Well, I don't always agree with the action the mods take, but oftentimes I do. Rather, most of the time I do.

I have found that they have been consistently fair and well-tempered (except for Bob, j/k :) )

BTW I have been friends and still am friends with Lisa McDanial aka reflectionsofHim aka truthrevealer. I support her, love her as my sister in christ and believe her.

Why would this thread be deleted Calamity? It is a good discussion! It is NEVER a problem questioning one's reasoning as long as it is done with a gentle and kind spirit. I mean, even Peter's disciples questioned his judgement when he returned from Cornelius' household. [Acts chapter 11] They asked and Peter responded in kind.

Here is my take on the issue. You are 100% correct. It is not the same...but neither are we sister. We are either growing in the Spirit or we are going nowhere. We who have unveiled faces are being transformed daily into the likeness of Christ. [2 Cor 3:18] There is always room for discussion but there is never room for silly arguement, which always result in personal attacks and feelings that get hurt.

Lately, I have been drawn to James chapter 3 and it seems that we should all look to heaven for our understanding and wisdom. The wisdom that comes from heaven is pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. The word says that peacmakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness! [James 3:17,18]

So what are we here for?

1st --- reach the lost!

2nd --- encourage one another in the Lord.

3rd --- grow in understanding and righteousness.

We can still discuss and even debate most any issue until it begins to reflect poorly on HIM and ourselves. IF all of us would just take a deep breath and respond in accordance with the Spirit [Galatians 5, James 3], there would be many less threads locked or deleted.

One more consideration. We usually take action after we have seen multiple reports from someone who was hurt by another's words. We really depend on all of y'all to help us monitor the boards and I appreciate your participation.

Be Blessed,

Wayne

Wherever you have people, you have conflict :) I've been a member of another christian discussion board for over 2 years and I see this same kind of topic every now and then. I think alot of it has to do with growth. As the number of ppl posting increases, sometimes there's less of a "connection" felt, and sometimes less of an effort is made to welcome new ppl by the older "veteran" members. It's good to grow, but if growth happens quickly (as it can on a message board) it's hard to get to know eachother and understand someone's background, or why they have the opinions and attitudes that they may have.

Who knows, maybe it's because I'm here that so many topics are closed..lol. I'm kind of a passionate person and can tend to get carried away. I think debate is very healthy, even conflict can be healthy (in my opinion). Sometimes I think moderators (in general, not just here) could facilitate resolution inside a topic instead of closing them. I understand if something is becoming very heated and angry, it should be closed. But oftentimes I see things closed simply because a disagreement is taking place. This, I don't understand. Iron sharpens iron and I think that might sometimes include a few sparks ;) I think it's good to challenge eachother if it's done respectfully. When things get out of hand, then correction can take place or a gentle reminder to post in love.

Overall though, every board has it's guidelines and those set up in authority to operate it. When we disagree with what they do I think it's usually best to address it in private but to also remember being here (or wherever) is a priviledge, not a right. If we can't agree to their boundaries it's probably best we join another board. But I certainly understand where you're coming from on the frustration with closed topics. Moderators just have to do the best they can.

Maybe if something is closed that we wanted to continue discussing we can get permission to re-open it as another topic? Or word it and approach it differently? I dunno...I'm just trying to think of a solution...

Grace to you all,

I will try to be balanced here.

Since we are being blunt?

What really is the problem? There is an under current here. I can feel it.

This Board's nature has changed for sure. I have been here for 3 years now. As a Mod and as a Member.

The other night Bob and I stayed on for nearly 3 hours and endured an assault from the most vile and reprehensible individual I have yet seen here. He even masqueraded as a woman quite successfully.

My obeservations are this. The Ministry really has been under assault since George moved to Israel. Now go figure? The Ministry forever changed as the Ministry took to the front lines in the Spiritual battle for souls. Jerusalem is front lines on the Battle ground. The whole world is burdened with her right now. They cut themselves to pieces trying to cast her off. This battle has actually sharpened my perception and made me seek to be ever in the Word. I need the Lord's presence in my life to begin to even start to Moderate here.

This also is part and parcel to the times in which we are even now living. Which we have been forewarned to watch for and to not let our Love grow cold. We must cling to the Lord. Either that or we will fade away.

Have you folks ever just watched the board stats ? Do it one night around 9:00 PM ( Eastern Time ).....one night there musta been 45 or 50 VISITORS! Not to mention the 45 or so registered members. That's 45 searching souls people! What kind of impression do we want to give here ? A Kingdom united or a kingdom divided ?

There's more to it than an impression, or putting on an impression. Not everyone agrees on every single issue, and that's not always bad. It can be bad, for sure, and ya'll handle those very efficiently. But, if conversation is stifled, when it's not really ugly, I'd have to say that's showing "false" unity, for the sake of "how it looks" to others. Even if a false teaching comes on board, there are people who like to contend for the faith, at least up to a point. I stop when I feel the person is not responsive. Conformity or uniformity - rather than real unity maybe? But it looks good on the outside. I don't believe in "the end justifies the means". Christians are real people, each individual is different, and there are different views and opinions that need to be represented, not uniformity on all topics.

Overall, this is a good moderated board, but lately something seems to have changed. Like I said before, maybe it's just me.

I think eric said it very well, in a few choice words:

eric:

If you just puff, you'll blow the chaff away. If you blow too hard you'll blow some of the wheat away as well. So be careful and and make sure you just get rid of the chaff.  if you get my drift.

That is a good point...I think that we need to understand spiritual authority here. The mods and George are in a sense in charge of thie ministry(following the Holy Spirits leading, of course), they are the shepherds and caretakers here.

We should submit to these men and women who God has placed over us here...I am not saying they should not be accountable, because we should all be accountable. I am just saying that we should trust that they are following the Holy Spirit and doing the best they can. Satan is trying to divide us over petty things and we need to recognize this and come together in UNITY.

If I may be so humble to say something. I believe this site is a Holy site because here we talk to and about God. To me, this is sacred and this site is one of the few that is worldwide that ministers, in its own way, both to Christians and non-believers as well.

God asked us to spread His Word. That is what this site does. I'm positive that lost souls have come here and received the Holy Spirit through witnesses here.

No one ministers to the lost in the same way. Dialog of all different manner is important, because each person may not understand everyone equally.

To me, I look at the future. This site has 6000 members. In a year it may have 16,000. In three years it may have 60,000 members. When some of those future Christians, who found the Love of Christ here, meet you, the moderators, in heaven, it will all be worth it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
