  2. From the OP <--------------------------------quote--------------------------------------> "Dick" has acted so badly, that "Hannah" is afraid of him now, she won't go anywhere with him. I suspect that "Dick" is blind to why she's acting like this and is convinced that "Jane" is manipulating the little girl. The service ended, and I saw "Harry" (a police officer in a nearby county who's wife plays piano for us) talking to Dick. Dick kept 'fingering" to Hannah to come to him, but she was afraid. I left church right away, as I was getting mad, and I saw several men "keeping an eye on things" - so I was confident that the situation was under control. <---------------------------------------------------------------------> This just shows that the OP did state that the child is afraid of the father. For those who are saying that he has legal rights I guess it just proves the point for the ACLU that your right to kill me is greater than my right not to be killed right up until you actually kill me then they will sure slap your wrist for that one. All of the pieces of this jigsaw puzzle fit the SOP of men who kill ex-wives expecially law enforcement officers. I have been listening to these stories for more years than I care to remember. do we ever learn form history?
  3. Right on BFP. There is no doubt that Goth is about death and darkness wiht an emphasis on perversion . I cannot imagine how telling people by your very being that you embrace death and darkness will lead them to choose light. Everyone makes up his/her own mind on this but the fact remains that if I see you standing on a street corner in this garb, I will mentally assign you to the forces of darkness just as seeing you in a swastika armband tells me that you are embracing evil. You never see a Ford with a Chevy label.
  4. No not really you see God will use anybody to help people here on earth and I am not trying to get points with anyone! Or an atta boy! The fact remains Jesus came to help the needy, the broken hearted, in others words the poor! Sorry to say we live in a material world no matter what you do you have to have money to survive! Or a car, a house, clothes, food, etc. If you do not think these things a necessity try living without them for a while! If the churches will not supply them God will find a way even if he uses the ungodly! I am not to Judge anybody not even you or Oprah. God is the Judge and he is in control just ask him! I didn't know money and a full belly would send people to hell. I thought people went to hell because they did not confess Jesus Lord and believe in there heart God raised him from the dead. You see its all backwards! The church is supposed to do like Oprah! Why does it not feed the hungry, give houses to the homeless, care for the elderly and so on! I can tell you why! Because the spirit of the living God is not in it! Please God wake us up again so we can do these things for your people and spread your word outside the church to save the lost! I am all in favour of people receiving blessings. My concern with this situation is that Oprah will not permit the name of Jesus to come into this. What good is a car or a house beyond the grave? If you deny people access to Jesus by your editing process I am free to discern that you are doing the work of Satan. This reminds me of the prosperity doctrine types. Why would Christians just assume that it is God who supplies her with wealth, power and influence. She does more for the cause of Satan than Phelps does. She is a New Ager and proud of it. Once again, there are only 2 religions in the world; the true and the false. Oprah has made her choice and she has made it clear she does not choose Jesus. She may come to repentance at some point in time - that should be our prayer for her at all times.
  5. So are you for it or agin it?
  6. I am amazed at how many Chrsitians want people to go to Hell with a full belly or a big car. That'll make it nice and comfy down there. for the Record... Oprah is not going to worship any jealous Gods. Guess He's sorry He wrote that now eh?

    Child's Salvation

You covered that well Akabu Scripture that shows what David believed would happen 2 sam 12: 18 On the seventh day the child died. David's servants were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they thought, "While the child was still living, we spoke to David but he would not listen to us. How can we tell him the child is dead? He may do something desperate." 19 David noticed that his servants were whispering among themselves and he realized the child was dead. "Is the child dead?" he asked. "Yes," they replied, "he is dead." 20 Then David got up from the ground. After he had washed, put on lotions and changed his clothes, he went into the house of the LORD and worshiped. Then he went to his own house, and at his request they served him food, and he ate. 21 His servants asked him, "Why are you acting this way? While the child was alive, you fasted and wept, but now that the child is dead, you get up and eat!" 22 He answered, "While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept. I thought, 'Who knows? The LORD may be gracious to me and let the child live.' 23 But now that he is dead, why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me."
  8. Does this mean that people actually believe that Oswald was the shooter? How quaint!
  9. Is it available on the net as a freebie by any chance? I'd like to at least hear it.
  10. I will probably go to my grave thinking of myself as a PCC Presbyterian (once you learn to spell it they keep you forever ) I too left the PCC over the doctrine ->ordination of women and infant (non-believer) baptism. I believe that my background has really given me a good basis from which I could and did discover biblical truth even though the denomination left it behind years ago. There is a tradition of learning which helped me in my search and even discussions on PCCtalk helped me to hone my study skills.
  11. As long as there is no cost to her, why should she change? Until she has some pain associated with her behavoiur she will not change. I am without a car and have been for years. Two words: Public transportation. A few bus or cab rides will teach her true humility. i am kicking myself that I didn't take better notes when June Hunt talked about this stuff on Hope in the Night. There are all kinds of bits in Proverbs that apply to this
  12. I absolutely agree. I get a daily humour break in my email from a Godly site. Love it. Thanks for posting this little reminder. We need to stop and consider all the ways God blesses us an humour is one of them.
  13. I am truly grateful to the little Evangelical Baptist church that held the VBS that brought me to Christ because I don't think God could have kept me safe without that seal. (now there's a debate subject ) However, it was when I returned to the church from death in the occult and had a pastor who really demanded that our Bible study group get with the program. He said that we were responsible for this stuff and God would demand that we know whereof we speak and that we had to be able to give that answer for the hope that lies within us. He exhorted, enabled and encouraged us to learn the truth and to be able to speak it. He has been my biggest influence for growth and awareness of God and my place in God's plans. Less than 10 years ago, even though saved, I was lost in darkness and knew nothing of the Bible or of sound doctrine. I know that God is the one who organized everything including the fact that I went by that church all the time but He used this godly man to grow me up. To God be the glory, great things He has done. He, and a couple of others like him are what keep me from condeming the old mainline denominations wholesale. It was in a PCC church that I truly came to know and love my Saviour. PCC is Presbyterian Church in Canada
  14. I would be interested in knowing what Oprah thought of this.
  15. You did speak the truth. It will be interesting to see what comes of it.
  16. I'm thinking that we are well down many slippery slopes and not just at the top looking down.
  17. Pastor Brothers believes that there comes a time when you have to pray that God will stop someone in his tracks and maybe this is a time that you should pray that that is what happens. Flat in bed or in a wheelchair can get your attention and limit the evil that you can do. This man is not going to listen to anything God speaks to his heart. If he could desecrate a church with his vile agenda then you need to go to the next level. continue to pray for his repenting but Give God a free hand otherwise.
  18. Where are we now... This little illustration came to my email today and sharing is encouraged... Today's Illustration - "Human Nature" Featured Illustration items are well suited for introducing or illuminating a point in a sermon, speech, or devotional. Funny, moving, or perhaps even graphic, the point of them is the point you make with them. Some guy bought a new fridge for his house. To get rid of his old fridge, he put it in his front yard and hung a sign on it saying: "Free to good home. You want it, you take it." For three days the fridge sat there without even one person looking twice at it. He eventually decided that people were too un-trusting of this deal. It looked to good to be true, so he changed the sign to read: "Fridge for sale $50." The next day someone stole it.
  19. As long as the other church excepts Jesus Christ Can I just check to make sure that this is a mis-hearing of the word accepts or do you reall mean that anyone except Jesus can be a saviour. It's hard to tell what is internet spelling and what is theology these days.
  20. ,------------quote--------------------------------> Every home should have Internet access. (socialism again, let the hard workers pay for internet access for the lazy) <------------------------------------------------------------------> I believe that the basic motive here is the increased use of pornography. You own someone's hormones, you own their vote. Porn can be force fed if need be (like now) - the times they are a changin'. ... to a brave new world.
  21. 24. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? 25. And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: This is a very Fore-telling verse is it not? God's mind at creation is incredible ;He created the tree that would sweeten the waters. And then we add the fact that this foreshadows a tree that is yet to come. Yah gotta love a God like that!
  22. I haven't checked that link yet but why am I thinking the Jesus Seminar figures in there somewhere or where they just the pets of Peter Jennings? - who now knows the truth.
  23. I am praying that you will get right with God. at this point, your relationship with your husband is secondary to this need in your life. The problem with this is that God is not an easy sell. He actually knows whether you are sorry or not and I guess you are not since you have never pretended to be so. You so need to get into God's everlasting arms; firstly to discover the enormity of what you have done to God and then to beg forgiveness for it. You will never be able to be right with your husband as long as you hold God in contempt.
  24. I do believe that the "Thou shalt not bear false witness" is right up their fighting for first place with "Thou shalt not covet. Much of our society is about lies and actually encourages lies. We do see this played out on the world stage (Iran wants nuclear power because they have no reliable sources of power - is that it?) We see it in governments and we see it in the mirror. There is very little reward for truth tellers these days. if we choose to make honesty a major force in our individual lives, it is very challenging to keep it up for very long. I give Beth credit for making this a priority. Even if she is not there yet she is striving for a good finish. That gets you some brownie points somewhere. huyep
  25. ----------------quote------------------------> You're critisizing me because I want to have a career as well as a family. Hmmm...is that not exactly what a MAN wants?? Give me a break- I CAN choose to have a career, and I can ALSO choose to have a family. Just because I don't sit home and look after my kids does not mean I will be a bad mother. I have aspirations other than just being a mom (which I'm not devaluing in any way <-----------------------------------------------------------> You haven't given this a great deal of thought. You cannot be a good mother without mothering and showing up for a couple of hours a day to see your kids is not good mothering. Your kids will always know that they are bystanders and not a special gift that God has given you. They will know that it is your career that makes the big points in your life because you will tell them so every day. You have already decided to do this by your attitude./ I would suggest that you make an effort to listen to Pastor Brothers from Freedom Village USA. he says, don't have kids if you won't take care of them. (yes I know there are places where people have no choice) I don't say this to everyone but you are going into this with the express purpose of leaving them to fend for themselves in the face of teh millions of child molesters that are being created everyday when childcare workers molest little ones. but what do you care if you aren't the one being raped by a babysitter? You have no idea what you are saying. The primary characteristic of kids who take the wrong path is that no one is home to see or care what they do. I have every sympathy for the woman who does have to work to gt food and shelter but I have no respect for any one who could be caring for children but has some selfish need for public approval. If you find your worth in Christ, you will put your time into the children that are a gift from God. and... is that not exactly what a MAN wants?? Perhaps it escaped your notice but that is the role of men and you are not a man. You have bought the lies of Feminism and you expect your children to pay the bill when it comes due. Please, please, please give prayerful thought to this. This is so not what I wanted to say in this thread but the original post that caused this response just broke my heart. I do know my God and I can believe that the first time you experience The Quickening, it will change your view of the little lives that God plans to loan to you. It is the loan of a life.
