hand I do see the rebuttal scripture Roman 14:4 to be a good counterpoint to what you're saying. All in all I'm still learning and taking all scripture into prayer and pray that the holy spirit leads me into truth. Love you all , be blessed Greenie
  5. I've seen that video in my yt feed before but never watched it till now. I must say it makes me think long and hard about my view on pre/post tribulations. I've heard some great pastors preach and teach the pre viewpoint but I haven't heard many speak of post. (I wonder why??) ? Either way this man makes a very convincing debate or whatever you wanna call it for a post trib. I go to a church where they teach pre trib and it's pretty much all I've ever heard my whole life. Now that I'm older and study for myself I see a post trib being more suitable and fits in with the Bible alot more. I mean I see how people can come to a pre trib view point and I love the idea of pre trib. How's that old saying go , pray for the best and prepare for the worst. I'm gonna download that app and see whats up lol
  6. Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends on worthy. May the Lord be with you today and always HAPPY THANKSGIVING ?
  7. 1 of mine is people who park at the front curb of a grocery store or Walmart, like that's not a parking space my friend. Thats meant for fire fighters, ems, or police. Idc if your only going in for 5 mins or 30 seconds...use a parking space. Also when people who use foul language especially when it's very unnecessary. And my own personal pet peeve is to my self like when I point out other peoples sins in my head and then say to myself worry about the plank in my eye before I try to help the splinter out of someone else's eye.
  8. Do you know what cartoon this is...has me interested and if it is biblical I'd love for my kids to watch it....been trying to get them off secular t.v

    Metaverse

I just don't see how anyone could "play" or be in this metaverse all day. I mean your physical body has to eat and sleep. Also whose paying the bill for you to be hooked up to this all day, you'd have to work to pay the internet bill to be connected right?!? I have no desire to be in a metaverse all the day long. Life is short and we have very little time so we have to get out and live it while the good lord has given us the time. Besides I would rather be grounded in reality then spaced out in virtual reality.
  10. So then come judgment day, you will be judged by the law?? And not covered by the blood of Jesus?? Have you been keeping all 10 perfectly the whole time? (In thought, word, and deed) I thought that's what Christ Jesus came to fulfill. Since we as sinful natured humans can't do. That's why I trust in Jesus' sacrifice...right?!? What am I getting wrong here?? Read all of this in a friendly tone because that's how I mean it. Just asking questions
  11. Is this touching the 7th day Adventist teaching??
  12. I hear that argument alot...would you be included in that same sense?? @Justin Adams I would love to get to know your views. I've read many responses by you that make me think and go over my own beliefs. Maybe when you got some time P.M. me and we can chat. I've grown up in the dispensational teaching and I know you got some counterpoints to that. Iron sharpens Iron right?!? I'm just asking for some insight and friendly conversation.
  13. By TEN WORDS , do you mean the 10 commandments?? I'm just asking because I've been going back and forth with different Christian brothers and sisters (even my parents) that we are to keep the 10 commandments. Which Jesus brings down to 2, Love God with all your heart mind and soul and love your neighbor the same way. I've been told that Jesus is our sabbath rest and it didn't matter what day we choose to worship as long as we set aside a day to do so. To me when I read the Bible, it's all over the place Jesus says to keep my commandments. (Does he mean the 10??) I would think so.
  14. So are we to keep the Saturday sabbath? If not are we sinning and on the way to hell??
  15. I've been into several here lately...one I like is dr. Gene Kim (uses a white board and explains things in a great way) and I also like the beat with Allen Parr. If you like apologetics I'd suggest cross examined with Dr. Frank Turek.
  16. I was looking at other religions to see how they differ from mine, I came across some reformed Christians, some hyper grace Christians, catholics, and the one that gets me the most right now is Hebrew Israelites. Now they teach (from what I gather) is that Christianity was hijacked from them by the white colonizers and that (pretty much all non white people) are the real jews or Hebrews. Jesus isn't white (which I believe) that he was a black man (which is also more plausible, even over the olive skin tone ) that p.o.c decend from Jacob and white people from Esau and that the Holy Bible was written to them. Some believe and teach that all people can be saved through faith, while some still hold "the laws" as true even to this day. ( I think we should live by the 10 as best we can which boil down to the 2 stated by Jesus- Love the lord your God with all your heart soul and strength. And love your neighbor the same way) now idk if the Hebrews mean all 613 laws or not. On a side note, I've been binge watching Pastor Stephen Darby from Destined Ministry (R.i.p. he passed away in 2017) alot on YouTube. Go check him out. This man can preach and teach like no other I've heard. I don't find him to be racist or prejudice against white people but he definitely holds to the Hebrew Israelite doctrine. I guess what I'm trying to get at is...do you find this to be true?? He can back up everything he says with scripture and I really can't find anything against it. I've always been taught one way so it blew my mind when I hear him preach. Anyways leave me your opinions I'd be glad to hear them Your brother in Christ, Matthew
  17. I don't get it?!? Are you saying there's a hidden meaning in that verse ? Maybe you could explain the whole diagram thing to me or give me a reference video , website , or whatever that would help explain this type of diagramming to me. I've seen Dr. Chuck Misler do a video that kinda touches on this sort of thing. Its interesting I'll admit but my feeble mind doesn't comprehend it yet lol ?
  18. @Josheb I've read through alot of post on worthy and alot of your replies and you peak my interest about biblical history , doctrine, your view points. I'm just trying to learn all that I can.
  19. @David1701 What makes you wary of heiser?? I'm curious to know. I also agree with your explanation on topical preaching, not much depth to it. I'm seeking to find out what the Bible is really meaning to tell us. @Starise I agree with your whole post. Does anyone have any good suggestions on expository teachers or preacher? Someone new i can look into
  20. @Dennis1209 That one got me started and really wanting to watch and learn what he's got to teach. The part about the tribes in the book of numbers is also a little nugget of info. Glad to know someone else enjoys his teachings. @Alive you are also right and true on your response. To me its hard to find a preacher who can do both. I find they're either good at one or the other.
  21. Just a topical discussion here but what do you like (a little more) Teaching, by that I mean being taught the contexts and little details about the scripture. About its roots and how the scriptures line up with other scripture. Or do you like Preaching more, by this one I mean good ol holy ghost filled preaching. A minister whose just on fire about the word To be honest, I love them both but...I really get into good teaching. I love to get into a good Bible study and get knowledge that I didn't receive before. Right now I'm listening to Dr. Chuck Missler and he brings the Bible and science together. I'll admit there's some stuff I don't understand he talks about and that I need to test the spirits but man does he reveal somethings (I don't think you get in church.) Also I've been listening to a little bit of Dr. Michael Hiser and he brings out somethings in the O.T. that I wouldn't have got on my own. Does anyone else listen to these two Bible scholars?? If so what do you like and dislike about there teachings??
  22. @Kelly2363 Wouldn't you have to stay in the faith for this to be applicable??
  23. I don't believe Jesus forces anything. Maybe he will patiently wait for the person to see the error of their ways and want to come back. Also though like you said if they meant it forever well then thats on them and there's no hope. Would that be possible??
