My pastor used to say that "Earth is the worst hell that christians will experience, and the best heaven that non christians will experience". Of course, that's not to say that heaven or hell is on earth, but in comparison to our eternal destiny, earth can either feel like heaven or hell.

Well that's only partially true. Remember not everone that claims to be a christian will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. There are many that call themselves christians but yet chose to live a life of sin and rebellion their end will be much worse then unbelievers that never knew Christ.

2Pe 2:20-22 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. (21) For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. (22) What the true proverb says has happened to them: "The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire."

The implication was that my pastor was talking to the true christians. Nevertheless, it isnt theology, heaven and hell are not on this earth, it was just a comparison of our earthly and eternal lives for believers and non believers.

The answer about heaven i will explain it through Jesus parable of the wheat and weeds. Read Mattew 13:24-30

The field = the world

The wheat = God's children

The weeds = satan's children

Harvest time = Judgement day

wheat in the barn = heaven

weeds to be burnt = hell

satan and his angels and his followers will be burnt until they exist no more, they will be burnt to ashes, thereafter hell wont exist any longer.

The God will live with his people in the (barn) in the new heavens that will have descended from above to this very planet earth.

I rest my case.

May the almighty God bless you and be with you now and until the new heaven where we will live with him forever. AMEN.

The answer is contained in the Bible, read Revelation 20:9 it says that hell is here on earth.

I am not an expert about hell, the scripture is. Read Revelation 20:9 and come back to me.

hell is here on earth, read Revelation 20:9

hell is here on earth, Revelation 20:9

I rest my case.

Don't you need to have a case before you can rest it?

I have a question.

Does hell come to earth and leave again?

Hi Kopane Mabasa.

Not true. Hell is described in the Scriptures as "eternal punishment." There is nothing written in the Scriptures saying Satan or any one else there are burnt to ashes and the fires of Hell finally burning out?

The Lake of Fire, is the eternal Hell and perdition of wicked men, demons, fallen angels, and all rebellious creatures of all ages who have ever rebelled against God, and who have refused to repent when they could have.

It is called "The Gehenna of Fire" and is always translated Hell (Matt. 5:22, 29, 30; 10:28; 18:9; 23:15, 33; Mark 9:43-45, 47; Luke 12:5; James 3:6).

This prison is also called "the second death, which is the lake of fire" (Rev. 2:11; 20:6, 14).

This final Hell was prepared for the devil and all his angels (Matt. 25:41-46), and for all other rebells, and it is "ETERNAL" in duration (Rev. 14:9-14; 20:10-15; Isa. 66:22-24; Matt. 25:46).

Sin and death entered the world through one man

The wages of sin is death.

Thus, the punishment for sin is the grave.

Nothing more.

Hello Haz

There is also another fire, that was said would not be quenched also. It was the fire that destroyed Jerusalem: Jer 17:27But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

We can also find the same statement in Ez 20:47 And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein.

We know that those fires that did burn did go out, though it was said that the fire will not be quenched. The fire did the destruction that it was intended for and went out. The fire was not to be quenched until the destruction that it was to do was fulfilled.

Hell fire is also that type of place.. a place for the destruction of both the body and soul in hell. The saints of God are given eternal life... not the wicked... they are destroyed. Mt 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

How could the wicked be ashes under the souls of our feet if they burn forever?..... that would be impossible.

We can find hell fire mentioned in Mal 4:1-3, and the wicked being ashes under the souls of our feet. Mal 4:1-3 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up (destroyed body and soul), saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

God sent punishment to a nation whose angry did tear perpetually (did not stop). We can find that in Amos 1:11 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment] thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:

Man is the cruel one. God is not. If God is angry, and will not turn away punishment to a nation whose anger and wrath had no end (AM 1:11)... Then God's nature and caricature does the same very thing??? God is merciful. He created the wicked for the day of evil for their intended purpose, then to be destroyed.

Does any body knows where hell is ?

Just start in the state SEPARATED FROM GOD, take the exit to NEVER RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR, this should lead you to a sign with DEAD-END (arrows pointing left or right) turn either way, it will still bring you into the town of EVERLASTING..you will know you are at the right place, cause all the streets start with EVERLASTING...FIRE, PUNISHMENT, OUTER DARKNESS, DESTRUCTION, etc...jotful

The Bible says that only those that are responsible are to be judged, that God doesn't impart sin where there is darkness(no knowledge), so what about that?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
