  1. Psalm 50 Offer thanksgiving as your sacrifice to God, pay your vows to the Most High, and call on me when you are in trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me. “Whoever offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice honors me and to him who goes the right way I will show the salvation of God.” Psalm 51 For you don’t want sacrifices, or I would give them; you don’t take pleasure in burnt offerings. My sacrifice to God is a broken spirit; God, you won’t spurn a broken, chastened heart. In your good pleasure, make Tziyon prosper; rebuild the walls of Yerushalayim. Then you will delight in righteous sacrifices, in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings; then they will offer bulls on your altar.
  2. The Mighty One, God, Adonai, is speaking--summoning the world from east to west. Out of Tziyon, the perfection of beauty, God is shining forth. Our God is coming and not staying silent. With a fire devouring ahead of him and a great storm raging around him, he calls to the heavens above and to earth, in order to judge his people. “Gather to me my faithful, those who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.” The heavens proclaim His Righteousness, for God himself is judge. (Selah)
  3. @JTC ( ?) My son, do not forget my teaching, But let your mind retain my commandments; For they will bestow on you length of days, Years of life and well-being. Let fidelity and steadfastness not leave you; Bind them about your throat, Write them on the tablet of your mind, And you will find favor and approbation In the eyes of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths smooth. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and shun evil. It will be a cure for your body, A tonic for your bones. Prov 3:1-8 ~~~ The LORD will guide you always; He will slake your thirst in parched places And give strength to your bones. You shall be like a watered garden, Like a spring whose waters do not fail. Isaiah 58:11
  4. Amen. Thus said the Lord: Cursed is he that trusts in man, who makes mere flesh his strength, and turns his thoughts from the LORD. Blessed is he who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD alone. Jere 17:5,7
  5. No one has called you names or judged you. If someone knew the fear of the Lord, and tried to persuade men, and had experiential knowledge of and revelation from God, I would hope we would be persuaded. Or at least consider the scriptures presented. I have prayed that both of our eyes would be open to see what God has said concerning the fear of the Lord. I didn't say 'vainly believing the truth of scriptures'...you left out 'automatically applied'. And I didn't say that my heart feared greatly because I feared that all things in scripture weren't for me. When I read the meat of the Word in this brother's post, God in His mercy showed me where I really was, and it wasn't where I thought I was, and I shook; the delusions, hypocrisy and religious scaffolding came down. To the glory of God. Heaven is my throne says Adonai, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house could you build for me? What sort of place could you devise for my rest? Didn't I myself make all these things? This is how they all came to be. says Adonai, The kind of person on whom I look with favor, is one with a poor and humble spirit, who trembles at my word. Isa 66:1-2
  6. You reckon? I don't know. But this I know...that you fear and dread all that might displease Him. Might this be the root of your joy? Blessed is the man who fears the Lord. His heart is established. He shall not be afraid. (The fear of the Lord takes all other fear away). And unto man he said, Behold the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom... Edit: Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name.
  7. Yes, such a blessing to taste and see... I’m not a teacher, nor have I the revelation of a couple men of God that I am fortunate to be associated. So, I will sit down after I try to answer your edit/addition of ‘perfect love casts out all fear’ as honestly as I can. Has God ever put someone in your path that shook you to the core of your being just through one of his posts? I mean did God show you and judge the make-believe life that you were ‘living’ and all the scaffolding that you had built around you came crumbling down because you vainly imagined(believed certain truths in the Bible automatically applied to you and you ‘claimed’ them just because ‘it was written’ and you fiercely desired them? Enter my first experience of the fear of God. I could pull up the ‘fear’ scripts that are written, but suffice it to say that God has put in my heart to love(trust Him with ALL, but it is NOT without the fear of Him—Who IS love. Who IS Perfect. Who has shown us the narrow path (that no fowl knoweth) to enter INTO Perfect Love. INTO CHRIST. According to the gift of the Spirit of Holiness. Not because of my self-righteousness or ‘it is written’ and I believe it. THIS is the work of God—that I believe that THIS is the work of God. Not me. My favorite story is the preparation of Esther by Hegai before she appeared before the King, and the scepter of Righteousness was lowered in her favor...she both loved and feared The King. Grace is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord shall be praised.
  8. Thank you for your posts. The word EXCEEDINGLY great and precious always stands out to me. I love it because it describes and gives glory/attention to Him in one way or another in many verses. From the love of God to the fear of God. Everything about Him is not only great, but exceedingly great! And humble. As Not me says...'something to chew on'...or something like that
  9. Because you favor Zion, do what is good for her! Fortify the walls of Jerusalem! Ps 51:18 NET He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily. Nahum 2:1 KJV אמץ 'amats strengthen , courage , strong , courageous , harden , speed , stronger , confirm , established , fortify , increaseth , steadfastly minded , obstinate , prevailed
  10. You have visited me at night, probed my mind. You have tested me and found nothing amiss; I have determined that my mouth shall not transgress. Psalm 17:3 ~~~~ I the Lord probe the heart, Search the mind-- To repay every man according to his ways, With the proper fruit of his deeds. Jeremiah 17:10
  11. Would you explain the underlined? Specifically 'YOU'? Thanks.
  12. And to come to the place where God and God alone is all we long for...We are His...not ours. [We are not our own]. Amen?
  13. Hi. On Saturday morning I attended my first Sabboth Torah Study in my vicinity in lieu of reading various online groups. Experiencing it in person was a blessing! Especially the shema/amidah prayers read in Hebrew and English. We read Korach (3 Tammuz 5779) or 6 Jul.2019 ~ a little bit from Num. 15 & Num. 16:1-18:32 & 1 Sam. 11:14-12:22 Have a lot to learn, but sensed in a very real way that He gave me the desire to be there. And to continue as He leads.
  14. And this is the condemnation that the light has come into the world and men loved darkness rather than light... https://youtu.be/dk_X6Y9Zodg
  15. Just so you know, your name is just first in the 'all' that I pray and thank God for...Episkopos, Pinacled, turtletwo et al … but the tears overflow its banks at times in gratitude and love for the Mighty Work He did in my heart through you in that season and chapter! Thank you for your prayers. As always. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power to prevail. James 5:16 Berean Study Bible
  16. I truly thank God before His Throne upon every remembrance of you; for your discipling me, teaching and showing me the Love of God. As no brother ever did. In Word or deed. Blessings always.
  17. I'm suddenly interested in reading The Passion Translation Bible, introduced to me through a very mature brother-in-Christ, who teaches from it, and is fluent in Hebrew and Greek himself. "The Passion Translation Bible is a new, heart-level translation that expresses God’s fiery heart of love to this generation using Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic manuscripts—merging the emotion and life-changing truth of God’s Word." "All you thirsty ones, come to me! Come to me and drink! Believe in me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being just like the Scripture says!" John 7:37–38 "Every morning I lay out the pieces of my life on the altar and wait for your fire to fall upon my heart." Psalm 5:3 "I continue to pray for your love to grow and increase more and more until it overflows, bringing you into the rich revelation of spiritual insight in all things. And with this revelation you will come to know God fully as he imparts to you the deepest understanding of his ways." Philippians 1:9
  18. After reading this post, I felt to share it in its entirety at our little home-gathering Sunday. I emphasized the first sentence because it summarized the whole, to me: The standard of the Lord: to be holy as God is holy and to love as He loves...is based on a new kind of life which is by grace that is only found as we enter into Christ. The post blessed everyone and especially one brother who brought up Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them." The law becomes a curse when we try to love.
  19. Don’t you just love it when a poster speaks into your heart what the Lord was just speaking, during your pondering before Him minutes before? (In the shorter version, but the nuts and bolts the same). Trust is synonymous with entering into His Rest on this mile-marker in my journey. When we have given our all, to the best of our knowledge and ability, for His all. It begs the question, are we ready for His Baptism? Just saying...let us go on to perfection...for therein is God, there to be found.
  20. Then Elijah said to the people, “I am the only prophet of the LORD left, while the prophets of Baal are four hundred and fifty men. 1 Kings 18:22
  21. Since adding my 2cents in agreement w/the point blank accuracy and insight of this post concerning ‘shame’ being the #1 problem...I’ve since been beautifully chastised for my ‘shame’ that stems from the old man (pride). Believing ingrained lies of not being wanted/forsaken, etc. etc. etc. instead of choosing to BELIEVE what HE says! HE said that HE will never leave us or forsake us. And SO much much more. Beautiful Savior.
  22. After that, Moabites, Ammonites, together with some Ammonim, came against Jehoshaphat to wage war. The report was brought to Jehoshaphat: “A great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea, from Aram, and is now in Hazazon-tamar”—that is, Ein-gedi. Jehoshaphat was afraid; he decided to resort to the LORD and proclaimed a fast for all Judah. Judah assembled to beseech the LORD. They also came from all the towns of Judah to seek the LORD. Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem in the House of the LORD at the front of the new court. He said, “LORD God of our fathers, truly You are the God in heaven and You rule over the kingdoms of the nations; power and strength are Yours; none can oppose You. O our God, you dispossessed the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel, and You gave it to the descendants of Your friend Abraham forever. They settled in it and in it built for You a House for Your name. They said, ‘Should misfortune befall us—the punishing sword, pestilence, or famine, we shall stand before this House and before You—for Your name is in this House—and we shall cry out to You in our distress, and You will listen and deliver us.’ Now the people of Ammon, Moab, and the hill country of Seir, into whose [land] You did not let Israel come when they came from Egypt, but they turned aside from them and did not wipe them out, these now repay us by coming to expel us from Your possession which You gave us as ours. O our God, surely You will punish them, for we are powerless before this great multitude that has come against us, and do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.” All Judah stood before the LORD with their little ones, their womenfolk, and their children. Then in the midst of the congregation the spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel son of Zechariah son of Benaiah son of Jeiel son of Mattaniah the Levite, of the sons of Asaph, and he said, “Give heed, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat; thus said the LORD to you, ‘Do not fear or be dismayed by this great multitude, for the battle is God’s, not yours. March down against them tomorrow as they come up by the Ascent of Ziz; you will find them at the end of the wadi in the direction of the wilderness of Jeruel. It is not for you to fight this battle; stand by, wait, and witness your deliverance by the LORD, O Judah and Jerusalem; do not fear or be dismayed; go forth to meet them tomorrow and the LORD will be with you.’” Jehoshaphat bowed low with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem threw themselves down before the LORD to worship the LORD. Levites of the sons of Kohath and of the sons of Korah got up to extol the LORD God of Israel at the top of their voices. Early the next morning they arose and went forth to the wilderness of Tekoa. As they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, O Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: Trust firmly in the LORD your God and you will stand firm; trust firmly in His prophets and you will succeed.” 2 Cor 20:1-20
