As I said in my reply to your opening post, God loves everybody, but there is a difference in his love for the non Christian compared to the Christian.
-
Turn it around. How do you know that it is not the word of God? Please supply reasons and supporting evidence.
-
As always the conditions in verse 16-18 are ignored. I wrote about God's general love, you are writing about God's particular love for Christians. Yes God loves all people. Yes God has chosen those who are ' saved ' and not saved/condemned. In this God still loves.

If you know or can tell that they are losing then the biblical response to a Christian, is to quietly challenge them about their lie. If they do not repent or change there behaviour to take it to the church elders who again quietly challenge them and if there is no change then to publicly rebuke them and excommunicate them. For non Christians, point out the lie and have as little to do with them as is practical.

And what is going to happen when your brother or father crashes it or gets a ticket? If your mumis happy to pay for repairs, deal with parking tickets etc why should you. Either she accepts the car is for her and your use or you pull out and stop making payments. If your mum has included them on the insurance she, as the adult needs to lay down the rules as to who has priority in using the car. That it is always returned clean and with at least the same amount of petrol in it. In my opion your best option is to find somewhere to live and move out.

Why is God not so obvious (to me)?
Who me replied to john smith's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
You don't have to prove anything to God. He knows our nature, he knows what motivates us and that is not a blanket catch all. Summary of people, he really knows you. Despite that Jesus died and rose again in order to save you. He loves and values you for what you are. Stand tall in the knowledge that God loves and values you. The world might not but Jesus does. Study those two questions, they let others talk about what they believe and when you ask them for evidence are often shocked that there evidenceis often nothing more than feelings or ideas. Look at those sites you can learn that Christianity stands firm on historical facts, that there are reasonable explanations for Christianity. -
Luke 6:38 Love your enemies, do good to those who have you....... Then your reward will be great and you will be children of the most High who is kind to the ungratefull and wicked.

Then be as I said sneaky and get up before they do and move the car. Think about selling it and use public transport..

Too scared of mother to give her the Gospel
Who me replied to Thewhitedove's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
May I suggest you don't try to talk to her about Christianity, but wait for her to ask. In the meantime every birthday, Easter, harvest, all souls hollows and Christmas you send her a ' Christian ' card. But not one with feely feely sentiments, one with a clear Christian message supported by Bible verses. Given that most cards are full of sentimentally rubbish you will have to make your own cards. Start with Roman 3:23 For All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. Or similar include the Romans 5 passage about being saved by Jesus from God's wrath. As well as some suitable season's greetings. You will know she has read and understood the verses by her angry comments. Don't back down, ask her for the evidence for her opposition to Christianity. Make notes so you can include a response in the next card. As for praying for her. Keep it simple and pray for two things her health both physical and spiritual and that she will become a Christian. -

So what is your standard for what is true? How do you prove the existence of God? Or how do you show the evidence that supports and confirms your Christian faith? Basically you should be asking your parents and minister these questions. For your own research start with coldcasechristianity web site and Lee Strobels book the Case for Christ. Other basic sites are answersingenesis and tough questions answered. If logic is for you to to William lane Craig's site reasonable faith . Another site is wintery Knight. Two questions to remember. What do you believe? What evidence do you have for that belief? Ask your minister them. -
Just what do you mean by ' all loving?' God shows his love for all people in his provision of life and his continued giving of the seasons. He shows his love in giving of the law, of prophets etc and ultimately in the sending of his Son. He shows his love by delaying judgement. Whether you believe that it is God who decides who is saved or whether it is man's choice. God is loving in his choice and in his patience as he waits for men to choose him. Those who he did not predetermine or those who did not accept Jesus are justly dealt with.

God doesn't 'punish us ' by giving us arogant, disrespectful relatives. So forget that. The car you share with your mother. Who is insured to drive it? If your dad isn't insured he should not be using it. How do you get round him using it. Use it yourself before he can. Get up an hour before he does and drive it somewhere, park it lock it and walk, bus home. How does he relate to his Grandson? He sounds a real jerk if he is unwilling to help when his grandson is sick.

Context context and even actually read what the verse says because it does not say what you force it to say. It is talking to a church, telling them to love one another, that if you fall out then forgive and here is the catch as Jesus forgave you. How did Jesus forgive you? Are you living a sinful life or have you repented of your sinful life and seeking to follow Jesus? Repentance is central to all of us being forgiven, for the Colossians they too would have to say sorry, then they would have to be forgiven.

Lo her teaching is highly suspect, ranging from prosperity gospel to blatant false teaching. If listeningor watching to her you will need to check out what she is saying very carefully.

Gods Word... is it working for me?
Who me replied to Tyler Sotock's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
Try reading, James Ch 1 verses 22-25 As verse 22 says, do not merely listen to the word of God, but do it. Listening if one does not obey it is pointless., As verse 23 says just listening you are receiving your self. Talk to the minister of the church where you attend every Sunday. If not doing so start . -
If one doesn't know what is wrong, then one cannot seek a solution. So rules are vital, the quote shows a lack of intelligence in not understanding that things that are wrong can be corrected.

Christianity teaches that God created time, space, energy and matter. God also organised it and his character is revealed in creation. The problem for atheistic science is they accept the Christian idea that creation is consistent, ordered and not random and chaotic. They have no philosophical explanation or scientific explanation for why creation is consistent, ordered and not random/chaotic.

It depends how you intend to do this? Just saying in the middle of a conversation, ' you know that when you die you will go to hell!' Is not a good method of evangelism. Even if they ask, ' Do you believe I am going to hell?' does not merit a yes/no answer. Our role is to point/introduce non Christians to Jesus, not to predict their future. If they understand the gospel and have clearly rejected Jesus then depending on your knowledge of them you might warn them of God's rightous judgement. I would be very reluctant to just tell someone you are going to hell.

Jesus came that we might have life and that we might live. Life is often difficult either because we keep stumbling or because of outside circumstances, but in every situation we can know peace and enjoy worshipping our Lord and Saviour.

Please provide your evidence for this statement. You accept that God created All things, that implies that God exists outside of his creation of space, time, energy and materials. It also implies that as God is not subject to the rules that are in this creation that he is in effect eturnal.

Can a demon confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh?
Who me replied to JaneLee's topic in General Discussion
The devil is the father of lies, and his followers are equally skilled at losing. That is why Paul says test every spirit. -
Doesn't say they are not.

Accounting for Morality in Non-Christians
Who me replied to Uber Genius's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
You are very confused in your thinking. Why do you presume that all morality is based on God? Your question should be. How do atheists justify living a moral lifestyle when there belief does not allow for morality. Please supply evidence for what atheists base there morality that hey live by, on? -
Has anyone ever heard anyone say...
Who me replied to Unit 11's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
No no one has ever said that, partly because the church I attend is not a charismatic church where there are prophetic messages etc. Should anyone want to deliver such a message. I would want to know how accountable they were, to who and what their track record was like. God does not make mistakes, but people do. The test of a false prophet is do they ever get it wrong and any such message as suggested in this post is prophetic, so if they had been wrong in the past I would know that his message was a lie. -
Seems to me science makes far more claims based on ' authority' then ever Christianity has made. If science is as dependable and as ' scientific ' as you are claiming why haven't scientists been prepared to argue there case. There have been atheist conventions where they have been challenged by Christians to debate science. The Christians have challenged atheism to present there experts and the Christians would have an ' expert' qualified in that field to debate them. Terms shared video copies available to each side, costs to be shared, a mutually acceptable chairman etc. Guess who were so unsure of there arguements that they would not meet the Christians. Even Ken Ham, wh is not a scientist they would not meet. Here is a final thought. An atheism explain why science and reason works? They are dependant on a Christian world view for there understanding of why it works.
