why don't we just all get back on the topic that this thread was created about... you know, the million dollar scholarship program for palenstinians.

Great idea, L.C.; all this happy talk about islam is giving me hives anyway. I am totally against giving scholarships to anyone who is not American at this stage of an economic crisis. There are plenty of American kids who need a hand up right now.

i'm against the US giving scholarships to anyone who is not american at ANY state in the economy, EVER. any financial aid to any student outside our own country will mean one more american student who is missing out on higher education, no matter how wonderfully our economy recovers.

gator i'm not saying this to be offensive but i'm glad the marines at khe sanh and hue city did not have your mind set.

gator i spend most of my time in the central highlands. if somebody was in my sights i did'nt worry about there constitutional rights i just worried about my survival. thats something i've had to live with all these years.

This is all well and good, but you really make no sense. First you say that Islam is not a religion then you say that it does not stop at just being a religion. So, which is it, is it a religion or not?

What I said was that it is not religion in the conventional way we view a religion, meaning that it sees itself as a government as well. It does not separate between the two intstutions.

No, not really. Well it depends on who you talk to, if you mention that this "religion" persecuted Jews, suddenly it doesn't qualify as a religion anymore. So either the religion of Christianity perscuted the Jews and is accountable for that, or there was this governmental entity that persecuted the Jews but falsely called itself "Christian."

This is like saying there are two types of Christians, Protestants and Catholics. You over simplify it to where your statement is basically useless.

it's IRRELEVANT runninggator! it makes NO DIFFERENCE! not one person, regardless of what they think of muslims, is going to be able to stop hillary from doing whatever the beltway gives her clearance to do.

what IS relevant is that AMERICANS should be the recipients of ANY financial aid of any sort that is paid for by the taxpayers.
