  1. The Lord’s creation at work. A star, the size of our sun, sucked into a black hole. https://news.sky.com/story/amp/black-hole-swallowing-and-ripping-apart-star-captured-for-first-time-11820432
  2. Praise the Lord for you @turtletwo Your gift of poetry so speaks to me, because homesick for Heaven and being forever with a Jesus is exactly how I feel and I know we’re not the only ones who feel that way. Soon and very soon we are going to see the King!
  3. Yes definitely. And how marvellous it will be! Psalm 42 1 As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. 2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?
  4. That's wonderful news. Praise the Lord that He is leading your son in the way He wants Him to go in life. God bless, Becky.
  5. This is what we all need to be reminded of. The reason why we’re journeying through this temporary, short life. To get to our final destination and for the reason the Lord made us. To live with Him, in His presence, for eternity! Praise Jesus!
  6. Hi @turtletwo That’s lovely. Thank you so much for posting that. What an amazing poem you wrote. Praise the Lord for your gift. God bless. Becky.
  7. Hi @turtletwo Ooops sorry, apologies. No, it was a devotional I read on bible.com. And it said that just because we can't physically see Him, He always sees us. Funnily enough, I just sent you PM about something similar, and quoted the verse: Psalm 121:8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. I also love that hymn @Jubilea I haven't heard of it before, but what wonderful lyrics. I'm also with you and Turtletwo, I am very much looking forward to meeting everyone here at Worthy in Heaven, with Jesus. God bless. Becky. xxx
  8. Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
  9. Mercy Me - I can only imagine. As this is something that I often think about. How will we feel when we are there looking straight at Him, and He is looking directly at us, individually! "I Can Only Imagine" I can only imagine what it will be like When I walk by Your side I can only imagine what my eyes will see When Your face is before me I can only imagine, yeah Surrounded by Your glory What will my heart feel? Will I dance for You, Jesus Or in awe of You be still? Will I stand in Your presence Or to my knees will I fall? Will I sing hallelujah? Will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine I can only imagine I can only imagine when that day comes And I find myself standing in the sun/son I can only imagine when all I will do Is forever—forever worship You I can only imagine, yeah I can only imagine Surrounded by Your glory What will my heart feel? Will I dance for You, Jesus Or in awe of You be still? Will I stand in Your presence Or to my knees will I fall? Will I sing hallelujah? Will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine, yeah I can only imagine Surrounded by Your glory What will my heart feel? Will I dance for You, Jesus Or in awe of You be still? Will I stand in Your presence Or to my knees will I fall? Will I sing hallelujah? Will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine, yeah I can only imagine I can only imagine I can only imagine I can only imagine I can only imagine I can only imagine When all I will do Is forever—forever worship You I can only imagine
  10. Jesus. All I want and need is Jesus. I am besotted with Him. I love Him so much. He is everything to us believers. Let us praise His name together! Becky.
  11. Agree totally with @frienduff thaylorde @turtletwo and all those who say that Jesus is the ONLY way. Jesus is the only way to eternal life. The whole bible right the way through from Genesis to Revelations and all the books in between point to Jesus and tell us He is the one, true and only way to Heaven. Becky. X
  12. Lovely song Turtle. Thanks for posting it. Becky. X
  13. A Prayer of God’s Blessing Over Those You Love By Debbie McDaniel “The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you, the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26 As believers, we can know in our hearts that God is sovereign and strong. We can believe that His plans for us, for our loved ones, are for good and that He has blessing in store as we follow after Him. Yet often, when life presses and things feel stressed, when problems overwhelm, and hardships come our way, our focus gets blurred. We somehow start to believe that it all depends on "us." Like maybe we blew it, messed up and got ourselves off the course from "the road to "success." We spin our wheels trying to find a fast way out of difficulty. We feel like it's up to us to make things happen. Stirring up action. Trying hard to get one foot into an open door, or wondering why a closed one shut. We start thinking that if we're not "able enough," "talented enough," "brave enough," that maybe God can't quite use us. We forget, that the very God who created this entire universe, who holds the stars in place, and knows the exact number of hairs on our head, also knows our way. That His favor rests on us as we seek after Him first, and He holds the power to cause things to happen in just a moment, that would otherwise take us years to do. He can line up our pathways to cross with others He wants us to meet. He can open doors that leave us surprised at how they open. He can close doors that He knows are not the best for us. He has a plan, in the good, and in every hard thing we face. And often the greatest blessings come after the greatest times of testing. Over and over through Scripture, we see story after story of when God turned around for good the difficult pathways of those He loved. And He still works the same today, for He never changes. We are children of the King. He is Sovereign and He reigns Supreme, giving favor, guidance, and blessings to all those who seek after Him. And our prayers are powerful on behalf of our families and friends. May His hand of mercy and grace, His presence of peace, be over every one of these who we love so much. We may not be able to be with them every hour of every day. But He is. We can’t see every struggle, every worry, every burden that may weigh them down. But He does. And He is always there, carrying them, and us, straight through. He is a safe place and He is Mighty. Resting there today, hope you are too. Dear God, Thank you for your great love and blessing over our lives. Thank you that your favor has no end, but it lasts for our entire lifetime. Forgive us for sometimes forgetting that you are intimately acquainted with all of our ways, that you know what concerns us, and you cover us, as with a shield. We ask for your guidance so that we might walk fully in your blessing and goodness today. We ask that your face would shine on us. That you would open the right doors for our lives and for our loved ones, that you would close the wrong doors and protect us from those we need to walk away from. Establish the work of our hands and bring to fulfillment all that you have given us to do in these days. We pray that you would make our way purposeful and our footsteps firm out of your goodness and love. Give us a heart of wisdom to hear your voice, and make us strong by your huge favor and grace. In Jesus' Name, Amen. https://www.crosswalk.com/devotionals/your-daily-prayer/a-prayer-of-blessing-over-those-you-love-your-daily-prayer-june-8-2017.html?utm_source=Your Daily Prayer&utm_campaign=Your Daily Prayer - Crosswalk.com&utm_medium=email&utm_content=2927122&bcid=5da31583941ac0436f866785e89f41c2&recip=547950175
  14. When Trouble Comes BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY: “He will cover you with his feathers; you will take refuge under his wings. His faithfulness will be a protective shield.” Psalms 91:4 When Trouble Comes By Katie Westenberg I have always loved the unique picture this verse calls to mind. I think of this powerful bird with its expansive wings tucked and fluffed into a cocoon of warmth and safety. For me. Protective and fierce, yet gentle and attentive; this is exactly the refuge I desire. But I rarely consider what might be beyond this ambient environment. The very nature of the word refuge suggests being sheltered from something and Psalm 91 does not neglect what that might be. From the trap. Fatal and epidemic disease. Terrors of the night. Arrows that fly by day. Destruction. Plagues that stalk and ravage, in the night and throughout the day. The word pictures here are equally as vivid as the feathered nest I was just wrapped in. It is easy for me to stop at verse four and look away from this part. But the hope we need is as much here as it is in the shelter. This is what He is protecting us from. This is what He is protecting usthrough. This is what He is protecting us in the midst of. Verse 15 tells us he will be with us in trouble. He will deliver us. Often when trouble comes we ask God why. Why do violent crimes happen to innocent people? Why do faithful people struggle with finances, marriages, children, hope. Tucked under His wing, we like to think the dangers, all that we fear, will cease around us. But His word never promises that. He promises us safety, Himself, in and amidst it all. This psalm opens with a firm and fervent declaration. “The one who lives under the protection of the Most High, dwells in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say concerning the Lord, who is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust…” (Psalm 91:1-2) In trouble or at peace, the psalmist is making a bold and stubborn declaration. When we make the Lord our dwelling place (v. 9) his shelter through horrifying trouble is our hope. He is our hope. May we not confuse the two. Trouble will come, but so will refuge for those have set their hearts on Christ. He will give His angels charge over thee and answer when we call. We were never promised a life without hardship, a life with out very real terrors and danger, but we are promised His presence with us, the security of His refuge around us. We need not fear when trouble comes, or despair the horrors around us when we set our hearts firmly on the hope of His shelter, His deliverance, though it all. https://www.crosswalk.com/devotionals/bible-study-minute/when-trouble-comes-bible-study-minute-january-15-2018.html?utm_source=Your Daily Bible Verse&utm_campaign=Bible Study Minute - BibleStudyTools.com&utm_medium=email&utm_content=2929924&bcid=5da31583941ac0436f866785e89f41c2&recip=547950175
  15. This is so exciting. A glimpse of Heaven, and being in the presence of Jesus for eternity. We are one breath away from Heaven, as a Christian friend once said to me. How true. We could be there tomorrow. And whilst we're down here, He encourages us, reassures us and reminds us of the great future we have coming, with Him. I often talk to Jesus when I'm out walking the dog. And I really feel His presence, just like He is walking beside me. In fact just the other day, without thinking I went to hold out my right hand to hold His hand whilst I was talking to Him, when I suddenly realized when I had tried to do, and I praised and thanked him. John 14:21 21 The person who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him [I will make Myself real to him].
  16. I can remember it very clearly. Doesn't seem like 18 years ago at all.
  17. John 14:23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.
  18. Isaiah 46:4 Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
  19. Lovely poem @turtletwo Thank you for sharing it here. Love, Becky. X
  20. Ah right. Yeah, you'd have to probably record it as a song first. I can read music, so you could always just post the lyrics, and write the chords down. I used to have an organ, but we've just moved and don't have it now. Becky. X
  21. I'm not sure, but I think you upload the file in the Christian music section, I think. X
  22. Pray to the Lord and seek His guidance what He wants you to do. He knows what's best for you and the best way of doing His work through you. I hope you don't leave, but it's what the Lord wants for your life that is the most crucial thing. God bless. Becky.
  23. Ooooh, you wrote a song about Psalms 91 !? Would you like to post it on Worthy? Hope you don't mind me asking. ? God bless. Becky. X
