Glenn Beck is a Mormon. 'Nuff said.

a.

so, what has being a mormon have to do with anything?

I know people who are Born Again Catholics, Born Again Pentecostals, Born again Baptist, Born Again Mormons, Born Again Presbyterians, Born Again Methodist, so forth and so on......

I also know who are not Born again and are Catholics, Pentecostals, Baptist, Mormon, Presbys, Methodist, so forth and so on......

what you have just implied is that a muslim is better in the office then a mormon.....

This video doesn't teach, it doesn't inform. It was designed to pursuade. Propaganda in it's purest form.

In case anyone needs any more proof that John McCain was the WRONG choice for a candidate.....read the words of Glenn Beck. I happen to agree with him, btw. I still don't understand how McCain got the nomination....so much for the oft-repeated 'hold your nose and vote' thing. This is what we get....a wishy washy candidate who couldn't fire up a crowd with a flame thrower! And a total takeover by Pelosi and friends.

McCain was way down on my list of GOP candidate, but there is no way he would have been worse for the country than Obama. The only way anyone could have been worse is if they were an unapologetic communist. I believe Obama is a communist, but he doesn't want anyone to know it. McCain was a bad choice to be the Republican candidate, and there are scenerios whereby I could see myself voting against him, but not the way things went down. I believe Palin would have had a positive effect on him, pulling him somewhat to the right. I know he hasn't been a huge defender of Palin's since the election, but had his ticket won, things would have been differen't. In addition to that, he wouldn't have pushed for this massive take over of the health care system, or have allowed spending to get as out of control as Obama has. McCain wouldn't have made the kind of stupid apologies for this nation to the U.N. Obama did. McCain would have taken dicisive action with regard to Afghanistan, rather than leaving the troops vulnerable while they wait and see if help is on the way.

McCain has done a lot of things over the years I dissagree with, and had the Democrats nominated Hillary Clinton instead of Obama, and had McCain chosen a liberal running mate like Leiberman or Colin Powell, I would have possibly voted for Bob Barr, but there is no way I would have voted for Hillary Clinton. Had it been McCain and a moderate or liberal running mate verses Obama, I am unsure what I would have done. I might have considered Barr on the idea that McCain was showing us he was going to govern as a liberal, but considering the danger the left-wing radical Obama posed, and I might add, still does, I might have gone into hold my nose mode and still voted for McCain.

I like a lot of things about Glenn Beck, but I believe he is dead wrong on this. If I was given the same choice again of McCain/Palin or Obama/Biden, I would still vote for McCain/Palin. Had it been McCain/Leiberman or something like that, in hind site I would still have had to choose McCain because Obama is destroying this country. Had it been McCain/Leiberman verses Hillary Clinton, I probably would vote for Bob Barr because the difference would not have been as great.

The title of this thread is Glenn Beck. Keep in mind that Glenn is part of the entertainment industry.

Right; that IS the title of the thread. He is an entertainer, more or less, but I was pointing to the fact that an extreme conservative like Glenn Beck is now saying he wouldn't have voted for McCain if Hillary Clinton had been nominated. Too bad he didn't say that a year ago.

He did

He never talks about his religion and it makes no difference. He is outing Obama and his radical, racist, socialist cronies. That is what matters, not that he is a Mormon. We can't witness to him, so let's just listen and learn from him.

Actually a good part of what he says is rooted in mormon theology.

Grace to you,

We talked about this before. If one wants to understand Glenn Beck more clearly one needs to look into Mormon Theology and the White Horse Propechy.

Is his being a Mormon a reason to not listen to him? Nope!

He is a Conservative, in the areas where we agree, I can support him. I also believe he is a driving force behind the Tea Party Movements and the 9/12'ers.

I always listen to him very carefully though. With a very clear understanding of where he's coming from. To understand where he's coming from you must understand what is at his core and what his focus is.

I ran into some Lynden LaRouchites recently. I agreed with some of the stuff that they were promoting in opposition to Obama, however, I would not give them the time of day and steered way clear of them because they adhere to LaRouche.

Peace,

Dave

Well, I'm just going to be straight up with my thoughts and feelings and say -

I absolutely cannot believe you are in support of this film.

Well both of you can dust off your reading specs and read it again - I do NOT agree with a lot of what is said, but I don't believe it is some insidious plot to undermine capitalism either and what I said was:

While I do not agree with much of Ms. Leonard's portrayal of capitalism - she does present some critical points with clarity.

And she does, imo. So don't put words in my mouth Nebula - You're entitled to your opinions as others are entitled to theirs. Yeah, after what has happened with our economy in the last 2 -3 years - huge corporations are pretty synonymous with greed. If the film has no value - and it really has very little - what is Beck and company so upset with? I doubt seriously if the middle and high school students who have been viewing it for the last 2 years even remember it.

We like to listen to someone that agrees with us. There are many Glenn Blecks around the world that are now on tv instead of the newspaper. One has to take note of the stories which are exposed , for how long and how they disappear. The critiscism is now focused on Obama administration as it is the goverment. Our votes dont go the ones which hurt our living but to the ones that make our lives easier. Matthitjah said it right

Blessings

I did read what you wrote.

What comes across is that it doesn't bother you to have the lies being mixed in with the truth.

"She does present some critical points with clarity," sounds like you are cheering those points being presented enough that it's OK for the stuff you don't agree with to slide by.

What also comes across is that you are OK with this film being shown in the schools.

Yeah, after what has happened with our economy in the last 2 -3 years - huge corporations are pretty synonymous with greed.

Huge corporations were only part of the problem. Government screwed up, too.

And so did Acorn with the help of then Lawyer Obama - who blocked a reform bill that would have clamped down on Freddie and Fannie Mae, which could have helped prevent the collapse from happening.

If the film has no value - and it really has very little - what is Beck and company so upset with?

Are you sure it is not influencing the perception of the children watching it?

I doubt seriously if the middle and high school students who have been viewing it for the last 2 years even remember it.

Are you sure? It's amazing the things you remember from school. I remember some pretty interesting movies and presentations. And I remember the influences those things had on me.

And I also wonder how you know it is only middle and high school students that this is shown to?
