  1. I realize that Mel did use his artistic abilities when he created the Passion, which makes me wonder how much of his artistic (extra-biblical) abilities will go into making this movie.
  2. Remember to debate the subject, not the person ...
  3. Hijacking threads is not against the TOS, it's just frowned upon. It's just a waste of a good discussion point, the Bema Seat. C&A debate has been going on for centuries and there still is no final answer, yet it draws the life out of people when they get involved, as the many other threads show.
  4. There seems to be an abundant number of threads about the theology of Calvin and Arminius, why hijack this thread also???
  5. Welcome, and since this is our meet and greet area, I have to say I really hate to reply like this in a welcome thread, but since I'm not sure how long you will be here, I need to tell you that if you did commit the unpardonable sin, you would not be here talking about it. You just would not care about the topic at all or want to "waste your time" discussing it. You have enough posts now to start a real thread in the proper forum.
  6. Now, that's a song I've not heard in years! I think it was done by Keith Green, if my memory is right ... Thanks for the memories!!
  7. Beautiful voicing! I miss those songs from the past. Many churches in my area sing the newer songs, not the older hymnals.
  8. It may seem ridiculous, but unfortunately it's true. Not all will accept salvation throu8gh Jesus. Instead, they reject God, or try to "work" their way through salvation by doing good.
  9. It takes a willing heart to obey Christ. How you describe her way of life, it sounds like she rejects Him and His teachings, which is why people say that she first needs to admit she is a sinner, ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus as her personal Savior, in her heart, not just her mind (thoughts). Being born again is the key as through His power in us, the Holy Spirit can create a new creation, new person in us, so we no longer live according to the desires of the flesh, but through the will of God. We alone cannot do this without first being born again. Remember, she can go directly to the Father through Jesus. No confession to another person is needed. No need to say a certain number of prayers for forgiveness.
  10. Well, then how about the NT? Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. We are not perfect, but we should be allowing the Holy Spirit to conform us to the likeness of Jesus, not the world.
  11. Isn't all this a bit much when someone comes here asking for advice. Whether true or not is not the question, but we should be reaching out to her in grace and not making this about the RCC doctrine at this point? Colossians 4:6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. Notice that it reads "seasoned with salt", not pour the whole salt container on someone.
  12. There is a lot of information about your situation that has not been shared, so accurate analysis is not possible. In a nutshell, after being a parent of 5 kids myself, we, the parent, need to realize and accept that when an adult child refuses to live under the conditions set forth for the house, then it's time for them to move on, find their own place. It's a hard choice to make, but sometimes tough love is required.
  13. There is such a thing as being accountable for ones own actions. It sounds like you are doing everything you can as a parent, even though she is no longer a child. In life we all learn lessons. The best lessons are usually the hardest and hurt the most. Maybe it's time to let her stand on her own two feet all the way around.
  14. The whole thread does not belong in the video section so I returned it to general discussion. Just because there is an embedded video, which should be removed by the poster, doesn't make this a video thread.
  15. That is what the enemy is waiting for, their weakest point, so they can attack. They would never attack when they are united and strong, but divided and weak.
  16. Couple of this I'd like to address. First, the prophecy was spoken so those of that day could recognize the intensity of the war. They would not understand jets, tanks, missiles, etc. Second, before the GWT Judgment, the heavens and the earth had fled away ... gone ... there will be nothing left to clean up. You need to rethink your timeline. I have this to mean the results of the battle of Armageddon.
  17. Hit with what? Did they poke it with the nose of their jet?? I highly doubt the facts on this one.
  18. Thanks for the lengthy explanation, but I just forgot what it was called at the time of posting. Yes, it was a placebo.
  19. In 2000, I was informed I had Hep C. At that time, there were no treatments and my Dr suggested I volunteer for a trial study. I was informed of all the hazards involved, thought about it and decided to try it. I had to take two different medications, an injection and a pill daily. The treatment went on for 6 months where 4 of the months I was bed ridden. At the end of the trial, my count went from the millions to undetectable ... for three months. After three months, the Hep C was back. It was then that I was informed that the pill was fake, but if I wanted to do another treatment, they would ensure I had the real medications, so I agreed. Another 4 months of torture, but it worked. If it were not for the trials I went through, the data gathered to make better medicines would not of been there, so I was more than happy to do my part. Now, the treatments lasts only weeks and are noninvasive, meaning, no real side affects. I received no money for my participation, but being free from Hep C is worth more than what they could of paid me.
  20. Ellen White died over 100 years ago. Since then, many in the SDA have woken up and realize she was not a prophet. What percentage I can't tell you, but they are not like they used to be. They are, however, still legalistic in nature.
  21. Yup, been talked about a lot. The Seven Day Adventist once followed every word she spoke, but have come to question if she was a true prophet or not. I'd say she's not.
  22. This doesn't surprise me. You could see it coming a mile away when the Dems started calling Trump a Russian puppet. They've been pointing finger for years now, looks like they are going to get the battle they wanted ... stupid, it is.
  23. When it is time to go home, why fight it? If God decides it's not your time, He will keep you alive. I sure don't want man to decide how long I should stay here ... but that's just me. Each person has to make that decision for themselves.
  24. LOL ... I need new glasses! I would of sworn it said Worthy Welcome! My Bad ... Man, getting older I guess ... So, how is it this member can make their first post outside of the Welcome Forum???
  25. Welcome to Worthy. I personally use Christian Bookstore. Google it for their website. Wow, this is the first time in years that there is no welcome message from George first!
