The gist of what I hear you saying is that we should be sincere in our walk with the LORD. I couldn't agree more.

We as individuals, do not possess the power to outfox or beat the adversary, only CHRIST JESUS has that power.

The only way for us to have victory over sin and triumph over temptation is to be into the WORD of GOD with all our heart, mind and actions 24/7/365.

How we go about doing that is as individual as we are, but we do share many common areas of ground.

 i know yer right ,,, there are many ways to bake a pie but its still a pie

Good advice so far. I just want to add a little. Our enemy is always after us, but he is no problem for the Holy Spirit. Whether you plan out your prayers, worship in a routine, or are unpredictable it is the Holy Spirit who will be your protection against satan's lies. Draw closer to God and you will be protected. As far as jumping up and down out of joy, God does want us to be joyful! I know He takes pleasure in knowing that you are that enthusiastic. The guide to our actions in worship is the Bible....how did Jesus act and how did the disciples worship? A Christian does not want to stumble anyone by their actions. There ae some very odd ways that some people say to worship - some handle poisonous snakes, some do "holy laughter", some have odd sorts of dancing. We don't see the Apostles doing these things. So, if you want to jump for joy in your home, jump away. But don't make a public display and cause others to stumble.

Nathele

I disagree Nathele. When David brought the ark into the city he danced wildly, jumping up and down in front of the whole city. He even lost some of his cloths doing it. But was God angry at David for his form of worshiping his God? No! Scripture says that the only person who seemed to be concerned about David's dancing was his wife. Doesn't Jesus teach us not to be a shamed of Him? Yes He does! If God was angry at David that day He never said so. Which means the only conclusion was that He was blessed by the worship of David. The old testament is still mostly just as relevant to day as it was in the days it was written and it is a mistake think that the new testament is the only place in the bible to find biblical examples to fallow.

However I do believe that if what a person is doing in a worship service is disruptive to the rest of the congregation then consideration for the other members should be taken into account. But there is no proof that making such a public display of worship is in any way going to cause any one to stumble. And if there is such a stumble then who ever stumbles has not read enough of the word of God to know that jumping up and down in worship to Him is good in His eyes.

If the disciples of Jesus worshiped like other Jews then they did as the bible tells them to worship. Which is with music, the dance, shouting and so on.

Yes, I agree that David is an example of a

hi everyone,

This is an account of what is going through my mind. Please read and tell me if it is right or wrong.

Recently a friend told me, "When you are dueling with someone, it is very important to be unpredictable". I wondered what it meant in the context of struggling against the devil. From what I know, the devil doesn't know what we are or aren't going to do next. He just goes by his analysis of human beings for so many thousands of years. So if there is one sure way of invalidating his ways, it is by being unpredictable.

Our "traditional" churches almost teach me a pattern. So it easily gives the devil ammunition to plan how to disrupt my peace and joy. Churches never tell me it is okay to worship God even by jumping up and down out of joy. Some churches even condemn such behavior.

Let us look at it this way, when I have a relationship with a very close friend. I do not plan what I want to relate to them like every morning. I do not decide what to talk about. I love them and we have a different but interesting conversation every time. But when it comes to God, I plan what to pray and how to pray. Planning is necessary to certain extent, but not planning all the time. I should walk in love for the Lord, and do things naturally rather than say, "I will get up at seven everyday and read one chapter of the Bible". Instead if I choose to love the Lord, I may sometimes read only one verse and sometimes none. But as time passes, I will admire more and more of His goodness.

So one sure way of beating the devil is to break out of my preconceived notions about God and do it 'from the bottom of my heart'.

I sure will fail...maybe even a lot of times. But if I am sticking to this static way of praying to God, I have failed already.

[/quotte]

Sounds like a good plan to break the monotony. God in no way wants our walk to be monotonous. And unpredictability sounds like excellent strategy to beat the devil. If he doesnt see you coming, he certainly can't be there waiting for you.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
