As a child growing up, hearing stories and depictions of angels has always fascinated me, even today. While maturing in the biblical study of angelology, I used discernment to separate fiction and myth from biblical fact and what we are told concerning angels (messengers). There are different classifications of the heavenly host (Army of God), all serving God in some capacity and function. Only two angels are mentioned by name in the Hebrew Bible: Michael and Gabriel. We glean other angelic names from pseudepigrapha, such as 1 Enoch and DSS 4Q found in the Qumran Dead Sea Scrolls. Not all-inclusive, some classifications or, better said, descriptions and ranks of the angelic host are messenger Angels, Arch Angels, Cherubim, Seraphim, Destroying angels, Thrones, Dominions, and Powers. Little is said about these beings, mainly their job descriptions or duties. Apart from Cherubim (four wings) and Seraphim (six wings and do fly), regular messenger angels are never said to have wings and fly and always appear to men in human form (wingless). I have thoughts on how they travel, but that is another subject. They are not said to be cute babies with a bow; they are always in the masculine sense and never feminine. Angels are mentioned in 283 verses in the Bible, always in connection with their job description, mission, or function. Messenger angels are servants, watchers, ministers, and attendants, not throne guardians. Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. God created angels before the creation of the Earth: Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? Angels are the sons of God. Adam was a direct creation of God and, therefore, also a son of God. Because of sin and the fall, we are the sons of Adam. However: John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: So, legally, the angelic host (Army of God) and Christian soldiers are related, the older siblings with the younger siblings, the family of God. I believe Adam and Eve interacted with God's angels and heavenly hosts before sin entered the world. Eve did not run off screaming because of a talking serpent. Angels and the heavenly host are not invisible; our insight into the celestial realm (possibly dimensional) was removed as I view it. 2 Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. [emphasis added] Note: It is not indicated to make the angels visible supernaturally but to open the young man’s eyes, as if he could once see but is now blinded. 1 Peter 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. Through Peter and his fellow apostles, this good news that they anticipated has now been preached even to us. The gospel is so incredible that even angels long to catch a glimpse of these things (1:12). They are observing the church to try and understand God’s amazing grace.[1] I want to mention manna, also known as angel food. Psalm 78:25 Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full. The literal translation of manna is, “What is it?” The last time the Ark of the Covenant was opened for inspection, Aaron’s budding rod and the golden pot of manna were missing from inside the Ark. Where did they go, and why? I suspect they ended up like the Brazen Serpent Moses raised out in the wilderness, being removed and destroyed. As Moses's body was buried and hidden, and the brazen serpent was ground into dust and destroyed, they would eventually have been venerated as idols of worship. The Shroud of Turin, the Spear of Destiny, the Last Supper chalice, and the like are not to be venerated or idols. Only the One True living God is to be worshipped. Back to the manna: In the wilderness, God supernaturally provided a daily ration of manna for roughly four million exiles, 600,000+ fighting men over twenty, women, and children. A double portion of manna the day before the Sabbath to carry them through. I suspect manna is a seed or grain used to make unleavened bread (not puffed up with yeast-sin) that tastes like honey. Before the fall, Adam and Eve tended the garden and were growers and caretakers. Because of sin: Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Feeding oneself was never intended to be laborious, backbreaking, and arduous labor to survive. Each day in the wilderness, did God speak the manna into existence (ex nihilo), or did it preexist? With the blessings of God, man is responsible for his food production in most instances. What about the angelic host and the angel's food? We know only God can speak something into existence from nothing; the angelic host cannot. Heaven is a busy place; would it not seem plausible that the heavenly host grows their manna? If manna is a seed or grain, I think of the thousands of tons needed to sustain four million people for forty years. Later, God included quail in their diet because of complaining about the manna. Matthew 16:19 - "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Of the angels He says: 'He makes His angels spirits, and His servants a flame of fire.'" - Hebrews 1:6-7 There will be a growing consciousness of the angelic activity in our midst, especially as we activate them in through our worship. The angels are activated and energized by our surrendered pursuit of God. We know the angels rejoice when someone comes to the Lord and that they are here to help us advance His Kingdom. When Heaven is manifested on the earth, it stirs and shifts things in the invisible realm where God's angels are activated. As we continue to engage with God – manifesting His Kingdom in such a way that the light of His presence changes atmospheres – His heavenly hosts will bring their assistance to us. Song of Solomon 2:3 - "As an apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under the shadow of him whom I desired, and his fruit was sweet to my taste." THE BELOVED (JESUS) IS THE MOST PLEASING SIGHT IN HEAVEN AND IN EARTH. HIS BRIDE SITS UNDER THE SHADOW OF HIS PROTECTION. HIS FRUIT, EVEN THE FRUIT OF THE CROSS, IS SWEET TO TASTE. To continue my discussion with Last Daze, we started talking about Satan, the fallen angels, and the abyss so I wanted to start a discussion on that topic and share my thoughts and get feedback without derailing other thread subjects. For any eschatology students, here are some possible insights that might be helpful as we all seek to learn together. I also highly recommend Michael Heiser’s book, “The Unseen Realm”, in your studies for a solid background to support the supernatural worldview I am promoting below. I won’t ruin his book for you, but only to say that in it, he reveals how the sin of the angels in Gen 6 became important to the biblical story and a passage in Deut 32:8 teaches that the nations were given over to the “Sons of God” and he defends that translation as a Hebrew scholar. He does an excellent job uncovering the hidden plot playing out behind the biblical scene. Well, with that in mind, here are some points to consider as well that I have discovered by God’s grace. In Rev 12:3 and other passages, we are told that Satan, the dragon, has seven heads and ten horns. It says later that the ten horns are kings who rule with the beast for an hour (Rev 17:12). I have always considered the seven mountains to be a succession of historical nations as I think most of you have until I came across several passages that led me to reconsider this position. I now propose that the seven heads are fallen arch-angels who are under their authority of a main fallen angel and that these angels will be temporarily loosed to come back as they did in Gen 6 to inflict specific judgments. Whereas the 10 horns are possibly just human kings who fight alongside the fallen angels (Ezek 38:9, 39:4 "you and all your hordes, and many peoples with you."). I am open to the 10 kings also being possible fallen angels too based on Daniel 7:20, "his companions". Here is my evidence so far for this proposition: * First, the angel that comes out of the abyss is called a king, prince or ruler in the greek (Rev 9:11). * Second, in Rev 12:7, 9, it repeatedly describes Satan and “his angels”. It makes sense that these angel kings are also on his head. This is similar to the king and his locust army that comes out the abyss who also have crowns (Rev 9:7). * Third, fallen angels elsewhere in scripture are also called princes or rulers in Daniel 10:13, 20-21. * Fourth, we see in Rev 9:14, that there are four angels bound and then released at the Euphrates. Could these angelic hosts who return explain the verse in Rev 17:10 “five of whom have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come,”? Contextually they are the previous five fallen angels in John’s timeframe; the wormwood star (Rev 8:10-11), the star of the abyss (Rev 9:1), with the four of the Euphrates (Rev 9:14) already fallen? * Fifth, the seventh king beast in Rev 17:10-11 comes from the abyss (Rev 11:7 and Rev 17:8). Why not the other 6 kings as well? * Sixth, In the book of 1 Enoch, seven fallen angels in the abyss are called mountains. The Bible says Enoch prophesied truth in Jude 1:14-15. Does that make him a true prophet based on the Deut 18 test? At least consider its statements on this subject. Here is a free online version of 1 Enoch. In Enoch chapter 56:1-15, he says that the angels return in v. 5, to instigate the Parthians and Medes (Iran). See also: Jer 51:11,28, Isa 13:17 1. And I saw there the hosts of the angels of punishment going, and they held scourges and chains of iron and bronze. 2. And I asked the angel of peace who went with me, saying: 'To whom are these who hold the scourges going?' 3. And he said unto me: 'To their elect and beloved ones, that they may be cast into the chasm of the abyss of the valley. 4. And then that valley shall be filled with their elect and beloved, And the days of their lives shall be at an end, And the days of their leading astray shall not thenceforward be reckoned. 5. And in those days the angels shall return And hurl themselves to the east upon the Parthians and Medes: They shall stir up the kings, so that a spirit of unrest shall come upon them, And they shall rouse them from their thrones, That they may break forth as lions from their lairs, And as hungry wolves among their flocks. 6. And they shall go up and tread under foot the land of His elect ones, [And the land of His elect ones shall be before them a threshing-floor and a highway:] 7 But the city of my righteous shall be a hindrance to their horses. And they shall begin to fight among themselves, And their right hand shall be strong against themselves, And a man shall not know his brother, Nor a son his father or his mother, Till there be no number of the corpses through their slaughter, And their punishment be not in vain. 8 In those days Sheol shall open its jaws, And they shall be swallowed up therein And their destruction shall be at an end; Sheol shall devour the sinners in the presence of the elect.' What is especially interesting is that 1 Enoch chapter 18:11-15 then describes the angels who are in the abyss. The fallen angels are described as "mountains." 11. And I saw a deep abyss, with columns ⌈⌈of heavenly fire, and among them I saw columns⌉⌉ of fire fall, which were beyond measure alike towards the height and towards the depth. 12. And beyond that abyss I saw a place which had no firmament of the heaven above, and no firmly founded earth beneath it: there was no water upon it, and no birds, but it was a waste and horrible place. 13. I saw there seven stars like great burning mountains, and to me, when I inquired regarding them, 14. The angel said: 'This place is the end of heaven and earth: this has become a prison for the stars and the host of heaven. 15. And the stars which roll over the fire are they which have transgressed the commandment of the Lord in the beginning of their rising, because they did not come forth at their appointed times. 16. And He was wroth with them, and bound them till the time when their guilt should be consummated (even) ⌈for ten thousand years⌉.' He discusses further details in 1 Enoch chapter 19:1-2, 20:1-2 and in chapter 21:1-10 he again repeats the seven angels of the abyss as mountains. 1. And I proceeded to where things were chaotic. 2. And I saw there something horrible: I saw neither a heaven above nor a firmly founded earth, but a place chaotic and horrible. 3. And there I saw seven stars of the heaven bound together in it, like great mountains and burning with fire. 4. Then I said: 'For what sin are they bound, and on what account have they been cast in hither?' 5. Then said Uriel, one of the holy angels, who was with me, and was chief over them, and said: 'Enoch, why dost thou ask, and why art thou eager for the truth? 6. These are of the number of the stars ⌈of heaven⌉, which have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and are bound here till ten thousand years, the time entailed by their sins, are consummated.' 7. And from thence I went to another place, which was still more horrible than the former, and I saw a horrible thing: a great fire there which burnt and blazed, and the place was cleft as far as the abyss, being full of great descending columns of fire: neither its extent or magnitude could I see, nor could I conjecture. 8. Then I said: 'How fearful is the place and how terrible to look upon!' 9. Then Uriel answered me, one of the holy angels who was with me, and said unto me: 'Enoch, why hast thou such fear and affright?' And I answered: 'Because of this fearful place, and because of the spectacle of the pain.' 10. And he said ⌈⌈unto me⌉⌉: 'This place is the prison of the angels, and here they will be imprisoned for ever.' * Seventh, the fallen angels seem to have corresponding holy angels over them that they contend with. - We can see this angelic contrast in Rev 12:7 Michael and his angels fight with the dragon and his angels. - We can see this angelic contrast in (Daniel 10:13, 20-21) with Gabriel and Michael contending with the princes of Persia and Greece. - We can see this angelic contrast with the four horns of the bronze or golden alter vs the four angels loosed at the Euphrates in (Rev 9:13-15). - We can see this angelic contrast in (Zech 1:19) with the four horns that scatter Judah vs. (Zech 1:20-21) the four craftsmen who come to cast down the horns. - We can see this angelic contrast in 1 Enoch chapters 18-21, there are 7 mountains describing the fallen angels in the abyss and then in 1 Enoch chapters 24-26, 31-32 we see seven heavenly mountains. Interestingly, Jerusalem is the mountain throne at the center of these mountains and in chapter 24:6, Michael is said to be “their leader”. - In Rev 5:6, Jesus the Lamb is said to have 7 horns and seven eyes of spirits throughout the earth. Are these the 7 arch-angels of heaven mentioned in 1 Enoch? - We can see this angelic contrast in the unholy antichrist who is called the “chief prince” in Ezek 39:1 and with the holy Archangel Michael also being called a "chief prince" in Dan 10:13 and in Rev 12:7 Michael has "his angels" and the dragon has "his angels". There seems to be a hierarchical reign within the two differing angelic camps. I have further research to add but will just leave it here to start the discussion. I’m hoping for others to come along and help dig further into this possible interpretation. After I came. To Christ God gave me "eyes to see and ears to hear" I would have a series of dreams. He was showing me some of the things he wants me to operate in. 1. I saw about 10 or so angels surrounding me as I cast a demon out of a man in the street and he grew wings 2. I went into a car parts shop and was ministering to someone in Spanish by gift of the holy Spirit 3. I'm standing on a stage preaching to teens about overcoming the ways of the world and walking. Like Christ on the earth. That's just an example of what he has shown me. But it's starting to get. Intense. For instance when I first came to Christ I would be dreaming about being tempted to sin then I would speak the word of God in my dream and call out the lie then the face of the person would change to a demon I would wake up search the Bible pray and worship call on the Lord. But now it's different it's like if a spirit is trying to come in our home god will show me the spirit realm and I can see the demon then I "wake up" and can feel the spirits energy and I cast it out. This last expierence was even more different I was asleep then I woke up. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't I was laying down but I could see me go out side I live on a second floor apartment I floated through my window it was like everything was sperated. If I looked straight ahead it looked normal like what I see everyday if I looked down it looked like ground went to the core of the earth and I saw fire I didn't look up but I saw this bright light shining behind me. There was a group of 8 demons trying to attack me they rushed me and I started speaking the word of God casting them out of my neighborhood and this forced pushed out of my body kind of like strong wind and pushed all those demons away to keep them from touching me and 3 angels came from behind me and bound those demons and cast them into that fire pit another wave of demons came at me and attacked I fought with the word and that force kept pushing them off me and those angels bound them and cast them down all of a sudden I grew wings big huge white wings that looked like eagles wings and I flew up towards that bright light which was the precense of God and hugged the bottom of a huge leg then the verse in Isaiah 40:31 was put in my spirit i was suddenly back in my room looking at my dresser....the whole day I felt where those wings are in my spirit. Has anyone expierenced stuff like that. I realize that I'm a warrior in God's army but has anyone done that and more??

"Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you." -Zechariah 9:12 There are those who have been faithful, standing upon the promises of the Father. They have contended for and have walked in obedience toward the things that God has called them to, even though it seems as though war has broken out against them -- they are experiencing extreme heartache and despair. "Though an army besiege me my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident." - Psalm 27:3 Keep your eyes on the Lord. Feast on His goodness, and know that even now your Redeemer is preparing a table of feasting for you in the very presence of your enemies (Psalm 23:5). REST IN THE LOVE OF THE FATHER This is a time to go deeper into the Father's rest; for rest is a form of warfare. Be assured: the Lord is fighting your battles, even as you take time to rest in Him. The battle is not yours, but the Lord's (see 1 Samuel 17:47). As you let go and let God, you will begin to see His hand at work in your life. The Lord is going to uproot lies and fears that have once found a lodging place in your heart and mind. Pick up your hope, and remember that His perfect love casts out all fear. The Lord is renewing the minds and thought processes that have not lined up with the truth of the Father's heart. He is bringing His people out of Egypt and out of a slavery mentality. You will no longer feel hemmed in and confined; the Lord Himself is bringing you into a new, spacious place! PUT ON NEW GARMENTS Watch as He crowns you with a crown of beauty and washes away despair. "I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of His righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels." - Isaiah 61:10 As it is written in Psalm 24:9, "Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in." The Lord is rising on your behalf, and your victory is certain! Align your thoughts and your words with the promises of the Lord. Prophesy to the dead bones, "Come alive," for He is about to change everything. The areas of your greatest disappointments will soon be flooded with new life. Your breakthrough is near! Genesis 28:12 - "And he dreamed that there was a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it!" WHAT WAS THE INITIAL REVELATION OF THE HOUSE OF GOD? IT HAS THE PRESENCE OF GOD, A GATE TO HEAVEN, AND A LADDER WITH ANGELS ASCENDING AND DESCENDING UPON IT. THIS REVELATION SHOWS THE RESOURCES THAT ARE AT OUR DISPOSAL TO CARRY OUT THE MASTER'S PLAN. Affirmations: I AM THE TEMPLE OF GOD. I AM A DWELLING PLACE OF GOD. MY ASSIGNMENT IS TO BE A STEWARD OF THE HEAVENLY REALM. MY SPEECH DEMONSTRATES THE POWER OF GOD'S SPIRIT IN MY LIFE. Revelation 22:1 - "And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb." God leads me to the river of His Spirit, the current of clear goodness that flows without ceasing. As I step into that unfailing new life, I will want nothing else. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY

John 1:51 - "Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see the heavens opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man." Jesus is Jacob's ladder which we ascend and descend upon. It is our calling in Christ to both go higher and go lower. We are called to ascend into the heavenly places and be seated with Him there, and at the same time descend to the earth with the evidence of heaven's reality. As children of the King, we are members of the greatest aristocracy in the universe, yet we go to the lowest sinners as their servants to help them join the true nobility. Ezekiel 47:11 - "But its swamps and marshes will not be healed; they will be given over to salt." SWAMPS REPRESENT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN: (1) CHURCH BODIES TURN INWARD AND CEASE TO HAVE A PURPOSE BEYOND THEMSELVES. (2) INDIVIDUALS STAY IN PERPETUAL RECOVERY. SWAMPS AND MARSHES ARE PLACES WHERE WATER GETS STUCK. WHEN WATER DOESN'T FLOW ANYWHERE, IT EVENTUALLY TURNS TO SALT. GOD SAYS TO US THAT BECAUSE YOU DON'T GO THERE, BECAUSE YOU WON'T FLOW THERE, YOU'RE GOING TO BE GIVEN OVER TO SALT. WE'RE EITHER GOING TO BE GIVEN AS SALT TO THE WORLD, AS IT SAYS IN MATTHEW 5:13, WHERE WE ARE A PRESERVATIVE AND SEASONING - A GOOD THING; OR WE'LL BE GIVEN OVER TO BECOME AS DEAD-END SALT BEFORE THE WORLD - A BAD THING. NOTHING CAN LIVE IN THAT KIND OF SALT. IT'S A CURSE, A JUDGMENT. EITHER WAY, WE WILL HAVE A SALT ENCOUNTER. Matthew 6:24,25 - "Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life." WE SERVE OUR THOUGHTS! ISAIAH 55 SAYS FOR US TO FORSAKE OUR THOUGHTS, AND BY THE WORD, TAKE GOD'S THOUGHTS. THATS WHY 2 CORINTHIANS 10:5 SAYS TO CAST OUT THOUGHTS THAT CHALLENGE THE WORD AND BRING INTO CAPTIVITY EVERY THOUGHT TO THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST. Numbers 13:28,30 - "Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak (giants) there. And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it." MANY BELIEVERS, LIKE THE ISRAELITES, ARE WANDERING AROUND IN A WILDERNESS OF DEFEAT BECAUSE THERE'S AN ENEMY IN THE PROMISED LAND. THEY'RE BEING ROBBED OF THEIR RIGHTFUL INHERITANCE BECAUSE THEY'RE AFRAID TO FIGHT HIM. Affirmations: I AM NO LONGER GOING TO SIT IN THE WILDERNESS WHERE THE DEVIL STEALS THE BLESSINGS OF GOD OUT FROM UNDER ME. I HAVE GOD'S PERMISSION AND HIS POWER AND HIS ABILITY TO TAKE THE LAND. I GET VIOLENT ENOUGH TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT ......TODAY! Matthew 11:12 - "From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and violent take it by force." Hebrews 1:14 - "Are they (angels) not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" AS AN AMBASSADOR, THE MILITARY OF THE KINGDOM I REPRESENT IS AT MY DISPOSAL TO HELP ME CARRY OUT THE KING'S ORDERS. Are you going to refuse it, or are you gong to yield? 1. If you yield, He will put in you a living faith, and you cannot get away from the power of it. 2. How amazing it is that we can be so transformed that the thoughts of Christ will be first in our minds. 3. I had once heard a few different people explain this bible scripture, but I would like more opinions. 2 Corinthians 2:14-15 "But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing."

Matthew 18:10"Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven. ​To me this means that we are not to despise child like believers because they are honored in heaven. whats your understanding on this verse?
