  1. Lev. 18:22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. Seems when they started debating the meaning of the english translation of homosexual they should have just looked into scripture. We seem to want to adopt some of those 'laws of Moses' when we wish and throw out the ones we don't like. And if the guy knew more about the Messiah as well as a nation that lives under His theocracy then there would be no need to discuss stoning or anything else.
  2. No is the answer I get from the folks I know, there is a condition, you must believe in YHWH and keep the commandments that apply to you. Of course the many orthodox believe one needs to convert to Judaism. Thing is at the end of the age whether the orthodox or anyone else wants to believe God is going to bring all of His children the whole of Israel back together. I would suggest if you are interested in knowing what Judaism believes go to Judiasm 101 or other sites like that. Personally I think Judaism is not what Yeshua endorsed but then again I don't believe He came to start anything new but to restore His children to the right ways. A few more questions...if Yashua doesn't endorse judaism....what does He endorse?? By His children, who do you mean exactly?? And finally, what are the " right ways " you speak of ?? The Judaism that we see today is not what Yeshua saw it is made up of rabbinical laws and the oral Torah although even at that time we know the different factions and other things had changed. When Yeshua said the dogma and traditions of the fathers and man I can see it meant a lot of things but I think the traditions or fences were added and expanded on through the generations. Israel stopped being a theocracy when the tribes spilt and as was prophecized they were scattered into the nations eventually finding themselves in churches, in synagogues, on the streets still wondering what their purpose is, His children are everywhere and like Judah/Jews they will not know who they are or accept who they are until the cry out and want to know Him, confess the name of His Son and become His first born or first fruits. But Israel is by Gods definition those who keep His commandments and have the testimony of the Messiah, God calls these people Israel, has nothing to do with genetics or lineages but those who turn their heart to Him. We all know the prophecies and they are all hotly debated but God does say He will bring back Judah and Ephraim, the scattered 10 and their companions together once again in the millennial reign. That is what the apostles asked of Him 'is this the time of restoration' Acts 1:6 have had to have something first to restore. Right ways, I don't think that one will find 'thou shalt wash thine hands before eating' but its a great thing to do which is an example of the 'Spirit of the law' the Jews decided Yeshua sinned because He thrashed wheat in His hands and that they were not clean either, the first you will find in Torah but not the second. So Yeshua was calling all His back to His Torah, restoring the peoples minds back to His Word telling them His word is the one to follow not mans. When Yeshua told the apostles not to do as the pharisees did He also told them to listen to them because they spoke the words of Moses, those words were not Moses words but God's just as all the prophecies we have today were not Jeremiahs words but the words God told Him to write. No one should ever take commands, oral or otherwise as being something that saves or redeems and Yeshua did say He was the way the truth and the light. Frankly I applaude Judaism and the Jews for keeping Gods written words in the forefront of everyday headlines for generations, its written somewhere that Judah was to keep the law in the front of the nations and truly it is their insistance of wanting to be Jews in all their practices that keeps them in the front of their enemies.
  3. And there it makes it it all non biblical commands but one made up by the rabbis. God didn't set it up that way there were Egptians, and others with the families of Israel and I imagine many mixed marriages also that went out to Sinai and said I do to YHWH becoming His called out assembly. And that is who will go into the gates of the kingdom, those that cling to Messiah, believe in the one true God or as Rev. 22 and elsewhere says 'those that keep the Torah of YHWH and those that have the testimony of the Messiah Yeshua', they are Israel the sons/children/called out ones or church of God.
  4. I think we all often think about all that hot air coming out of our govt...
  5. I'm not sure how I feel about that, I mean on one hand its a great renewable source of energy, on the other hmm thats tough to answer. Its just the heat off the furnance that is being used yet the idea that heat may have come because of a loved one. wow thats just a tough thing to answer. My husband on the other hand says its a good source of energy and well why not use it as long as its just heat coming through. Looking forward to others giving their opinions.
  6. I understand Turkey is sending two more this spring to break Israels hold on its own waters, lets pray things go smoothly and the Turks back off or send it to Egypt!

    Tithe???

McGee is wrong. He had been influenced by someone. As God has made a distinct set of promises concerning the tithe, and God's promises are never defunct, then if we tithe to Him, He will honour them...and He does! Blessing and curses come from either obeying or disobeying His laws. So if we are commanded to tithe, which is part of that 'old testament' laws that most say are done away with, so if we are to obey the tithing commands then why not the rest? Personally I have never met anyone who tithes according to Gods laws, theres no temple, theres no real community that we see for the reasons of tithing as we see in scriptures. God set up the tithing system through Moses because of the priesthood and the sacrificial system, and though we find Abraham giving a tithe to Melcheizedak, there was no clear cut direct command to do so until Moses. So if the law came through Moses and as so many believe that the commandments, the Torah has been done away with, why still tithe? There is no clear cut direction or command in the NT for tithing so by your own admission we are blessed by following this one command why do we not need to follow the others?
  9. My brother has a minature schnauzer who stank for so long and no amount of washing helped finally my mom soaked him in vinegar, not sure why that worked but it did now they bath him in vinegar first and then shampoo. Not sure if that will help you with your dogs problem. Maybe a soak in baking soda might help, it does take the smell out of the frig!
  10. Israel are the people of God, yes there is a land called Israel initially it was going to be called Judah though. God's hand is certainly on those that live in that land today but His hand is on all who are His! Some of the Egyptians in pharoahs court it seems saved their livestock because they listened to Moses and knew Moses God was all powerful, it was a mixed multitude that went out of Egypt not just Hebrews. Sheya Joie wrote: Its always puzzled me about the animals also but we are not told the amount of time between most of the plaques so buying more animals from the surrounding peoples makes good sense especially if there were many days between them.
  11. It has something to do with the year born and it doesn' work for someone over 100 I think thats how it works still early for me here and not enough caffine to get the brain going, I saw this on a friends FB page but couldn't find the thread.
  12. Sing, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! The Lord has taken away your judgments, He has cast out your enemy. The king of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; You shall see disaster no more. In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: Do not fear; Zion, let not your hands be weak. Zepha. 3:14-16 Theres is no doubt that judgment will come to the whole world including Jersusalem but what you are enspousing here just doesn't add up. God made a covenant with the people and if they lived according to His words, living within the covenant, they would prosper etc. per Due. 30. I cannot find where God made a covenant with Jerusalem or where God made a covenant with a land mass only that God made a covenant with Abraham that his descendants would inherit that land, a land mass that is much larger than what Israel took hold of to start with. If you have the scriptures that show God made a covenant with a land mass I would like to see it I certainly could have missed it.
  13. I don't think Paul struggles with grace at all but finds that even though he knows that he is free in the Spirit to walk out his faith in the Spirit of the Torah his flesh fights with him always and Paul understands that he no longer needs to live by the letters of the Torah. Paul strives to put off the old man of flesh and walk in the new man who can walk in the Spirit of the Torah/law.
  14. Ezekiel's temple is a physical temple, the references to the day and night in the chpt cannot be a heavenly temple as there is no night or day in heaven. Malachi 3 starts out with Yeshua coming, 'But who can endure the day when He comes?' the day of His return, where we read 'and the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to His temple' where He will judge from. Where does Yeshua reign from when He rules with a rod of iron? Where will He be when the nations come to Jerusalem to learn from Him if not an earthly throne?
  15. That sounds more like the Temple than the city of Jerusalem. Note Rev. 20:9 says Camp of the Saints AND the Beloved City. Here comes my nose Neb. The Temple, the city, one or both...is not what is being spoken of here a LONG time off? The camp is not the city, lets start in 2 Chron. 31:2, gates are openings in the tent structures as there is no temple it had been destroyed the city had been destroyed and Hezekiah was rebuilding the walls, etc. The camp is not the city the camp are the people and that is what we see throughout when camp is used. Rev. 20 we see that God's camp of people and the city, two distinct items, the advesary is going after God's people but is defeated by Yeshua. Your take on Gal. 4 makes no sense to me what has it do to with Jerusalem? What is being said here in Gal. is whats called a midrash, taking about the two covenants one freedom in Messiah to follow Torah freely with no condemnation, the other to follow in some type of legalistic nature of Torah, we are not under the dominion of sin on our lives is what this is saying. Where do you get Jerusalem as some kind of 'spiritually spoken Jersualem'?
  16. Those were my feelings when I read this yesterday, it was a great way to start off the week, in some ways renewing a bit of faith that there are good people still out there and knowing that grandfather made it to his grandsons side even for such a sad occasion well theres no words. God's blessing on that pilot!

    Tithe???

Now if tithing is still God's law and for all today why isn't the rest of the His laws still for all today? Grace covers us when we cannot equal what God has given us as some have said, that His grace allows us not to tithe in that 'old testament' way and give as we can or are led to yet the same say that we are not to do other of Gods laws they are dismissed as being fulfilled or done away with. I am not trying to be contentious at all just trying not to see some kind of different standard or something about which of His instructions we should toss out or follow. Personally I see the Torah as relevant to me today as it was to those at Yeshua's time, I cannot say how grateful/thankful I am for His grace that allows me to give as I can and not be condemned by the letter of the law but guided by His Word and Spirit and thats how I feel about all of His Torah not just tithing.

    Satan

People forget about personal responsiblity and choose to blame it on someone else instead of themselves. God is not lost He is everywhere, from the smallest flower to the skies above us so I find its usually me or us that is not listening. First I think you need to fully believe in God that He is real and there for you always, once you know He is there, pray, pray and pray to Him for guideance. We need to leave behind our preconceived notion of what God is and how we expect Him to act, He does work in ways none of us can comprehend yet He is always going to show Himself in ways each of us can understand so maybe its that you are missing His voice in all of the confusion of trying to find Him. After all it is God who calls us to Him and we are resonsible for heeding it He will never ever force anyone to do anything they are not willing to do.
  19. Actually, Loughner was described by one of his friends on ABC news as, "a "political radical" and "left wing, quite liberal." He is also a "911 Truther" who believes the Bush Administration was behind the 911 attacks. He also approves burning of the American flag. He sure doesn't sound like a Conservative to me. Far be it from me to defend this person, but I know a lot of good concervitive people who are truthers...... Doctors, Engineers Lawyers and all kinds of solid American Citizens. He also bleieved most of what Yod and myself have been trying to get across concerning the future of our country........ It's a very good ploy by those who are doing things to subvert our country by attaching them to peole like this so the general public will consider everything this guy said or in some cases didn't say as crazy. The 'truthers' accused a sitting President of orchestrating (or allowing) an attack on this country. I don't care if the supporters of that are doctors, lawyers or Indian chiefs.....that whole scenario is so far removed from reality as to be ludicrous. You should also consider that the people saying those things about this guy Loughner are just ordinary people; his friends, classmates and others who know him. Are they in on the conspiracy too? A few truthers have made those accusations MG. But the vast majority of the truthers are simply saying that what the government told us was not true, and they/we want a real outside inquire of what actually happened that day..... The vast majority of us simply want to know the truth......... that's why we're called truthers. Absolutely what we want, and it has nothing to do with Bush or Chaney. I personally don't think Bush had a thing to do with it unless he was told something was going to happen and that was all he was told. Theres a line in a song 'people get ready the trains acomin' we all need to be prepared for whats coming.
  20. I do think we can 'help' who we fall in love with, its the lust part we seem to have problems with. Physical attraction is what 'brings' people together but thats a emotional reaction and whether we think so or not emotional and heart reactions are different, at least I see it that way. In some ways I see God using pharoahs reactions as emotional, reacting to whats happening at the moment and I do kinda seeing God wanting him to make a decision based not on emotions but on the heart of the matter. By hardening the heart pharoah was unable to make concrete decisions to do what was right even after seeing the plaques. We meet someone and soon enough we think we might be in love, sometimes we are reacting to situations or possiblities and not with some basic facts of it all, there was a reason God set up courtship or a waiting period between betrothed and marriage. None of seem to do that anymore allowing time for the relationship to grow and mature, so I do think we can 'help' who we fall in love with cuz if its real love people can wait and see if its real and lasting. And as some of us know some kinds of love is not always good for us. Just my nickels worth of thoughts.
  21. I thought about trying that myself! but with my eyes its too much for me, so glad its back up!
  22. By birth rate alone I believe islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. In this article we see the growth of believers in all forms some though will not consider these people christians since they don't adhere to what mainstream denominations believe are 'real' christians. I am amazed at the pouring out of His Spirit around the world the growth of what most call Messianics or hebrew rooted believers grows each day I meet new believers who want to learn more and more about His ways. Praise Adonai!
  23. I can see that happening. People no matter how good the intentions never know what they will do faced with starvation, although I don't think its going to happen over night. I have celiacs so I do pay about 6 dollars for a loaf of bread I will have to give up my beloved sandwhiches when it goes up more than a dollar. With the already shortage of grains from flooding, fires and famine the price will go up as well as become a limited product, visions of Russia always run through my head when I think of what very well may be coming. Listening to some radio show I heard a Brit state that it will be soon nationalist against immigrant as well as 'globalist' in many many nations.
  24. Well sadly the pigeons are doing well here! But thinking about it I have noticed more and more pigeons staying on the ground when approached, instead of taking to flight they are running on the ground. We had a ton more ravens this year than last and we have found a lot! more dead pigeons than we have ever found in the 17 years we've been here, wonder if that has any significance.
  25. These weird die offs have been happening the last few years from what I remember, last year there were fish and bird die offs and hmm I don't think there was any concrete reasons given. For the last few weeks the scriptures about a third of the waters etc have been running in my head and daily it seems in my bible studies I am brought back to passages such as those, strange.
