  1. I believe it's when someone says something is in the bible, but can't show you, for whatever reason.
  2. It is a burden to a lot of women, I don't know what percentage are raped, but 1 in 5 girls are molested, I would pray and continue to pray. Also not everyone who says the have faith do. I try to read these verses every day they encourage me to pray. James chapter 5 verse 17 Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Luke chapter 18 verse 1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. James chapter 4 2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. Isaiah chapter 62 verse 6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, 1 Chronicles chapter 4 10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request. Daniel chapter 9 verse 18 Give ear, our God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy. Matthew chapter 7 verse 7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Ephesians chapter 1 verse 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 2 Kings chapter 20 verse 5 "Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of My people, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. I will surely heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the house of the LORD. 2 Chronicles chapter 16 verse 9 For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war." Daniel chapter 6 verse 23 The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God. Psalm 107 18 They loathed all food and drew near the gates of death. 19 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. 20 He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Isaiah chapter 37 verse 21 21 Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent a message to Hezekiah: “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Because you have prayed to me concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria, 22 this is the word the Lord has spoken against him: “Virgin Daughter Zion despises and mocks you. Daughter Jerusalem tosses her head as you flee. 23 Who is it you have ridiculed and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes in pride? Against the Holy One of Israel! 2 Chronicles chapter 16 7 At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah and said to him, “Because you relied on the king of Syria, and did not rely on the Lord your God, the army of the king of Syria has escaped you. 8 Were not the Ethiopians and the Libyans a huge army with very many chariots and horsemen? Yet because you relied on the Lord, he gave them into your hand. 9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless[g] toward him. You have done foolishly in this, for from now on you will have wars.” 10 Then Asa was angry with the seer and put him in the stocks in prison, for he was in a rage with him because of this. And Asa inflicted cruelties upon some of the people at the same time. Isaiah chapter 45 verse 19 I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I have not said to Jacob's descendants, 'Seek me in vain.' I, the LORD, speak the truth; I declare what is right. 2 chronicles chapter 12 verse 14 He did evil because he had not set his heart on seeking the LORD. Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Proverbs chapter 30 verse 5 "Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Psalm 118 8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans. 9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes. James chapter 5 verse 13, "Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise." Ephesians chapter 3 verse 20 Now to Him who is able to do infinitely more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, Matthew chapter 21 verse 22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." James 1 chapter verse 6 But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. Proverbs chapter 3 verse 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; Hebrews chapter 13 verse 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Deuteronomy chapter 31 verse 6 Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you." Psalm chapter 9 verse 10 Those who know Your name will trust in You, for You, O LORD, have not abandoned those who seek You. 2 chronicles chapter 13 16 The Israelites fled before Judah, and God delivered them into their hands. 17 Abijah and his troops inflicted heavy losses on them, so that there were five hundred thousand casualties among Israel’s able men. 18 The Israelites were subdued on that occasion, and the people of Judah were victorious because they relied on the Lord, the God of their ancestors. Psalm chapter 108 verse 12 Give us aid against the foe, for the help of man is worthless. Psalm chapter 60 verse 11 Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless. 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 17 pray continually, 2 chronicles chapter 33 12 In his distress he sought the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his ancestors. 13 And when he prayed to him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea; so he brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God.
  3. 1 John chapter 2 verse 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. Matthew chapter 9 verse 13 But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." James chapter 2 verse 13 because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. Luke chapter 6 verse 32 "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. When we're able to help, without putting ourselves in a bad position we're to help, we're called to share, not have investments, Jesus also said you can not serve god and money. all we have to do is share.
  4. John chapter 8 verse 31,32 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." I listen to the whole bible about every 2 to 3 weeks, the more you study the more you learn, don't leave it to the pastors to teach you the bible says nothing good about pastors. And studying is the only way to know what's true.
  5. Study the bible, I've read it or listened to it over 200 times, I may have hit 3 but it doesn't matter, you'll meet a lot of people and pastors in church, but you don't know who's telling the truth unless you've studied the bible, and there's a lot of liars who want your money or to have you go to their church. Proverbs chapter 9 verse 11 For through wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life.
  6. I can't think of nothing I can say to help him, but these verses help me I read them every day, if they can help you good, but if not just ignore them. 7. Hebrews chapter 7 verse 19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.
  8. 1 John chapter 1 verse 8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. James chapter 2 verse 10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. Romans chapter 3 verse 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God's sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. 1 Peter chapter 4 verse 8 Love covers a great many sins.
  9. From everything I've read, we're to follow Christ in love, with the remainder of our life, if we don't follow his example of love, we're lost.
  10. 1 John chapter 1 verse 8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. It could be your translation, or it could be your aware of sin, everyone sins and continues to, the only one who never sinned that was human is Christ.
  11. I used to study the bible 2 hours a day, now I listen to a mp3 player about 40 hours a week, I get a lot out of it, I sometimes go through the bible in 2 weeks sometimes it takes a little longer. I listen to 5 chapters when Jesus was alive, and 8 chapters in the later part of the new testament, the rest of my times are in the old testament.
  12. Jude chapter 1 verse 7 In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. 50% of pastors are divorced, 30% have affairs, 60% view pornography, church people are the same, I'm sure. 1 Peter chapter 4 verse 8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Galatians chapter 5 5 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. 2 Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. 3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. 4 You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. 5 For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope. 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. I think we all better hope it's about love and helping people, or we're all condemned.
  13. Leviticus chapter 18 verse 6 "'No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the LORD. Luke chapter 17 26 "Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 "It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 "It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
  14. Ezekiel chapter 16 verse 49 "'Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. I guess Abraham and his family must have helped the poor and needy.
  15. If incest wasn't a sin yet neither was homosexuality. Moses wasn't around until about 4 or 500 years later. John chapter 1 verse 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
  16. Jude chapter 1 verse 7 In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. Lot who escaped from Sodom and Gomorrah slept with his two daughters after. Abraham was married to his sister. Isaac married his cousin. Jacob married two of his cousins. Or is it all about love, Sodom and Gomorrah didn't have that. 1 Peter chapter 4 verse 8 Love covers a great many sins. James chapter 2 verse 18 But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. Any ideas there's nothing in the bible that explains.
  17. Joshua chapter 1 verse 8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. But most people read very little, and misunderstand the law, and what it was for, they use it to judge others, but not themselves, if they used it to judge themselves only, I wouldn't have posted this.
  18. Matthew chapter 9 verse 13 But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Jesus was a sacrifice for the sins of the world. 1 John chapter 2 verse 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. And we both know we both sin, so if someone who sins, preaches against sin, yet sins, are they a wise man or a fool.
  19. NIV May God deal with David, be it ever so severely, if by morning I leave alive one male of all who belong to him!" I can't read old translations, it's easy to misunderstand them.
  20. John chapter 6 verse 44 "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.
  21. The bible is the one good and perfect thing in the world, and it will last forever, but most people don't spend their time studying it. Matthew 24 verse 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
  22. Hebrews chapter 7 verses 11,12 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood for on the basis of it the law was given to the people why was there still need for another priest to come one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law. 1 John chapter 4 verse 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
  23. James chapter 4 verse 11 Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. So are you willfully sinning here, or is it you haven't read the bible enough? Like I said when I had read the bible 30 or 40 times I condemned gays to, now I've read it over 200 times how about you?
