 Yeah, I'm afraid we didn't help him any.

I agree. By reviewing his posts int his thread, it appears as if he was looking for confirmation to a plan instead of seriously seeking an answer to a question. Sure hope he comes back to clarify ...

By reviewing some of the answers given, he may have found that confirmation.

That thought had crossed my mind, but this user comes on only once in a great while. He came on for a very short time in 08 and now for this question. He also said that he didn't get much help here and that he was going back to his 20 year old friends for their wisdom.

The query was, as I recall, about suicides going to heaven. Suicide is self-murder, a sin in God's holy sight. However Jesus Christ died for all my sins, past, present & future. His blood makes the foulest clean. But, yes, all believers will stand at Jesus' Bema Seat Judgment re rewards, crowns, commissions & omissions.....not to elevate our salvation but to consider our works down in the body after we were saved. The Lord will settle our 'suicide decision' rebuking us, no doubt, for not trustiing Him fully. Romans 14:12 says "Every one of us shall give account of himself to God."

Once again, we come down to a question over theology. Those like A.D. believe that when we got saved, Jesus blood automatically covers all past, present and future sins. I believe that Jesus blood covers all past sins, and all unintentional present and future sins. I do not believe Jesus blood automatically covers all present and future wilful sins. If you read through the thread, this kind of dissagreement over interpretation changes the answer someone will get to the question asked in the OP. As such, the only correct answer is that the Bible doesn't tell us for sure, so it is best to trust God with our lives and wait until his timing to enter into eternity. I know that in my mind, suicide will lead to hell, while others dissagree. Nobody that I know of has been allowed to return to tell us their fate, whether they lost rewards or salvation, so in reality, only Jesus knows for sure.

Well... within the next couple months would be nice.

Unfortunately there isn't just a Q&A box you can drop a question in for God... and even a 0.000001% chance of being damned to eternity because I can't put up with 60 years of misery scares me.

Too bad drinking (or rather, getting drunk) and smoking pot is a sin, because none of the "legal" drugs have worked.

I'm still a bit conflicted about whether smoking weed is actually a sin, because technically it just alters your mood just like any legal antidepressant. Or if in that case using antidepressants are a sin.

To those who are wondering why the question was asked, perhaps this post can give us some idea?

Cerebrus, it is obvious to me that you need help. You are obviously going through a rough time right now. I would suggest you seek professional help from a psychiatrist. You also need spiritual help. Are you a member of a church? Do you have a minister you trust for guidance?

I have a great idea. How abouts everyone stop arguing, go share the Good News and leave the interpreting of someone elses' heart to God because He is the only one that can see our hearts. Paul says we must constantly examine ourselves, not "other people". You have a solid relationship with Christ? That's AWESOME! Now go be a part of the Great Commission.

Romans 6:14(KJV): For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

6:15: What then: shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace: God forbid.

Matthew 5:17 (KJV)

17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Luke 10:25-28 (KJV)

25And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

26He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

28And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

John 14:15 (KJV)

15If ye love me, keep my commandments.

What would be your answer to someone who asks you this question?

Colossians 4:5-6 (New King James Version)

Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

For me, the best answer would be, "I don't know".

But, we do know. I have brought scripture that tells us that only those who do the will of the Father will enter into the kingdom. Are you saying that you don't know if it is Gods will for one to continue to trust in Him? If you feel that the Fathers will is for one to take their life, show me scripture. I can tell you for sure that I have never read in scripture where God told anyone that He could not help them, so they might as well take their life and come on home. You will find scripture that will tell you to place your trust in Him and not in the circumstances they are going through.

Again, show me where it is Gods will for one to take their life.

Then this brings us back to the beginning. If we die is a sin that we know is sin, when will we have time to confess our sin and ask for forgiveness?

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Don't we do this once and for all when we get saved?

Gee whiz, Jesus doesn't forgive all our sins, past, present & future? Then He'll have to go on Calvary's Cross once more to wash away all the rest! This is what Roman Catholics teach: Jesus must be put back onto the Cross and re-sacrificed in each "sacrifice of a mass"!

Doesn't Hebrews 10 remind us that Jesus died once for our sins forever? "The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from - what's the next word? - all sin!" Amen & Hallelujah! Basically, all sins are wilfull actions against a holy God. I can't accept any person's view of an "incomplete forgiveness" by our miraculous, all-sufficient, once-for-all-time Savior.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
