  1. The question is irrelevant, as we know from the Bible how Jesus treated demons. As I have said before you need to talk to your pastor about your obsession with demons, it is not healthy.
  2. We are all chosen by God from before the foundation of the world. You are hearing voices or having thoughts that tell you to do things and you despite getting answers to prayers cannot stop these voices/thoughts. You need to talk to your minister or to your doctor for there advice. Your posts are only about demon possession, you rarely respond to posters, and by your title do not like the posts you get in replying to you. Basically this is not the place where you get help, your minister is the one who knows you and can help you, so please talk to hi.
  3. So apart from the contradiction in your post quoted above. You consider all other people's understanding of scripture to be faulty. Why else do you distrust translations of the Bible. Basic fact God is not concerned about the version of the Bible you use. He wants us to seek him and he will be found by those who do this. I have listened to talks by witcliffe translators. They do not work on there own, they learn a language, analysis that language and work with local people to ensure what they have translated makes sense. This involves reading or playing recordings of what is being worked on to groups of locals and talking to them about what it means. Once a book is finished it is sent to be checked by another linguistics expert and any queries or changes are discussed by the checker, translator and eventually the locals. They know they are dealing with the word of God and treat it with the greatest respect. This is true of all translators. They have to work a very fine line between literal accuracy, and readability. For sample in the translation by Tyndale one word charity was translated into more than just love, without spoiling the meaning of the Bible.
  4. Please read John Ch 1: He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. Which shows your post is not correct. Yes God didn't make your computer etc but he through Jesus created the elements it was constructed from, as well as the intelligence in the men who gathered all the material, knowledge, technology etc to make your computer.
  5. Clearly a fake based on what has been written here. Would a follower of the father of lies tell the truth about his situation and surely someone who knew Jesus, if they wrote this, would stress the ease of gaining salvation and avoiding hell. Heaven and hell are real and going to either is very easy, have faith in Jesus or don't have faith in him.
  6. Yes, but what does it mean to wear the helmet of salvation etc etc etc
  7. The whole of Luke 18 is about having faith, trust if you prefer in Jesus. Most queries can be clarified by reading the context. Chapter and verse divisions are not inspired, so read several chapters either side of a ' problem ' passage.
  8. Because he wants us to willingly love and serve him. He doesn't want robots.
  9. Somehow you know when a nonchristian has been taken over by a ' demon ', but you don't know what you should do! The answer is very simple go and tell someone who does know how to deal with demon possessed persons. As I have said before you need to talk to your minister. The person incharge of the church you attend every week. If you are not attending a church, not only are you disobeying God but depriving yourself of teaching, support, encouragement and discipline.
  10. As other classes are are celebrating religion and it is part of the curriculum may I suggest asking her' that as she is averse to religion to leave the classroom while you do that lesson.' Get in early on the day for that lesson and put up the relevent pictures etcIf she tears them down ask why and be prepared to take it to the school year.
  11. You are worrying about what might be, yet you laugh at being told what is reality now. Who is the fool?
  12. Yes we need to show real love and character so that as in acts 17:6 we are again those people who are turning the world upside down. The shame is that Christians do not stand out as being different.
  13. Why would any government want to investigate or intiate a system that needs to be reintroduced into its subjects regularly? Your collective paranoia is out of touch with reality. Mobile phone, credit cards enable anyone interested to tract people and monitor there activities, the internet allows monitoring of views, close circuit camera with face recognition software allows yet another form of grafting people. Get real people, this is all available and in use NOW.
  14. What are you talking about? There is no secret Christian organisation nor are there any elite Christian families. May I suggest that you talk with your minister about this, as it sounds like you are being groomed by an occult group.
  15. If it was literal, well Jesus referee to Noah and the Flood as literal so maybe Jesus lied, was economical with the truth. Or maybe as he is the truth the global flood was a real event, in which case my Everest being a product of the flood it is not a problem. Try answersingenesis, or creation ministries, yes yec sites. Don't panic reading them will not make you a yec'er. Consider this, they stand on the total accuracy and authority of scripture, so are useful to investigate what scripture does actually say rather than what people's preconceived ideas think it says.
  16. And what are you going to do when, if you are invited over to relations over Christmas and they want to watch TV? As a suggestion try taking a selection of games with you. Pictionary, charades, 20 questions and general knowledge quizzes if you have them prepared are all good for family fun.
  17. I really think you should talk to your minister about this obsession you have with demon possession. Unless you have solid evidence for this, you need one to one spiritual councelling.
  18. "if there was a person possessed by a demon but in need should i give to them" Is this about a real situation or are you trying to anticipate trouble? How do you know that a person is possessed by a demon? How do you know they are in material need? No where does Jesus say don't seek to help those in spiritual' or material need. He does say don't waste your time with those who are mocking the truth.
  19. An alternative idea rather than writing about everybody is possessed, would be to write about the approaching horror. Of the vastly infection that is causing people's lives to be turned upside down. The hero/heroines are living normal care free lives, but they are aware of the infection, that there are other people normal looking people going about selling to infect other people. The story develops as they try to avoid being infected, the lengths they go to to avoid it or to be decontaminated. Then one of them is infected and they watch in horror s this person's life changes and we become aware of the attempts to cure the infected person. The infection= Christianity. Hero/heroines are non Christians trying to remain so.
  20. How would be know that those around him were possessed by demons? Don't forget there are only two states in this world. Saved and unsaved. What difference is there between unsaved and possessed? Surely the man would live as a Christian does now, doing his normal work commuting, interacting with people and living with his family. The question I would ask is just how much opposition would there be to his obvious difference and to his Christian practices, like reading the Bible, prayer and witnessing? How would the unreasonableness of a nonchristian lifestyle be shown?
  21. Yes modern ' entertainment ' needs careful selection and will still disappoint. How one handles such scenes depends on us and the situation. Watching a film with family and quietly leaving durring questionable scenes has more influence than one thinks, especially if the reasons for such actions are known. They can also lead to useful discussions.
  22. We are to be in the world, but not of the world. We have to work to earn a living and to have something to give as an offering and to give to those in need. We have to be educated, work, shop, sell see doctors, lawyers, buy and talk to people who often are not Christian. We by our lifestyle, our way of talking, our attitudes to life and events etc are to challenges those who are not Christian. What do I mean. At work we are to be the employee who is always on time, never slacks off, doesn't cheaton their expenses, who is know for their integrity. One of the hard areas is not laughing at the very funny dirty jokes or joining in the backstabbing gossip.
  23. Gen 2, 19, Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals. as you can see from these verses man was created to have fellowship with God and with his wife and by implication with other people. mankind is unique in that we communicate complex ideas between ourselves and with God. It is the separation between mankind and God that causes so many of the world's problems and it is Gods intervention with Jesus that gives us grounds for hope. what is man that you have made him a little lower than the angels!
  24. What you have missed is that prior to he flood the people were already not worshipping God and from Hams behaviour it is clear that not all Noah's sons followed his beliefs. The devil spoke to Eve, so what was stopping him from talking to any of Noah's grandchildren? Here is an interesting question for you. The confrontation on my Carmel with the prophets of bael. Why did they accept the challenge and why did they expect a reply? Was it because they had had demonic activity before?
  25. I am sorry you have had depression for so long. Are you currently being affected by depression? Do you have a therapy group to attend or medication you can or are taking and is it possible to discuss your current state with your therapist to get it adjusted? Are there things you can do that ' help ' you when depression strikes? Some people say walks or physical activity helps, others that beauty stimulates and encourages them and others say having a rant at God makes them feel better. ( God already knows when one is thinking four Peter words about a one's situation ) If that is how one is feeling then be honest and tell him.
