I would never deny Christ or participate in worship that denies Him.

Well, don't the Jews that worship in synagogue deny Christ?

Yes, most of them. I doubt their worship will actively deny Christ though.

My friend and I talk very openly. He has assured me that it's ok to go, but if I blow my trumpet I won't get a welcoming party. Same with anywhere I guess.

How well do you know this friend? Yes, you are going to do as you wish but well, just be careful and do not blow your trumpet lol

I've known him since 2004.

But we can never participate with non-believers in religious observances that DENY CHRIST. This is about what we do not about what other non-believers do.
So do you think Jews sit around in their services, chanting "We deny Christ, we deny Christ, we deny Christ...?

haha, no I don't.

I have visited the local synagogue we have here, it is a very small group but I met the rabbi through work, he is a really nice guy. But I don't worship with them; that is all I am saying.

We need to be true to who we are. When we worship with people who do not believe in Christ as Lord we are partaking of something that we should not partake of. When we pray with people who are not praying to Christ and through Christ we are indeed denying Christ.

I would never go to a synagogue and act like an *** or act arrogantly, if I was invited to speak about Christ and what Christians believe I would certainly go and do that, but I cannot deny what I believe by pretending we are of the same faith and pretending that we are praying together in the same way, we are not thus I cannot worship with those who practice Judaism. They are not praying to Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That is what I mean when I say they are worshipping a different God, maybe a more accurate term is that they don

Smalcald, forgive me for my otherwise ignorance in our Faith but do we pray to Christ?

I thought we pray to God and ask in His Son's name?

Hi JamiLea, we do both. Our belief is that Christ is God so when we pray to God we are praying to the Father Son and Holy Spirit, as those three are one and the same. When those who don't believe that Christ is God and equal to God pray to God they are not not praying to the same conception of God that we are at all.

Andy is only going to learn, so this all a nonissue.

Go, enjoy, praise God and learn. Where's the harm in that?

Blessings, Nebula

It took me awhile to understand and grasp the idea and come right out and say that Judaism has rejected God. But God himself has said this in the OT through His prophets. Apostate Jews in the OT just called their god a different name; for instance Baalim and Ashtaroth. Now, Judaism calls their god G-d, and claim that he is the same God as the OT God. Of course, we know as Bible believing Christians, this is not true. Salvation in the OT as well as the NT was/is entirely by faith. Look at all of those who believed by faith in Hebrews 11:13

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them , and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Old Testament believers believed, and this is what set them apart from unbelievers. Simple isn't it?

Never-the-less, they have rejected the one who loves them and chose them. Note: I am not talking about the restored Jews-- that is a different topic entirely.

Jews practicing Judaism are not saved because they do not have a saving faith. They are not waiting for or believing in the Messiah we know as Jesus/Yeshua, but a messiah. They are not waiting for a redeemer, but they are waiting for and believing for earthly restoration. They are believing in righteousness by keeping the Law. But Bible believing Christians know that Jesus fulfilled the law of the prophets.

I believe once we acknowledge this we will be in a better position to pray for the salvation of our Jewish brothers and sisters.

Do you mean to tell me that Jesus is not going to fulfill those prophetic Scriptures? That He isn't going to fulfill those things they are looking forward to?

What difference does it make if the Jews are not looking for Jesus, but are looking for someone else, who is a false messiah? The point here, again, is Judaism is a false religion. They are looking for

Praise God? Do you mean praising Jesus, the Holy Spirit? Because that praise is NOT done there, so who is being praised if we are not praising Jesus? This is the problem. If it is truly an education session about Judaism sure that is fine as long as it is not joint worship we cannot worship with those who are not Christian, we just can't.

Certainly if andy is going to an education session about Judaism held at a synagogue this would be very informative. Just to be totally open I have done that and it was very interesting it really did help me understand the large differences AND commonality in our two different faiths and it was done with respect.

But we cannot attend worship we simply have to be true to Christ.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
