yes - we need all people who are responsible, honest and ready to take the heat and stand up for God's Word. People who have no hidden agendas and are not just political puppets. I have hope for our country - God is with us.

I would add Elizabeth Dole to the list.

I have not heard that name before. Perhaps he would have been more effective if he had been railing against them with someone present who may have been influenced by his arguments.

It does not much matter how many people there are if they refuse to listen and refuse to actually address the needs and wishes of the majority of the country instead of special interest lobbyists and their political cronies. We can see by their response to the Tiller killing exactly what is most important to them. Personal political agendas.

I don't know, Cobalt - if you are presenting credible information and persuasively articulate arguments for your cause - it would be best to address people who can make a difference rather than simply screaming at an empty gallery to be aired in the middle of the night to people with insomnia..

I wonder if anyone in DC has a non-personal/political agenda...? It is very discouraging sometimes.

About time these people found some courage and stoood up to the Left and this Administration. :emot-hug::noidea:

Unfortunately the Left's answer is that we haven't spent enough.

Anyone remember B-1 Bob Dornan? What a charecter, he would stay up all night and do floor motions on C-Span. There would be no one else in the whole Congress and he would rail, and rail all night long against the Left.

Whats your answer...have you tried writing any senator with your ideas?

My answer is responsible Leadership. If you have read any of my posts here of late you will see many answers. The problem is that the Politicians aren't listening and those who understand what needs to be done haven't yet found their fortitude. I believe the Tea Parties were a good start in beginning to take back our Nation.

I also pray daily that Barack Obama's policies fail and that America humbles herself and begins to pray so that God will hear our voice and heal our land. It starts with the Church because Judgement must and needs be begineth with the House of God. I pray for Righteous Leadership. :)

Job loss is a lagging indicator, you guys. Even though it looks like this thing might have bottomed out, we'll still feel job hits for at least a little while still. It really doesn't have anything to do with anything Obama has done thus far in office.

That is not the point. Obama claimed that if we went along with the stimulous bill and the bail outs, it would curb unemployment. We spent all that money we don't have and the unemployment rate continues to rise.

Because unemployment rate is a lagging indicator and will always be about six months behind the market no matter what you do. The stimulus plan was designed to a) tide us over to weather the storm and b) increase aggregate demand, thus strengthening the markets (by the way, the dollar is strengthening right now). Unemployment rates will lower as businesses catch up with the market (if it works, which for the intents of this explanation, I'm assuming it will). So it is very much the point that you can't use unemployment rates as a barometer - *yet*. It's just econ 101.

Another thing any economist would know is if you print money at too great of a rate, it will lead to inflation. I have already seen prices of goods increasing, and the buying power of the dollar is going to continue to drop. I also expect to see unemployment continue to increase into next year. You just said it lags for 6 months. That means that we should see the unemployment rate start dropping by the end of August or Obama's stimulous plan is a failure. I am willing to bet things will keep getting worse.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
