I was just at a meeting with a missionary to the mountains of either Central or South America named David Hogan (I think I spelled that right). He told us a really sweet story.

He showed us a picture of a young mother, either an Aztec or Incan Indian - I forget which - holding her baby son. He explained to us that she is his reason for living ("she" being representative of all the people he's evangelized to and brought to the Kingdom - he evangelizes to unreached tribes). While pregnant, here son got some kind of sickness and died in her womb. She then got sick. Four hours later, she too died while on the way to the hospital. At the hospital she was pronounced dead and put in the morg.

It took a few hours for the staff to fill out the forms. But during that time, he said a man entered that room. He then asked us if we wanted him to read the description of this man. We said, "Yes!" He said, "All right," and picked up a book. "He's right here in Revelation chapter 1!" He then read the description of Jesus given there. Then he explained that Jesus walked right up to her and her unborn son and said, "[Her name], I love you." And she came back to life!

She sprang up from the bed her body had been placed on - and the doctors ran! Well, she ran right after them because she needed there help as she immediately began to go into labor. Not long later, she gave birth to a healthy, living boy!

She kept the papers pronouncing her death and had showed them to D. Hogan, where he cried.

Isn't that a sweet story?

The funny thing is, he's used to people being raised from the dead. Seriously! He has prayed many people back to life, apparently (including his adopted son, whom he found dead in a garbage dump, and his baby granddaughter). What touched him about this story was that neither he nor any of the other pastors were there in that hospital to pray her back, but rather was just her and Jesus.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this.

Thanks Nebula...David Hogan is a friend of our pastor and has been to our Church in the UK....he has shared some unbelievable personal testimonies that would have many peoples eyeballs rolling in their heads and disrupting their tidy theological correctness...including numerous times when he has been used to raise people from the dead.

I remember a very moving example when he went to a couples house and the woman had the dead child in her arms. He took the child and asked them to leave the room and then proceeded to walk up and down rocking the child in his arms and praying for life...until he heard a cough and a splutter and life returned to the limp body and he then had the privilege of presenting the living child back to the arms of his over-joyed mother...Very moving...and very powerful.

There is another man who has an awesome testimony to the way G-d has used him...his name is Bill Wilson who looks after orphans and poor kids in New York..he does not seek the lime-light and not many have heard of him...but he too came to our Church and brought a humility and inner determination that one does not see very often these days...I am sure if you ask in the right places you can find out about his ministry...his assistant pastor was recently murdered and I expect they are on the look out for any other applicants.

We are having a four day conference at the end of this month...and the main reason I have signed up to it is to get to know and be under the teaching and ministry of Brother Yun..The "Heavenly Man" who has undergone such torture and persecution in China...and yet has been used in amazing ways to further the Kingdom of G-d...I can't wait to look into his eyes in the flesh...and to be able to give him a heartfelt bear-hug.

Heb 11:35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

Heb 11:36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:

Heb 11:37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

Heb 11:38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

Heb 11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

Heb 11:40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Yeah. How about just the kinds of encounters he's had with the witchdoctors! He didn't share these things last night, but I heard a tape from where he did share these things while speaking at a different church service.

Hint: what would you do if a witchdoctor walked through the walls of your home - yes, a witchdoctor really did walk through the walls of his home - and said, "Don't you dare come to my village!" ? Would you totally freak out? Or would you believe like David Hogan did that "greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world," unflinched, look at the man and say, "Well, let's go right now!"

(Testing - any eyeballs rolling?)

Wow! Thanks for sharing these, Botz! That is so-o-o-o cool!

This kind of stuff is where the Gospel of the Kingdom is really at, isn't it?

I think it is a real eye-opener when the kingdom of G-d is demonstrated in word and in power...especially in these days when there are so many critical spirits that get around G-ds people and spoil their faith and their testimony.

Yes some of the encounters that David has had with witch doctors almost beggar belief...I remember one where snakes grew out of a mans head...but I won't speak too much about what is not firsthand experience...(yet :o )

I think G-ds people want reality but have settled for entertainment in many instances..and many prominent ministries have sold out and settled for something far inferior to what they were called.

I love these words of the great Apostle Paul.

1Co 2:1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

1Co 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

1Co 2:3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

1Co 2:4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

1Co 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Praise God I would love to hear this man speak. That is a beautiful testimony of the power of God to raise the dead. I know that around the world there are christians now raising the dead. A pastor from ghana africa told me that where he lives, the christians were routinely raising the dead and they had to make a rule that anyone over 60 in the church who died, they would leave them in heaven. so they only raise the dead who die younger than 60 or so.

I also know that in Mozambique and Malawi there is revival like never before. thousands of churches have been started in villages that previously had no christians. And the dead are being raised and the sick healed.

this is also for us! I am believing God will move the same here as well. that He will give us a heart to do His will.

Hi, ILive4Him!

I found a couple web pages that might help.

http://www.fathersglory.com/insp/hogan1.htm

I like this line in there:

"If I was going to fake something [referring to "being slain in the Spirit"] I would not choose to do it on rocky ground in 110 degree heat."

(Shown with picture of people on the ground in the sun after being prayed over.)

http://fuegodedios.com/ <<-- "Recordings of Pastor David Hogan of Freedom Ministries preaching in churches around the world"

Hope this helps!

sadly, i would totally freak out. oh, how i long for the faith to let God use me however He wants! it makes me sick thinking about how many times He's given me the opportunity to increase my faith by obeying Him, but i chickened out.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
