In that case, the problem isnt that its hard. its just taking too long! in my case at least.....

What kind of church are looking for? What are your expectations? What have you been finding in the churches that you have been attending? i guess i am looking for a church where i can learn the ones I have been to either have teachings that dont line up with the word, the teaching is really dry or very basic, services are really short that its over before i realize it has even begun, i am not challenged, no active ministries that do things like outreaches or reach the poor. Many times though, i find a church that has one really good element and not the other. for instance, one church had awesome worship services and they prayed like you wouldnt believe. this church welcomed me in a way that i have yet to encouter at any other church but some of the things they taught just did not line up with the word. another church was really active in things that touch my heart. they had a ministry to reach out to the poor in teh community that was done in love. i mean, one could feel the love by the way they did things. the services though ... so lifeless. yup ... its either one or the other. i really am just looking for a church were they dont preach like we are 10yr olds . i wanna hear the hard truths, i wanna be challenged, i wanna grow. ( i dont mind everything else if they have that.) ok, i am ready to hear it..... i have been going about it the wrong way!

i also have a question: what of people like me who have no church (been looking for years!) and dont really know anyone who is strongly rooted in the word except this one fella.

I am going on 7yrs now without a church - and it sucks! I have visited more churches than i care to remember. its frustrating really. at one point, i forced myself to stay at one church but i figured there was no point, esp since i knew i didnt agree with what they teach. I know for sure that God is in charge of me and has something up His sleeve that He is gonna wow me with so until then .......

the problem i find with my friends who are feminists is that they eventually end up falling in the trap of "everything goes". this includes prostitution because "its her body she has a right to do with it how she pleases" in light of not wanting to "judge". i think this is one of the reasons we need the bible as a standard of moral behaviour because with the "everything goes" type of attitude ....

It seems you are failing to realize the complete picture of the mess that the capitalist world has put us in. i guess its probably best if i leave it at that in light of not hijacking this thread.

my sister is a pilot in training which means she cant fly when the weather is not good. so before she flies, she has to call this information center person thingy to ask how the weather is and they will tell you EXACTLY how it is and when it is expected to get better or worse. its crazy lol. i could ask her about the specifics on how to actually get in touch with those people and what to ask cos i am assuming if u are asking for non-flying reasons, they will hang up on u anyway, you could try that

yes, they minimize their cost by using sweatshops. i mean, its only rational for a kid in [insert sweatshop country of your choice] to be worked an entire day for maybe a tiny paycheck at the end of the month that he/she might or might not get, right? i know people like to dismiss this as some radical nonsense. too bad that its fact.

crazy thing i saw on 'Planet Earth' about Pandas .... I am not sure if they always have twins or not, but if the mom has twins, then she has to decide which one is gonna live and which one she is gonna leave to starve to death cos she can only take care of one. isnt that nuts?
