I don't know why the evolutionists keep trying to prove an unprovable theory, one would think by now, with all the information we gave them, to de-bunk evolution, you think they would turn and repent. Con-Science, Hal, lurker, Since evolution has been debunked the only thing left is creation. it's not rocket science

Wow. I have to say if evolution was de-bunked we might have heard about it. Maybe a small newspaper headline, or maybe a bit on the radio. No. Oh well, they must just not announce big events like that anymore.

Well; when the same people who have conspired to over through Christianity, have bought the major news organizations, and control the Education in this country, yup I'd say your not going to hear much about it.

No it is not my "personal" interpretation. Interpretation isn't, by nature, personal nor subjective. Jesus IS coming back to earth. That is Bible 101. The Bible teaches the bodily return of Jesus to the earth. To reject that is to call God a liar.

Its a self-fulfilling prophecy. Those who believe (and want) Jesus to return will be ecstatic about the end times (and in turn do what they can to hasten it). Its not magic, its not a prophecy come true, its not a miracle, its not Judgement Day...its self-fulfilling. Those who (strongly) believe the world will end (soon) and that they'll be whisked away to heaven support nuclear wars, genocide, apartheid, poverty, AIDS, "ethnic" cleansing, religious cleansing, etc because they all contribute to the end times and the second coming of Jesus. Its disgusting.

Not true; How sad it is to believe such a lie. The truth is even though I'm looking forward to the coming of Jesus, and my heart is filled with Joy because of this.

It gives me no pleasure at all to see anyone suffer.

This thread has descended into the usual name calling and oneupsmanship; can we get back to the topic?

Do you understand what an ignorant post looks like? If not reread your last blather. Do you ever say anything intelligent?

Do you ever stop insulting people because your large ego needs to feed itself so often that putting others down is the only way to do it? Don't bother answering, its a rhetorical question.

The fact of the matter is, religious fundamentalism will destroy our world and the ones who believe this will happen soon support it. Why wouldn't they? The sooner Jesus comes, the sooner you'll all be basking in heavenly glory. You have absolutely no reason to help. There are Christians who support nuclear war (to "save" Israel). There are those who believe the "war on terror" is a Holy War. When two ideologies go head to head, especially in this day and age, we're all screwed.

First off Chris; I want to apologize for the comment I made earlier; it was uncalled for, Some times I get a bit frustrated with this discussion.

I can tell you that I would be ok, if Jesus put off His coming back, so that we could get that one last soul, that needed to hear the gospel.

Wow Chris you are very wrong - religious fundentalism of one form or another is what this nation is founded on- this supposed holy war you talk of is defending innocents against Muslim extremists who even kill there own people and deny basic human rights to women and children- this deeply rooted mysogyny is one thing Christianity seeks to eradicate and if the

only way to protect humanity is to destroy these evil doers then in my opinion it is the only choice.

What?!? The founding fathers were secularists and believed in the separation of church and state. Religious fundmentalism is what they didn't want.

This "Holy War" is trying to eradicate one ideology in place of another. It kills innocents. It takes revenge. And its stupid and ill-advised.

The problem is the "evil doers" are not a universal group that everyone agrees are evil. As soon as Christianity starts calling the shots with who is considered evil and who is not, we're all screwed (again). But we already are. It'll be for religious reasons the first time a nuclear bomb is set off.

What!! You don't see how Christians are persecuted in this and other countries and set back and take it, and don't say a thing? What planet do live on.

I can tell you that I would be ok, if Jesus put off His coming back, so that we could get that one last soul, that needed to hear the gospel.

So, okay now what I want to know is does it say specifically in the Bible when Jesus is supposed to come? Does something need to happen first?

Well To answer you're first question, The rapture is the next thing that is on the schedule, there are no signs specific signs for this. However a lot prophecy in the bible is currently being fulfilled or has been fulfilled; So because of this we know that the time is near.

Here are some major things that tip us off.

1. when it close to the end Israel will once again become a nation; this happened May 15, 1947 or 1948

Ezek 36:24 (NASB)

24 "For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands and bring you into your own land

Ezek 37:12 (NASB)12 "Therefore prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God, "Behold, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, My people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel.

1 Thess 4:13-18 (NASB)

2. The rapture: In this Jesus will not actually touch the ground but will call all saints up to heaven for 7 years; while those here who did not believe, will remain on earth to face

7 years of horrible tribulations; Earth quakes, famines, wars, death. darkness.

13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout , with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

3. then in the book of revelation after chapter 4: God focuses back on Israel, the church is in heaven. Then after 7 years Christ comes back, and sets up His one thousand years reign.

Christians persecuted in America? I don't think so. After all, the "American Taliban" is ever present in politics.

Well; first off some people have a different definition for the word persecution; Some people believe that it is only when you are getting killed for your faith. However let's look at the Merriam Websters definition of persecution.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
