  1. But we are speaking only of the English translations at the moment. There are plenty good translations in other languages written with the same accuracy as the KJV and there are translators out there who do their best to write foreign translations with the same style and truthfulness as the KJV.
  2. You really cant say that as only God is perfect. Not man. Man will always make mistakes and God allows them in all translations, the KJV included, to show only God alone is flawless and perfect. The only thing that matters with Him is that these 'errors' do nothing to change the message. Some bibles are better than others, and some do change the Word of God most dreadfully, like the Message bible and the JWs New World bible. Such bibles should most definitely be avoided. I stand by the KJV and it is the only one I will ever read because it makes the fewest errors. I call into play one example that comes to mind, As anyone knows the KJV makes mention of unicorns. Now keeping in mind that likely very few people in 16-17th Century Western Europe had ever seen a Rhinoceros, so the error is understandable but its still an error regardless. There are also a few mentions of girls wearing EARRINGS in the bible that later commentators have said were probably actually NOSE rings.
  3. If this was not God's will then God would never have allowed it to happen. so that is not for you to judge. The KJV WAS God's will. And it was also God's will that the KJV became the most widely read english translation and has been since it first started taking hold around the mid 1600s
  4. I am a KJV only person myself. Now no English translation is perfect and the KJV makes mistakes occasionally too but the KJV is the only one out there that doesnt dilute or outright remove scripture from the bible. Or cast doubt about the nature of the divinity of Christ. Havent you all noticed how some other bibles, especially the NIV bible, often have these annoying little footnotes saying "The most ancient and reliable texts do not contain such and such a verse", mostly with regards to Jesus' divine nature? What a great way for Satan to inspire doubt in people about the veracity of Scripture. And then you do some real reading about what the translators considered the most ancient and reliable and then you find out that they are NEITHER
  5. Bitcoin Eleutherium, Lightcoin....sound familiar? These are yet one more step to that ultimate cashless society leading to the Mark of the Beast which will be attached to some sort of credit system (maybe bitcoin will be it, who knows)
  6. What would these beliefs be though? Do be careful here that you arent being led astray.
  7. That has nothing whatever to do with a father molesting his daughter. That has to do with a young virgin (therefore not married and still living at home) playing the whore outside the house
  8. Remember too that 'fear' here is to give Him honor and respect. Its not necessarily meant for us to be in abject terror of Him, like a slave fears an evil slavemaster
  9. Would like to know where you are getting that from.
  10. The child was likely a grown child, not a young one.
  11. Yes because that makes the cross of Christ pointless. Now we dont have the right under God to sin with impunity but when we do fall into sin we have the shed blood of Jesus Christ to cover us. We obey the law out of love for Him not because the law saves us which it doesnt. Salvation is a FREE GIFT, not of works lest any man should boast Scripture is plenty clear that the law though not evil in itself leads to death because it makes us aware of our sinful nature. The law was NEVER meant to save. The path to Christ is a particularly difficult one. A well known TV evangelist (Paul Washer) I sometimes listen to likens it to occasionally one step forward two steps back, three steps forward one step back etc etc. As one draw closer to God one draws more and more away from this world but it will always be a difficult path, beset with obstacles that will occasionally make us stumble. NOT fall, but trip up a little. Legalists like the SDAs and Jehovahs Witnesses all seem to believe that if one doesnt have perfect obedience to the law then you cannot call yourself saved, and that is just wrong. They make the cross of Christ to none effect. Nowhere in the bible does it say that Christ and the Law saves. Yes James does say faith without works is dead but works are the fruits of faith, and it is still that faith that comes first, not the law. Sorry, my thoughts here are coming out a bit haphazardly, but I never was a very good writer
  12. I tend to avoid them myself especially the newer movies because they tend to stray badly from scripture. The older movies can make mistakes too but most of them are still far more accurate. Therefore given a choice between Ten Commandments (Heston's version) and the ecumenical/Catholic stuff on TV today, well, the choice is plenty obvious Forgot one, Quo Vadis, 1951. excellent movie. I have the dvd at home (as well as Ten Commandments and Jesus of Nazareth) and cant get enough of it.
  13. Jesus of Nazareth, 1977, with Robert Powell playing Jesus
  14. How interesting that the old abstract bogeyman “terrorism” is even being used to push for a One World Religion. The elite must love that one concept of terrorism given how much mileage they seem to extract from it. Wow I did not know that one
  15. Clearly this is someone who believes the bible isnt enough. When we are called to read the bible alone, not anything outside the canon
  16. Jesus brought up infidelity, that would be a good one. So would physical abuse. Not that that is explicitly mentioned as a reason for divorce but someone above this post quoted Corinthians where it speaks of a non believing spouse who may be released from the covenant of they so wish. Someone who would abuse their spouse willingly and doesnt change would hardly be accounted as a believer.
  17. You going to question God's righteousness?
  18. I just read through that site, just more legalism, Pharisees who want all Christians brought back under the law though their site actually denies this.
  19. Children can be baptised if they are mature enough to understand sin and Jesus' sacrifice. Most children at 5 years old do not have that maturity but you never know, there might be a few that do
  20. You also have Muslims who could call themselves truly devout and believe jihad belongs to the time of their false prophet. Yes that means they are hypocrites in Islam but you cannot say they are not devout because them you would have to call them secular when they arent.
  21. Sorry but extremist is the right word because Islam is all about extremism. You have plenty of devout Muslims out there who are good people and reject jihad but such people dont know their religion from a hole in the wall
  22. Muslims will often respond to that with proofs from the bible that the Jews killed people too. But in that case there are really very few instances of that and those that got killed were enemies of God. It was never about killing the innocents...ok yes there are a couple of examples of children being killed at God's command but when their mommies and daddies have been killed as enemies of Israel what is more cruel? To leave them without anyone in this world to love them and care for them or to kill the innocents so they can go to be with God?
  23. The false prophet is definitely alive and walking the earth right now he is most likely the current Pope, a man known for murder, pedophilia, child trafficking and antichrist statements in his speeches and encyclicals
  24. Just like Martin Luther King who in his final speech just before he died said I have seen the promised land (just before Moses died remember?) Or how about (if there are any wrestling fans here- not me but my husband is), The Ultimate Warrior. His final speech said something about a man's heart will eventually beat its last beat and then the next day he dies of a heart attack. Some people think his water was poisoned to cause a heart attack.
