The victims are also Muslims.

And the perpetrators are Muslims - Arab Muslims to be specific - racist Arab Muslims.

Can you handle that?

I'm well aware of that. Why do you think it should be something I would deny? I'm very aware of the nastiness of the Khartoum regime and the disaters in Dahrfour and in the South of Sudan, and their support of the barbaric "Lord's Resistance Army" in Uganda.

It appalls me that western countries are not moving in and stopping this. We all deplore racism and genocide and yet there are people being systematically eliminated because they are black. And, of course, once again the perpetrators of this carnage are muslim (the true Neo-Nazis). It's been going on for, what? Ten years or so? How is this any different from the eradication of Jews from Europe sixty five years ago?

The victims are also Muslims. As to Nazis and neo-Nazis well the real Nazis were from a "Christian" country (don't forget we have a Pope who is a former Hitler youth member) and the Neo-Nazs where I live (the BNP) also spend their time waving crosses and attacking Muslims, Jews and anybody with dark skin. Evil doesn't respect denominational/sectarian/religious boundaries

No one is disputing that the victims are muslim. The point is that they are black and this is why they are being killed. It's curious that a supposed Christian consistently posts anti-Christian rhetoric. Unless, of course, you're posing as a Christian to further your views on a Christian board. :whistling:

As a Christian I'm appalled by what has been done and continues to be done in the name of Jesus. I think it needs to be highlighted and renounced, not covered up for or apologised for. We need to stand alongside the victims of violence and hat in a non-selective way, not join the chorus of hate. "Muslims" are not automatically evil anymore than "Christians" are, they are not all "Neo-Nazis".

The Nazis of two generations ago, and the muslims of today, have the same agenda, amor. Exactly what is being done 'in the name of Jesus' in 2009 that is so appalling to you?

Because you were more interested in jabbing at Christians than you were expressing any form of displeasure at the oppressors in Darfur.

Oh yawn yawn! we should only highlight certain aspects of the nastiness Sudanese regime then. I don't accept that that has any validity at all. Here's a link to ann article on the vile LRA and its links with the Sudanese government.

And presumably we should turn a blind eye to nastiness close at home and instead focus on finding fault in others. We need to always look at ourselves.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye

:whistling: The Lord's Resistance Army?

"Travel the Road" had an episode that spoke of that group as well. They are as demonic as they get.

I don't know who their "lord" is, but it sure isn't Jesus.

I've heard of this movement before. They are Christians, some of them, but it's not a Christian radical movement. Their aims are political. What is the purpose of even posting this? The people on the ground in Darfur and surrounding areas are witness to the fact that it's the Janjaweed who are carrying out the genocide. You seem to be trying to minimize the fact that this is a muslim crime against humanity. Why?

Then why don't you focus on the evil in your own home instead of across the Atlantic Ocean? :whistling:

Goodness gravy, amor! Are we supposed to bury our heads in the sand to the evils in the world?

Really, I didn't post this to be Muslim-bashing. Nor to get into a debate about who is more evil in this world.

I posted this because this episode had a deep impact on me. We should be on our knees in intercession for these things going on in Africa.

And what do you do? Tell us to leave them bleeding on the side of the road?

 Says who? How in Heaven or Earth could anyone who follows Jesus join themselves with such evil?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
