So how can the path to Him be this way?

Matt 7:13-14

13 "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. NKJV

A Wonder Filled Topic Indeed Dear Steve

Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

1 Peter 1:10-12

For Salvation Is Of Jesus Christ

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:8-10

He Is The Only Gate

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:6

To Eternal Life

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

John 3:36

Bless His Holy Name!

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Acts 4:12

Be Blessed Beloved Of The KING

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

1 John 3:1

Perspective is everything in understanding! So don't burn me at the stake but correct anything I say here about this that you believe is wrong! :)

The Wall is around our own hearts / being due to sin and their are two gates broad gate leading no where but deeper within sin and rejection of Christ and The Word. The narrow gate is where Christ upon this door He knocks-

Rev 3:20

20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

NKJV

We as born again unto the family of God and all things of our own being have become new are literally walking out of our own dead walled in hearts with The Spirit of God leading us through by The Word of God. The journey is difficult

Matt 7:14

14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

NKJV

Difficult because we must be led out and familiarity with the dead thing causes us to have confusion and hold to and not let go yet we must

Rom 8:13-15

13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

NKJV

The outward living that we do reflects on our journey out of our own dead being to the narrow door into the presence of Christ who will know us and we will understand that the door we pass out of unto Him is the door He entered into unto us! Love Steven

basic truth is God cannot be contained for He is unbounded or infinite therefore He has no walls of containment and no gate can exist without walls.

So where are these walls and gates located? Narrow one to life and broad one to death. Love Steven

:whistling: I think you might be over-literalizing what Jesus said?

Figuratively speaking, the gate is narrow.

Hi Neb!

I believe in the infinite exact that within all creation (His Created Act) all Spiritual truths reside! In the beginning Christ the Living Word created and Good was the seal of that creation. Combine this stated truth with this passage

Mark 10:18

18 So Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.

NKJV

So God declared His creation good what ws He saying, (relax theologians I am not proclaiming pantheism for all hear have heard me speak of the unbounded nature of God and pantheism definitely place bounds upon God), but I see and understand what the 1st of Romans speaks about They know through creation of God. Therefore the parables were exact spiritual truths set for in God's creation. Literal and figurative meet in the exact infinite for His glory and truth. This is where this leads us to in John 1. Because the main character, Christian, passes through a physical gate and runs up a hill to a physical cross, falls into a physical Slough of Despond, carried a physical burden that came off when he went to the physical cross, etc.

Your question just reminded me of that, that's all. So I thought I'd mention it just for the fun of it.

You might enjoy reading it, if you get the chance.

I don't know if it's as much a rejection of Christ, as it is a rejection of the Truth.

I agree with man.

The life of a christian is a life that should be guided and governed by God via the Holy Spirit. People have to make the choice to enter in the narrow way and allow God to guide them on their path via the Holy Spirit to keep them on the narrow path. It is like being on a highway. There are a lot of exit ramps during your journey. Some people get off the narrow path with the cares and worries of this life. That is why "there are few who find it."

:whistling: JIME :)

On some interstates, the exit ramp reads 'No Return Access'

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
