World wide, in the past two years, how many teenage girls have been murdered by muslims for religious reasons

Blessings, Hunterpoet:

Not many people actually hear of the huge number of honor killings because the mainstream media doesn't publicize it for fear of offending islam. Not all are teen age. The number is unbelieveable. Scroll on this site

I concur, and as I stated, without trying I can remember four. Based on the information provided in the article that you linked any sane adult would seriously consider finding in favor of Rifqa just to be able to sleep nights.

If anyone here would like to help her -

Someone set up a website for her.

http://rifqabary.com/

I just watched the video posted "Any question about when she converted? Watch this..."

Wow! She really is an evangelist. :emot-handshake:

If only half of us could express our love for the Lord like that!

Blessings,

I saw those same videos and I thought the same, Neb. Rifqa is totally on fire for the Lord filled with the Holy Ghost. The Lord definitely is going to use her for His glory  Right now, though she is going through a testing and trial period and nothing can happen to her without the Lord allowing it. She also has some wonderful and faithful Christian supporters

They "met" on a Facebook group site. In case you don't know how Facebook is set up, people in a group will often accept each other as "Friends" (that's the name of the category that allows people to share private info with each other). There's nothing unusual about this - just as we establish relationships across ages, so they do on Facebook. If the pastors had their phone number listed for their "friends" to see, that could just well be how she got it.

I know how facebook works. I also know that facebook (and myspace) are a huge resource for online predators. Anyone with a tad of common sense sets their facebook to not accept minor's as friends. If you do accept minors as friends...give minors your phone number...facilitate the runaway of a minor...and hide a minor from state and federal authorities during a manhunt...thats an issue.

According to the Pastors...she asked for their phone number at some point during their year long friendship. And like any adult who meets a minor on the internet, they thought it was okay to do that...

Glad you liked it!

The difference being here, Axxman, which you would not know, because you are blinded by your political correct propaganda, is these websites show proof with credible sources in what they write, and Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch is a highly recognized and acclaimed expert on all facets of islam, whereas you haven't got a shred of evidence except your 'political correct propaganda' and diversionary tactics which is no evidence at all.

Maybe that's why you change the subject...and laugh at things that are not funny...use diversionary tactics... because you cannot even begin to defend what you have said. No one who has read the evidence presented would be laughing at such a serious matter nor could they come up with the ridiculous tripe you have contrived in your own mind  if they knew anything about islam and the truth in this case by reading the court transcripts and other very pertinent data that has been presented.

With that said, I am going to listen to that still small voice and obey "Avoid vain babblings." I Timothy 6:20

Just so ya know...i am not laughing at the situation. I am laughing at the things you keep saying. You make personal statements and talk like you are the only one who knows anything. I can either make light of it...or I can let it make me angry. I'm just trying to react lightly to your insults.

My "politically correct agenda" has actually more to do with right vs. wrong...than anything else. Whats more politically correct? Assuming all muslims are murderers...or the belief that people are innocent until proven guilty? Now I know that everything is some conspiracy against the USA and Christianity to you...but I can't help but side with the Consitution on this one. Although it is easy to jump on the bandwagon that judges people by the color of their skin and their beliefs...not!

I have heard "Joseph" speak in person, and I have heard Walid Shoebat speak in person. The security at this conference was extremely tight. Why? Because these men had turned away from satan's religion of islam and have embraced Christianity. My husband had a nice long conversation with Mr. Shoebat. In his book "God's War on Terror" he talks about honor killing and many other evils that islam embraces.

Whoever wants to can defend islam all they want, but it is a religion of satan (this is the opinion of Walid Shoebat). This girl has embraced Jesus and is now an infidel in the eyes of her family. Her life is in danger. She needs prayer, and her family needs pray because they, too, could embrace Jesus and be freed from their religion of evil.

I have been avoiding any posting on this thread and probably won't post any more. One more thing I will say, though, is that the more I learn and study about islam, the more I love Jesus.

You should feel free to post anytime. You actually make a good point! Islam IS a religion of Satan...as are all religions. Every religion created by man is used by Satan and NO ONE is defending a false religion. However...just because someone practices a false religion doesn't mean that we can assume they are a murderer.

I also liked how you said the more you studied Islam, the more you loved Jesus. I can testify to that. That is what led me to begin studying world religions and origins. Every religion I have studied has led me closer to Christ and has strengthened my faith immeasurably. Praise God!

a simple no would have sufficed.

I asked you an honest question in a dignified manner and you respond with that lame looking down your nose arrogant rant.

World wide how many abortion providers have been killed in the last two years by Christians...I can think of one.

World wide, in the past two years, how many teenage girls have been murdered by muslims for religious reasons, without trying I can think of three, four if you count the girl who was stoned to death when she reported being raped.

Given the prevalence within the muslim community I should think you would at least give Rifqa the benefit of the doubt. Wheres the harm in erring on the side of caution? The girl will be 18 soon enough, at which point the courts and her family will have no say...why not wait it out.

Hunterpoet...I'm not exactly looking down my nose "ranting" at anybody. I'm sorry you took my reply that way.

The overwhelming prevalence in the muslim community is that NOBODY gets killed for being a bad muslim. Have muslims done violence? Yes, they have...but so have Christians, Catholis, Jews, Mormons, etc... Lets say my daughter and her friend next door decide to become Muslims. The dad next door freaks out and kills his daughter. SO my daughter runs away from home because she thinks she is gonna get killed too. Is that how we decide justice, or guilt, in this country now? I just don't think its right.

BTW...erring on the side of caution is right. NOBODY...not me, not the courts, not Rifqa's parents...nobody is suggesting that Rifqa go right back into her home. She should be sent back to Ohio...away from the family that lured her away...and be placed into a situation where she and the family can communicate. The family...which has broken NO law...are citizens and should be treated like it.

Thats almost as fair as me posting every person who claimed to be a christian, who murdered someone...and saying they did it because they are christians. Believe it or not...but domestic violence, murder, even child molestation happens in the muslim community too.

Yeah - it's bad enough when the world takes a stand against Christians. It's worse when Christians side with the world against other Christians.

I am NOT standing against Christians. I am standing against people who are not willing to defend the Constitutional rights of the parents who have done NOTHING wrong and have no evidence against them. I can't help but imagine that you would all be on my side in this thing if it was a Christian family who lost their daughter to some Muslim group, or fundamentalist Mormon group, or was tucked away in some Scientologist compound...

Why do you keep bringing up the name of someone who has no bearing on this subject or thread?

I wasn't aware that there was a "No examples" rule in effect for this thread. You might be aware that using examples or parallels helps others gain an insight into how or why another person has formulated their position. One of most useful forms of debate is to use examples of whatever it is we're talking about. It is also one of the most common forms of discourse and we use it constantly, even in the most informal discussions. Ask people what they mean, and they will surely answer with an example, an illustration. This is pretty basic knowledge for anyone who has taken a basic grammar or writing course.

It's clear by your posts that you know nothing about the religion of Islam. You might want to do a little research before posting again.

Now see...its this type of personal attack that is getting tiresome. You see, I am not prideful enough to assume that you lack knowledge about the religion of Islam...because with my luck you'd turn out to be one of my professors...or my professors professor...and I'd look pretty silly. So, I try to assume that you are just as studied as I am, but clearly have a different point of view. That way I don't feel the need to personally insult you, or make completely off the mark assumptions about you. I would appreciate it if you could please apply the same level of respect to me.

Muslims do not assimilate into the culture when they move to another country. They change it internally to fit them, as we see in Great Britian and France. I notice you didn't address that point, because it's one you can't refute. So you keep throwing Scott Roeder's name in the mix, because you are unable to deal with the truth of what we say. It doesn't fit your preconceived beliefs. I've seen you take some bad positions before, but I think you have out-done yourself on this one.

I would say MOST people don't fully assimililate when they move to a new country. They try to hold onto the good things that they remember, and a culture they represent. There are multiple studies on this (of which I have only scanned)...but I would say what makes America unique is that you don't need to be totally assimilated in order to be American. This is a whole 'nother topic though. The fact that you wish to project Britain or France (as examples btw  ) has little bearing on American freedoms. Similarities maybe...but still different. I'm not exactly sure what you want Muslims to do when they move to America? Give up on their beliefs? Maybe stop trying to win converts? Maybe if they just altered their prayer schedule to show a little compromise? What is a muslim required to do for you to assimiliate?

Yes, I've taken some contrary postions before...but we can't all "go with the flow" just so people like us more. I don't base my opinions on how many people will like me later.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
