So to answer your question, "Do I believe that Jesus is God?"  The answer is yes and no.  Jesus is God, but not The God.  The Father is "The God"

I do believe in the Father, the Son (I am, Jesus) and the Holy Spirit.  I do not beilive that they are one and the same, nor do I believe that they are equal.

If we can not agree at this level let me know.

Well Sam, I disagree with you. What you are saying in a nutshell is that Jesus is not equal to the Father....while He chose to be submissive while on earth - to become a man like us - yet He was & is still God....notice what Paul says -

Philippians 2:6-7

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Here we clearly see that Jesus, though fully God willingly became also a man for our sake. That does not make Him less...He thought it NOT robbery to be equal with God.

So I would ask you to clarify your position as to why you feel Jesus is not equal to God.

In HIM,

Bob

Was JESUS Lieing to us in this scripture?

John 14:

8 Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us." 9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?

5 For even if there are so-called gods whether in heaven or on earth, as indeed there are many gods and many lords, 6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.

In the scripture above how can paul say. "from whom are all things" after refering to GOD and then after refering to the LORD JESUS CHRIST?

If they are not one and the same and of the same spirit and the same nature?

Because the Father is not the "God" in the old testament that Moses saw and talked with. Jesus was "I Am" in the old testament in the image of God. They didn't know the Father.

Moses and Aaron and 70 of the elders of Israel saw the God of Israel, and marveled that they didn't die. Jesus said very plainly that no man has seen the Father..... only the Son. So it is not possible that the God of the old testament is "The God" that Jesus tells us about in the New Testament which is the Father. The Word in the first chapter of John is what Moses saw and interfaced with. Just as in Jesus day, the Father was working through the Son (or what the Son was before he set it aside to become a man.

Of course this is my personal thoughts and beliefs, I do not profess to be a prophet.

Hi,

I dont see God as three individuals as most christians tend to do. The bible says that God created man in his own image and likness. Therefore we are created like God. I dont view my own self as three individuals even thought I do have a Spirit, Soul and a Body just as God has a Spirit, Soul and Body which makes up one individual.

1Th 5:23 Now the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly: and your whole spirit, and soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This is how I view God.

Spirit = Holy Spirit

Soul = Father

Body= Jesus

These three make up one God not three indiviuals are three persons but one person. Just as my Spirit, Soul and Body make up one me not three of me. Remeber we are created in the image and likeness of God and God is one just as my spirit soul and body make up one me.

Maybe this scripture will help you out, if your not able to swallow this.

Isa 42:1 Behold my servant (Body/Jesus) whom I uphold, mine elect in whom my soul (Father) delighteth! I will put my Spirit (Holy Spirit) upon him; he shall bring forth judgment to the nations.

God is a triune being but not a three person being.

Jesus is the of embodiment of God. In Jesus dwelles the fullness of God. Jesus has a Spirit, a Soul and a Body. God does not have three Spirits three Souls or Three Bodies but one.

Col 2:9 For in him (Jesus) dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily;

God bless,

This scripture was being spoken to men who have a soul. Christ had a soul also made up of the dust of the ground (HIS body) and the SPIRIT of GOD. But in the beginning there was no one who created a body for GOD and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; to make him a living soul.

Ge 2:7

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

GOD is SPIRIT.

Joh 4:24

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

HE creates and removes when finished whatever form HE chooses to show himself. A burning bush A whirlwind ect.

Hi,

God does have a soul as quoted from the old testement in Isaiah.

When I read these verses and let them speak to me they are telling me that there are two seperate entities. That the Father and the Son are alike, and the father approves of the Son, but they are not the same thing. Two different but alike in their attributes.

The bible plainly states that all authority was given to the Son at his resurection. If they were the same thing that would not have to be done. It also says that when all has been conquered that the Son will be subject to the Father, as if ne were not subject to Him all along.

Can't be the same if these things had to happen.

Father, Son and Spirit exist but are not equal and not the same thing.

1 Tim 2:4-7

5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony borne at the proper time. 7 And for this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying) as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
