Has the gospel of the kingdom been preached to the whole world as a testimony?

No.

Posted

I don't think the verse is necessarily asking if every single person in every single nation has had a chance to hear the gospel presented to them. I think the gospel absolutely has gone into every nation for a testimony. It may not be the prevailing religion everywhere...and there certainly are places where they've not heard His name...but it's gone into the 4 corners of the world or it wouldn't be one of the largest "religions" on the planet.

So I say, yes it has....and we are at the end.

I hope you are right. I know i'm sure trying to make sure my lamp is full of oil. I agree with you about every single person but i would think that it has gone into every nation by now. 'And then the end will come'.

Jesus finished up a lecture with "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."

A question we should all know the answer to, and i don't. Has the gospel of the kingdom been preached to the whole world as a testimony?

Hello Fraught,

sign of the end of the age----the meaning of the word "age" means "world." As far as preaching the word in all nations, and then the end will come. Well since the ressurrection of Christ there has not been a generation yet that has been able to do it. And I do not believe they will be a generation that will do so.

I get this belief of mine from the book of Revelation that fits right in with what you are seeking I might add a few extra verses that will show you what the angels are doing at the end of the age.

Revelation 14:6,7---And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth and to every nation and kindred and tongue and people vs.7--Saying with a loud voice Fear God and give glory to him for the hour of his judgment is come and worship him that made heaven and earth and the sea and the fountains Read Matthew 24:31,32

Revelation 1:7

In the two verses above it plainly tells us that this one angel will fly in the air having the everlasting gospel to preach to all that are living on the earth every nation, kindred, tongue and people. Now you can see that this one angel has a message to proclaim, preaching the everlasting gospel and when this angel has done this to all that are living all over the world that then the gospel will be fulfilled in the verses that people are right now believing that man will be the one who will do this whenever it comes time but it will not be saints who brings this to past but an angel of the Lord and when the angel gets finished then shall the end come.

this is not too say that we shouldn't stop evangelizing because we should and have been sent forth to preach the gospel and teach the word making disciples of them. But there is nothing we can do to make the coming of the Lord take place. For it will be done supernaturally as this angel will usher it in.

Well I hope I have helped and have not been confusing.

yeah. i wasn't aware of that part and i'll look at it tomorrow. what i really want here is to know & not to speculate. if it hasn't been preached to all the nations, which nations exactly do not know of Jesus Christ? Surely, in this time, knowing all the nations, we should know which ones. Can you help with that question?

there are quite a few hundred "goyim/nations" as ethnic groups who have not heard of Him from missionary activity.

Wycliff Bible Translators could probably answer that specific question

I can imagine that there are regions deep within Muslim countries, in some enclaves, that they know not the salvation message. Preaching Christ in these countries is punishable by death.

yes, humans may not be able to go there but it doesn't stop the angels.

There are hundreds of accounts (if not thousands) where people in these impossible regions are being visited in their dreams. It's amazing how little God needs us...

Hi Fraught,

It is as Yod, and Parker1 has said, There are people who has never been visited and tribes of people that are not part of any nation who have not heard the gospel. Asia is a nation that is opposed to Christianity. But the best answer that I can give you is that if all the nations known or not known have all heard the gospel message then according to the way that people have been looking at the verse in Matthew when all nations of the earth has been heard the gospel then the end shall come but the fact that it hasn't happened yet is because the end hasn't come yet because if it was then that would be proof. God has said in his word that every tribe every nation and every tongue will all be reached as the angel goes forth.

I do realize that I am one of the few that believes differently than the most popular view that reaching all the nation is a sign of the end. I do not know if I answered you according to your expectation or not but to me it is all that the scripture shows and reveals to us that we must put our faith in and somethings never make sense but we still have to go by faith.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
