Please don't think I'm going off the deep end here, I just want to here the thoughts of others on this topic. Most of the dreams we have we don't remember or soon forget, but sometimes we have a dream that we can't forget or it seems so real. Well I had one of those dreams about a month ago and I only told one other person about it, now I'm telling people I never knew but you are brother and sisters in Christ.

Well here it goes, OldZimm's Dream. I dreamed that I was floating in air at a funeral, I looked into the coffin and I saw myself lying there (it felt so real). The strange thing is I looked so young in that coffin, like I was in my twenties with no gray hair (if you look at my profile pic there is nothing but gray and white hair). Next thing I knew, I was in an army fighting Satan. That's when I woke up sorta in shock because it seemed so real. If somebody were to ask me "what are you going to be doing after you die?", I feel like saying I know exactly what I will be doing.

Well there you have it, was it just a dream or was God showing me the future? What do you readers make of this dream? Believe me I'm not going off the deep end, it just seemed so real that I can't get it out of my mind. :whistling:

Here is the interpretation of your dream.

This dream is from God, he is showing you the past and the future.

At one point in time in your life when you were younger you were in a situation that you could have been killed or you thought you were goingt ot or could die.

So you prayed to God that if he would protect you and keep you safe from getting killed or dying you would do this or that for him. In other words you made a vow to him.

He took you up on your prayer and kept you from getting killed or dying.

He is telling you

the remainder of the balance is now due.

And he is going to collect.

Who is the Lord, and what is His name, that gives you the interpretations that you have brought forward?

Well TillmanCt I thank you for your response and your interpretation of my dream, I never had a near death experience at a young age or though out my life thus far. Yes I have been in places where there was more of a risk then other times and no guarantees I would see the next sunset. But then can any of us know for sure if we are going to see the next sunrise or sunset? I can agree with you on saying the "The balance is due and he is going to collect", we all have a balance due because we owe Jesus so much and someday there is going to be a collection, some will like it and some will not.

Now I posted my original post above, I'm going to tell my interpretation and I had better then thirty days to think about the dream. There is one person that interpreted the dream the same as I did and it was Nebula. I thank everyone for their own interpretations.

The dream was of my past, present and up until God calls me home.

Seeing myself in a coffin looking very young was the age my old self died and I was reborn again in Christ.

Seeing myself in an army fighting satan is the battle I've had since my rebirth in Christ and I will continue to have till God calls me home.

I think what threw some off is the word "army", we as Christians are one body in Christ and together we are fighting satan, we are that army. In so long as we remain united in Christ, give each other support and hold each other accountable, satan will have a hard time battling us. When one strays from the flock that is when one becomes easy prey for satan.

and retired from the Army 2005 thinking I took part in my last war. Now to find out the biggest war is yet to come,

The problem is I'm not ready for this war yet and I must train more

Brother the only thing needed from you and I is to trust in Jesus, He alone will deal with the enemy during this war... and He gives us the victory. We just follow our King on our horses and receive the victory won by Him. Oh how much He loves us!

Revelation 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF Lords.

Revelation 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Revelation 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

All done by the Word spoken from His mouth. :th_praying:

As far as I understand oldzimm had NO near death experience at a young age....hence NO vow was ever made under those cicumstances...

Come on Mr Tillman surely you could of ask me a tougher Question then that? As you have read in prior post I was in a war recently, as anyone can tell you who has been to war "God is no stranger" and praying is not in short supply. Now what did I pray for when I was in the sandbox, normally I would say what a man prays about in such an event is between him and God. Since you feel you are within that realm I will tell you, I know four things I prayed for everyday I was there.

1. To watch over and keep my Family safe in my absents.

2. To have the war over as soon as possible.

3. To help me lead my men to the best of my ability.

4. If it is his (God) will, to bring my men and me safely back to our families.

(three out of four isn't bad)

The only vows I can ever recall making in front of God were 36 years ago when I married my wife. I also testified to my belief and accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as my savior as a young man in my teens, just two months ago I renew my testimony of my faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized again.

Now Mr Tillman if you don't mind telling me, what was the vow you made and to whom?

Yes, I do believe that God is showing His people what is about to take place, so

that we can be a wittness and a watchmen on the wall!

I too have had dreams and vision, even when I was awake

and aware of my surrounding, I wasn't afraid, I was in

complete peace while He was showing me!

I've even wrote a song of one of the dreams

He showed me!

It doesn't matter what anyone thinks if they believe or not,

God can either keep them sealed, or He can reveal them,

remeber, He is GOD! He Can Do What He Knows Is Right

For The Time Needed! TY, GBU..

I don't know whether god talk to us in dream or not as I have never experienced any such things. But the Bible gives several instances where God spoke through a dream.God tell Joseph in a dream that an attempt on the baby Jesus' life would be made, so therefore, he should take the baby to Egypt.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
