Divorce Remarriage is it sin ?

Sorry but the history of the church stance is applicable as we are seeing if this is a modern change, and if our modern bibles are causing error.

I am mostly interested in the stance of the Church as a whole, and mostly from post dark ages till 1900`s. I dont think what individuals taught as very helpful to our study as it is from the Church and society as a whole that we will get a general consensus.

I do not mean this will prove anything by itself but it is part of it i think.

Any readers out there that can assist?.

I do hope you will post your own veiws seperatley on this thread but without quoting me as i think others could just evaluate them themselves.

If you do try to take up continual disputes with the the things i say, i forewarn you, i will consider it hounding and will appeal against this.

Now brother, dont try and say i wont recieve being challenged, as you are free to post your veiws, which i will read. And im not telling you cant post such and such, or where, only that if it becomes hounding i will appeal, the decision being the moderators.

My reason is that your large volumes of disputes, is not proving anything to me, and obscuring i think any chance of readers seeing the veiws of others.

He asked a simple question and you are being rude and defensive. It does not do much for your witness. If you are confident of your position and credentials, there is really no call for behaving in that fashion.

And yet it was 'ok' to start grilling me about credentials because I disagreed with OL's assertions ?

I wasnt being rude when I responded to OL in my first post to him. I was simply giving information. OL made the whole thing personal by seemingly requiring that I have a college degree or something in order to present my case agaist his statements. I find that quite unfair since I doubt that 99.9% of the membership has one nor has been asked to provide any...

Im not trying to be rude. I found OL's post to be making requirements of me that NO ONE else here has had demanded of them.

Are adminstrators here exempt from scrutiny when they get involved with a discussion. Colbalt ? If so I will do my best to overlook admin posts from this point forward.

First off, I was not grilling you about anything. I asked because the only thing that you have presented was information from a site that I know nothing about, nor about William, which appears to be you. So, as I do with everyone who "teaches", I check them out. It would be unwise to just accept anyones teachings.

And yes, I used the word state as in meaning how one is living, as in a state of denial. That is why I gave you pure scripture. If you don't agree with scripture, then I do have a problem with your teachings.

I presented the PLAIN teachings of Christ in my previous post...are you willing to respond to those PLAIN teachings or will you simply IGNORE them because there is no way around them without exposing your own poor study method ?

The PLAIN teaching of Christ:

Im sorry but you dont understand how forums like these work. Im not 'hounding' you by responding to your assertions and your threats say more than you know. Everyone here understands that ANYONE is permitted to respond to ANYONE elses posts...thats just how it works on forums like these.

Define 'hounding', poster...because the term seems to be a bit vague.

Within the RULES of this forum I will RESPOND to your posts and will ASK questions of those posts....if you refuse to respond that is your choice.

There are clear rules in place for this forum that the adminstrator has set in place. I have and will obey those rules to the best of my ability.

So you want to speak and no one who disagrees with you is permitted to respond and EXPLAIN their response. Again that says a lot. I welcome anything you or anyone else has to offer against my views. But then, I dont fear being proven wrong....

I would not be runung to a moderator if you reply to my veiws, thats your right, but if i see that you are deliberatley jamming a thread i start, i will appeal which is my right. Is this not how the boards work ? we are free to appeal ? I only forewarned you of my intentions, so it was not a surprise to you.
