  1. I've always ask this question but no King James only person can answer the question honestly. Here is the question, "In order to get the official Word of God, do people who speak different languages have to learn English in order to get the true Word of God (aka KJV Bible)?"
  2. So what you are saying is that the translators where inspired by the Holy Spirit, just like the original authors, when they translated the Textus Receptus. This is what we call dual inspiration and it is not scriptural.
  3. Most of the passion if the Christ was his crucifixion. Nothing wrong with that but I like The Jesus Film because it went through his earthly ministry as well.
  4. The Jesus Film for me. To me it is the most accurate out of all of them. It is based on the Gospel of Luke. Quite honestly I don't watch many of them because at some point (other than the one I mentioned) I get disgusted and turn the thing off because what I am seeing isn't even coming close. Directors tend to use a lot of liberties because they have to make the movie exciting to watch otherwise people wouldn't watch movies in general.
  5. So my thought is did the shower make him clean before God? Also I would think that a person that was saved at a young age and then seemed to live his own life the way he wanted would have maybe asked the Lord for forgiveness as well as asked his family for forgiveness of any sin that he may have committed against them. Then he would have been clean before God. As Yowm put it quite eloquently above: I would rather been clean by the blood of Jesus Christ because it is through His blood and His blood alone that I can be clean before God.

  7. Esau was. Jacob was grabbing the heel of Esau as they were born.
  8. So with that being said then we should focus on the images that Jesus has put in place not our own. That was my whole point. And no we cannot user our own fantasies to be more in love with heaven. That is opening up a whole can of worms that we have no need to go down. But I will leave it at this. Have a great day. God Bless.

  10. When did I ever say that heaven is abstract? I never said it wasn't going to be exciting or anything of that nature. I would suggest re-reading my post since I don't think you got the gist of what I was saying. Heaven is not abstract and never will abstract. I long for heaven as much as the next Christian. I look forward to spending eternity living for and pleasing my Savior. My point was not that heaven is abstract my point is that you and I have absolutely no idea what heaven will really be like because you and I are sinful beings with imaginations that are tainted with sin. We look at heaven through our eyes here and hope that somehow the earthly things we like to do are somehow going to be part of heaven. The point that I made was not to not long for heaven but to remember that while we can imagine what we want heaven to be like won't even be close to what heaven really will be. I just choose to trust God's Word that says that it will be perfect and that I will have a new body without pain, suffering, sorrow, etc. That to me is reality. The reality that I will no longer have to deal with this sin nature and sin in general. To me that is what the Christian should desire. Not 'will there be football in heaven.' or 'I would love to be fishing'. These things are pleasurable here on earth but shouldn't translate over into what heaven will be like. But if you and other's choose to imagine what it will be like then so be it. But in the end it doesn't really matter because I am going to assume that you, myself and other fellow believers will be in complete awe and wonder of what heaven really is. And I can probably assume as well that when we are there our whole focus will be on Christ and learning more about Him.
  11. I don't think it really is of any use trying to figure out what we will do in heaven. I do know that we will have new desires that are pure and ones that will be used to bring God glory. The worldly stuff will have passed away and everything will be new. I don't think it is beneficial to try and figure it out because we try to picture what heaven will be like based upon sinful, finite imaginations. So I would rather focus on the fact the one day we will be with Christ and we will enjoy eternity praising and worshiping our Savior and our Creator.
  12. Ecclesiates 7:29 speaks volumes on this subject "This only have I found: God created mankind upright, but they have gone in search of many schemes.". There isn't anything new and stuff like this shouldn't cause us to be in shock because some new group of people are trying to find God in something other than the true God. People are easily deceived and will go after ever wind of doctrine that appeals to them 2 Timothy 4:3 "For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. We who know Jesus as our Savior and have the Holy Spirit guiding us knows the difference between truth and error. We need to remember that those that follow other ways do not know the Lord and are spiritually blind unless their eyes are opened to the truth.
  13. Seven tree what we hear, listen to, watch, etc will have an effect on our minds. I would be curious as to know if you are born again. I would also want to know what type of books do you read? What type of preachers do you listen to and what denomination you lean towards. Are you filling your heart and your mind with God's Word or do you live in paranoia. While I don't know your situation completely (thats why I asked these questions) I would have to probably dismiss the breeze as nothing more than a breeze. A breeze can come from just people walking by you. I for one am very careful in saying something is a demon or is demon related. I am not saying that demons do not exist nor am I saying to dismiss the fact that they are powerful. But in today's world many 'Christians' claim demonic activity for everything. The 'Christians' mostly come from the charismatic circles and from other belief systems that are extremely dangerous. If you are a Christian you should not have to worry about demons and their power over you. We shouldn't live in fear of them because we have power over them through Jesus Christ. I am not saying that we necessarily have the power to command demons to do stuff but I am saying that we have the power to walk away from temptation and we have the power of fear. Here are a couple of verses: II Timothy 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." Ephesians 6:10-17 "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." One last note: You find that demons were cast out during Jesus' ministry here on earth and during the apostles ministry. What I find interesting is that there is not instruction by the apostles as to casting out demons or anything of the sort. Most of what I find is that we are to resist the devil, we are to put on the full armor of God, etc but no where do we find biblical instruction on casting out demons.
  14. Posts and responses ad nauseum.
  15. I hate talking politics. Everyone has their viewpoints and opinions and quite frankly no one has the answers. So the best thing to do is to say, "thanks for your opinion." then move onto another subject.
  16. Yeah that is why my parents listened. They liked the music. They weren't too fond of Camping either. But the music was good and Camping wasn't on 24/7.
  17. Yeah I remember Camping. We listened to his show occasional growing up since my parents liked listening to Family Radio. Yeah he was pretty far out there and his predictions deceive many, many people.
  18. agreed.
  19. If you are even questioning the teachings I would run. Why bother staying? Also if the church is already toxic how can you improve the atomsphere? It requires the whole church to change how things are done not just one person. Again like others have said run, run run away. And when you think you have ran far enough way run away even more :).
  20. There are times yes and there are times no. Doesn't mean I am not saved or anything. Just shows that I am human and that I am prone to mistakes and errors.
  21. You don't seem dumb because you ask a very good question. Gematria is a man made numbering system that is used to somehow find the deeper meanings of scripture. It is really used quite a bit with mystic Jews and it is not scriptural. To answer your second question: The answer is no. Why? Because the system is man made and is not God originated. God did not breathe through Gematria nor did He state in His word that we are to use a man made numbering system. The sad reality is that those that trust in Gematria haven't really looked into what it is or the dangers of using something that is not scripture to interpret scripture. Here is a good article about Gematria if you care to read it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gematria
  22. I don't watch Christian films for several reasons. One they are extremely cheesy and mostly poor acting. The biggest reason however is that every Christian film ends in a good note: Unsaved people become saved, unsaved boyfriends becomes saved, the ending is the happiest ending ever. The problem with this is it creates a mindset that everything in my life will be fixed and will turn out happy. Unfortunately our Christian life is riddled with problems, sorry, pain, etc. There are times that God says no to our request. Sometimes our issues turn out fantastic and other times they do not. But Christian films make us 'feel' good and make us look at God as though He will always answer our prayers with a Yes.
  23. Hard to understand what you are driving at but let me take a shot. People are people. With some people you can relate with better than other people. I tend to have better friendships with those that have similar likes than those that do not. I have acquaintances, friends, best friends, kids and a wife. Each relationship is different than the other. Again don't know exactly what you are asking but let me put this out there: Hypothetical questions are really hard to answer objectively because our answers will never be right. This is because the person asking the hypothetical question already has a set answer in mind and is looking for someone to confirm their answer.
  24. This isn't a separate baptism but is part of the water baptism. We baptize in Jesus's Name to show that the person has died to the sin nature and is made alive through Christ. The baptism doesn't save but is an outward demonstration of the person's salvation.
  25. First there is nothing in scripture that remotely comes close to a Triune Baptism as you suggest. I do know that water baptism is to be done in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost (Matthew 28:19) and water baptism doesn't save but is symbolic of the Christian putting off the old man and putting on the new. But there is nothing that talks about a Triune Baptism as you describe.
