I'm not against carbon dating, but carbon dating of very old stuff is based upon the theory of a decay rate that is not the actual decay rate of things thousands of years old, science does not know how fast the thousand year old item was decaying at the time it was decaying back a thousand years ago, it's just assumptions. our sun effects the rate of carbon decay as well other things, it can speed up the process or slow it down. that is new science just recently found out,

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

Good points made, and if a person is reading the KJV, then no doubt more investigation is needed especially on what is the correct Hebrew names, is it Kenan or Cainan Enos or Enosh Enoch or Henoch Zidon or Sidon are ust afew of the inconsistency of names in the KJV, I like the KJV but there's issues, like with any translations.

That is interesting, the universe was just a little over 1,000 years old when this tree sprouted from the earth. Great Basin bristlecone pine, 4,844 rings. -

Cool write up, Marble canyon let the carving begin, -
Most of the names were past kings, a lot of them are mentioned in the OT as such. heres a write up I've done that can make it easier to understand the path of Matthew and Luke accounts of the geno. I use the NIV for simplified English wordage. Though I'm not much of a fan of the translation, Luke 3:23 where it says Jesus began his ministry at the age of thirty, is one example. Mt1:1 A record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham: Mt1:17 Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, Fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Christ. (14) ~ generations ~ Mt1:6b: (1st) David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah's wife, Mt1:7 (2nd) Solomon the father of Rehoboam, (3rd) Rehoboam the father of Abijah, (4th) Abijah the father of Asa, Mt1:8 (5th) Asa the father of Jehoshaphat, (6th) Jehoshaphat the father of Jehoram, (7th) Jehoram the father of Uzziah, Mt1:9 (8th) Uzziah the father of Jotham, (9th) Jotham the father of Ahaz, (10th) Ahaz the father of Hezekiah, Mt1:10 (11th) Hezekiah the father of Manasseh, (12th) Manasseh the father of Amon, (13th) Amon the father of Josiah, Mt1:11 and (14th) Josiah the father of (Jeconiah) and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon. (14) ~ generations ~ Mt1:12 After the exile to Babylon: (1st) Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel, (2nd) Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel, Mt1:13 (3rd) Zerubbabel the father of Abiud, (4th) Abiud the father of Eliakim, (5th) Eliakim the father of Azor, Mt1:14 (6th) Azor the father of Zadok, (7th) Zadok the father of Akim, (8th) Akim the father of Eliud, Mt1:15 (9th) Eliud the father of Eleazar, (10th) Eleazar the father of Matthan, (11th) Matthan the father of Jacob, Mt1:16 and (12th) Jacob the father of (13th) Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called (14th) Christ. (40) ~ generations ~ Lk3:23 Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old, when he began his ministry. I follow no one but God, I really don't know much about the prosperity preacher thing. i do know Joseph the rich man who took Jesus body and placed Jesus body in his own tomb was a disciple of Jesus.
-
Indeed where your treasures are your heart is,,, The point of what Jesus was saying to the rich man, is not put ones complete trust in money, yes he said sell all your riches and follow me, but that was a sociology approach, for that is not a requirement to follow Jesus, but He knew the man's heart. the short in stature rich man who climbed the tree to get a look at Jesus, didn't give away all his money just half and that was enough.

i need to know your opinion
BeyondET replied to Evgeniya's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
Yup, God isn't going to allow something the person can't handle, and even on the frontlines good people fall because like you said the running out ahead of the rest, they get impatient, quick to speak slow to think, that is a issue with all humans. -

BeyondET replied to Evgeniya's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
True indeed, In the army of the Lord, there are different levels, there are the gatherers of food, there are the cooks, there are the archers, the horse tenders and reserves etc. but the place that is not for everyone is the frontline, to be on the frontline one needs to know how the enemy attacks, it's weaknesses, how the enemy swings it's sword, once a frontline soldier knows these things, the enemy cannot surprise them, they know it's coming and how to defeat it. -
what do you all understand this to mean
BeyondET replied to john1's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
Hmm good one, how about the even more difficult part of the verse (the evil spirits in the heavenly realms) -

Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton also had autism According to autism expert Simon Baron-Cohen, but there is nothing that says autism causes increased IQ, I think the IQ levels the person is born with rather autism or not.

Correct and His word was probably to choose a verity of deciples, some like Nathanal didn't need much at all to believe, others like Peter and Tomas were hard headed. deeper meanings of the bible isn't the norm in the world it's actually a rarity. At least in my experience i have only known a handful of people who have overcome their fear and have took leaps of faith and believed. There are things I know that I will never share with anyone it's between Me and God, and I'm completely content with no other person ever knowing what I know.
-
True but the Deciples had a hard time believing, and is why he picked them, today people are no different people struggle in believing anything if it isn't written. ive never heard of Corrie boom.
-
We'll depends on the severity, some are mild to sever, my friend son is pretty sever and he has started a new diet program and is having success as well. ive read that the vaccines for infants has had effects, autism is growing at a alarming rate.
-
Here's a huge leap, though I don't expect anyone to see or hear hehe, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who can. the man who the Deciples complained about casting out demons, and Jesus response was if not against us than for us. that man was the rich man, who did everything right yet one thing he liked money. thus went away with his head down, but he came to his senses and heeded thus was a follower of Jesus casting out demons in Jesus name.
-
And this is way off topic of the thread.

The three robes place on Jesus, blue, purple, scarlet, that a good bible mystery as well. The tabernacle.

Well in my opinion, it's the practicing religions of today that are the false teachings, not the person who says his learned a deeper meaning in the bible.
