I would like to ask, who today is the remnant in Israel? Wouldn't you say, that those who believe in Jesus, those who believe their messiah has come are the remnant? Twice you mentioned the 144,000, even if you take the 144,000 as literal, 12,000 men from the 12 tribes, we are told they follow the lamb where ever he goes, these men are Christians. Again, if you were to take them as literal, you would have 144,000 men who believe Jesus is their messiah. The remnant today are believers, They are no Jewish Christians. I am not an American Christian or an English Christian. I am a Christian who is from America. The remnant today are Christians, believers in the messiah. Christians from Israel, not Jewish believers. Christian's who were Jews or Christians from Israel. I don't see any difference between the remnant and the "Church"

There is one scripture that answers that question for me, it is Revelation 18:24 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth. How can a city be responsible for the deaths of the prophets and saints and all who were slain on the earth? Babylon the great is not a place, its disobedience to our God, it is rejection of God and his word, it is our sinful nature, in this way revelation man is correct it is the whole world, because the earth will be judged of its sins. It is why we see in Revelation 18:4 God says, come out of her my people, so you do not share in her sins We are not being called out of a place. We are not being called to come out of the world, but we are being called to come out of our sinful ways. We are no longer of this world, because we belong to him. God is warning us to come out of her " Babylon" before judgement comes

Well, that was brief. Thank you for your thoughts

I appreciate that statement and your humility, though I do think it matters. You are right, it makes good conversation Matthew 24 is a great chapter and and one of my favorites. Have you ever compared it to Luke 21? Matthew and Luke are talking about the same event, when Jesus tells them not one stone will be left upon another and the disciples ask when will this be? you are using Matthew 24:21 as a end time passage Matthew 24:21 (KJV) For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. First, if its an end time passage, isn't it a little strange that he said nor ever shall be. If we are to read this as the very last days, why did he say, nor ever shall be? Doesn't make much sense if there is no time left, but it would make sence if it was talking about the destruction of Jerusalem/Israel In Luke we read 20 “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. 22 For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. 23 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. 24 They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. Here in Luke we can see more clearly that this wrath/tribulation is not an end time prophecy, but about the destruction of Jerusalem/Israel

Wouldn't theses saints be martyrs through out the Church age? REV 1:9 I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. As John writes Revelation he is calling us partners with him in the tribulation, to me it would then make sense, that they ask the question, how long shall we wait.

Who are His Chosen People? Israel or the Church?
Jaydub replied to PATrobas's topic in General Discussion
Yes, I believe this was Gods plan and is in his character. In 1 John 4:7 we see that God is love. In John 15:13 its says greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. I believe it was Gods plan from the beginning, to demonstrate how great his love is for us, that he would take on flesh and become a servant, to suffer and die for us. How would we know this great love for us if, Adam did not fall? I believe this was his plan from the beginning and is inline with character, to demonstrate his great love for us -
Are We Mistaken In The Teaching Of The Pre-trib Rapture????
Jaydub replied to Progressive Truth's topic in Eschatology
Are you than saying, its not possible for God to save us from his wrath while on earth? He saved Noah and his family from his wrath, when he destroyed the earth, He saved Lot and his family, when Sodom and Gamora were destroyed. He saved the Israelites from the plagues that fell on Egypt and he saved the Israelites when they were crossing the red sea, while destroying the Egyptian army. God is able to keep his people from his wrath. I would like to ask another question, do you think the verses you quoted could be about Gods judgment, not about physical wrath, but about eternal wrath You asked, what wrath? This is talking about eternal punishment, its Judgment. Gods wrath or salvation. We are to obtain salvation through Jesus Christ, so we don't experience Gods wrath This statement is true, it is like no other wrath it is eternal wrath Again this verse is speaking of Gods judgment, they are saying for mountains to fall on them, because physical death is better than, God wrath and his judgment, they would rather face physical death than eternal death, Gods wrath -
Let me try again, I do not believe this statement is true, that Satan has all authority of the kingdoms of this world. If, I go into the kingdom of this world and I witness and I bring people into the body of Christ, Satan is powerless to keep them in his kingdom. I have used my authority in Christ Jesus to make changes to his kingdom. when we cast out demons, we exhibit our authority over Satan. 1 timothy 2;1- 2 Paul tells Timothy to pray for all people, for kings and all those in authority. If Satan has all authority, why are we told to pray for our leaders? Because God our Father has given all leaders their authority. Remember in Daniel 4, Daniel tells king Nebuchadnezzar That 25 that you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. You shall be made to eat grass like an ox, and you shall be wet with the dew of heaven, and seven periods of time shall pass over you, till you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will. God puts men in authority and Paul tells us in Timothy to pray for our kings and men with authority, that we may live peaceful lives in all godliness Romans 13:1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Its Gods authority to put our leaders in place not Satan. While we are on this earth we have authority over Satan, through Jesus Christ, so when you say Satan has ALL authority' it doesn't sit well in my spirit

I agree with most of what you write, but not that" the dragon has all authority of the kingdoms of this world". no I disagree. That may have been true, but that changed at the cross. Adam sinned and gave up his authority, Jesus the second Adam, lived a sinless life, taking back that authority. When the 70 returned they said, Lord even the demons submit to us and Jesus said, I saw Satan fall like lighting. Satan authority has been taken away. Christ took it away and gave it back to us. We have authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all power of the enemy. So how can he have all authority, if we are here standing in his way? The reason the kingdom of darkness is advancing is because the Church is asleep, and week. The Church has forgotten its strength and power, The church today is not sure if it believes in miracles, not sure if there are healings today, not sure if there are prophets and apostles. not sure if the gifts of the Spirit are for today. Satan and the kingdom of darkness advance because the Church today has laid down its authority, but if we put on the full armor of God and wield that sword of the spirit we will be victorious, but we have to fight, pray, pray pray. We can take back our towns our schools our governments our countries Satan can only take what we let him take, that's not authority, but it is a sad reflection of the church today

I can do whatever and there is No Condemnation in Christ!
Jaydub replied to Vine Abider's topic in General Discussion
If we are truly in Christ we can't go on sinning or if we go on sinning we are not in Christ Here again, if we go on sinning we never knew him, not born again, its not about loosing salvation its were you ever saved Whoever is born of God does not continue in their sin, so its not about loosing ones salvation, but who is really saved, People can call themselves believers in Christ, but they can't continue to walk in sin and be born again -

I think it boils down to there are two types of Christians those saved and those who think they are saved. If someone continues to walk in sin then there is a very good chance they are not saved, they were never really born again -
Matthew 5:17, said, Do not think I have come to abolish the law or the prophets, I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. Jesus fulfilled the law not abolished it. He did not abolish circumcision, he fulfilled it. Circumcision is an eternal command, yet we no longer need to circumcise our bodies, because in Christ we meet this commandment. We are now spiritually circumcised. Celebrating Passover is an eternal commandment, yet we no longer need to remember Passover, because Christ is our Passover and has fulfilled the command, so that we no longer need to follow the letter of the law, but believe on him and we meet the requirements of these laws. He is our Passover lamb In the same way Christ fulfilled the Sabbath, by becoming our Sabbath . The weekly Sabbath points to our eternal Sabbath that is in Christ our Lord. In the days of creation, there was evening and morning to divide the days. There was evening and morning the fifth day and evening and morning the sixth day, but on the Sabbath there was neither evening or morning, it was an eternal day a day created for man, but when man sinned, he no longer was able to enter into that rest. Because of Adams sin the Lord said, by the sweat of your brow you will eat your food, it is because of sin he needed to work hard for his food and his needs and needed a physical rest day, but in Christ we are freed from sin and able to enter into our eternal rest, now like Passover and circumcision the weekly Sabbath has been fulfilled in Christ. The weekly Sabbath pointed to Christ our true rest. by following Christ, I am in obedience of following the law

Can you be specific for me please, because I missed it, I don't see the problem with the post. I would like to understand what you found to be so wrong

I believe it is the second coming of Christ.

I am in agreement with your post, but I believe there could be more than one abomination that causes desolation In Ezekiel 9,10 we see the presents of God leaving the temple because of Idolatry, right inside the temple they have placed Idols. It was not Antiochus and him sacrificing a pig on the altar that was the abomination that caused the desolation of the first temple, but it was the Jews putting false Gods in the temple, that caused their God to leave. The Jews committed the abomination that causes their desolation. It was their actions and their sins that brought judgment on themselves. As you point out in your post it, it happened in the time of Jesus, when the Jews reject their God again and put Jesus to death on the cross. We again see the spirit of God leave the temple, when the curtain was torn in two from top to bottom, so desolation comes not because of Rome, but because of the Jews sin and rejection of Their God. They in the time of Babylon and in the time of Rome, caused their desolation I believe it will happen again, if the Jews build a temple and start up the sacrificial system again, if I had to pick a reason for Armageddon, I would guess the Jews start up the sacrificial system again, for the forgiveness of their sins, totally rejecting the works of the Holy Spirit at the cross. The last Abomination of desolation. People need to realize its not the gentiles that cause the abomination of desolation. It is the acts of the Jewish people that will bring judgment on themselves

When was Satan cast out of heaven down to the earth?
Jaydub replied to Stewardofthemystery's topic in Prophecy
Job 1 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. 7And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.” Satan the accuser was able to accuse us before the Lord of all our wrong doings, but since the cross he can no loner accuse us, Price has been paid in full. Our sins have been blotted out, there is nothing left for him to bring before the Lord, we are cleansed, we are a new creation. It was finished at the cross -
Why not Friday morning? Doesn't Sabbath start on Friday sunset?

If Jesus was crucified on Wednesday, I am in agreement on the day, but my question is why did the women wait until Sunday to anoint the body?

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 1 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 1 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known Has knowledge passed away? when will these things pass away? When completion comes. When does completion come? when we see him face to face. according to this scripture tongues and prophesy will be here until Christ returns

To answer your request I will use Peter, As you point out Peter is quoting Joel, but why is Peter quoting Joel? Because the Holy Spirit has filled the believers and they were speaking in tongues and everyone heard them in their own language, but some men were making fun of them, saying they were drunk. To address this, Peter says these men are not drunk, this is what the prophet Joel spoke. " in the last days I will pour out my spirit" Peter is using this scripture as proof that these men are not drunk, but filled with the Holy Spirit. Peter has concluded that he was in the last days because The Spirit of God has been poured out on all people, if Peter believed he was in the last days, then we surly are now in the last days Acts 2 :17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
-
To you and others who think prophesy has ceased what do you say about acts 2:17 “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.

The whole chapter is full of symbolisms, we have in the first paragraph of chapter 13 a beast with seven heads and ten horns with 10 crowns on the horns, but instead of going through all the symbolism in this chapter, lets just look at the mark. Verse 17 tells us. no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of the beast. Is the beast literal or symbolic? Are people going to have his name tattooed to their right hand or their forehead? or the number 666? So, you see the mark is symbolic, unless you think people are going to walk around with the number 666 on their forehead. look at Revelation 22, verse 4 They will see his face and his name will be on their foreheads. This is talking about God almighty, we will have his name, Look at the contrast, Gods people have his name written on their forehead and the beast has the rest. You belong to Gods kingdom or the enemies There is only one unpardonable sin, yet we see the mark of the beast is unpardonable, unless its the same sin, rejection of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. You either belong to God and have his mark or you belong to the enemy and have the mark of the beast

Daniel 2:34 - Stone striking the feet of the image.
Jaydub replied to Charlie744's topic in Prophecy
I believe it is an end time event, notice that the statue still stands after Babylon falls, the gold head is still left on and after the Medes fall to the Greece the silver shoulders are still in place and when Greece falls the bronze waist still remains and the last Roman empire the legs of Iron are still there. even though all these empires no longer have there power the statue still stands. Its not until Christ returns does this statue fall. Why? what does this statue symbolize? In my opinion this statue represents Babylon, spiritual Babylon When the statue is struck at the feet I believe it symbolizes the destruction of kingdoms that rule over the nations, when the feet are crushed the statue falls, it can't stand with crushed feet. Then Babylon is destroyed when the statue is broken to pieces. It is interesting to note in revelation 18 verse 21 a mighty angel picks up a large bolder the size of a large mill stone and throws it into the sea and it is said in with such violence the great city Babylon will be thrown down. Egypt, Sodom Rome are all types of Babylon. I don't believe the verses are pointing to pagan Rome, but to Babylon
