As a young Christian, and as one that desires to serve the Lord through the walk of Faith as a missionary. I am attending college to receive some education on religious background and a question or two came to mind. I do hope that no one here believes that I am false in my declarations that I am a Christian on account of these for once again, the only reason I ask such things is so that way I may have a deeper understanding of the things I am possibly going to be up against once out there.

What is Aethism?

What are Satan Worshipers and how do they worship?

What are Agnostics?

How can such people be reached?

With Love In Christ,

Danielle

Greetings Faithful,

What is Aethism?

An unbelief or disbelief of God.

What are Satan Worshipers and how do they worship?

There are those who truly worship Satan, who is the God of this world in their eyes. The outward manifestation of their worship is very broad.

What are Agnostics?

It is those who claim that they do not know whether or not God exists.

How can such people be reached?

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is God's power unto salvation unto all who would believe.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Dad Ernie,

Thank you for your input on this, I am truly wishing to go into some deeper study of the opposing religions as well as Christianity itself so that way I would understand how it originated. Your reply was straight to the point, and very kind. Once again, thank you, your reply is much appreciated.

With Love In Christ,

Danielle

I think agnostics, aside from not knowing whether or not God exists, consider the question of His existence irrelevant. It doesn't matter to them one way or the other.

Yea, sort of like *if* God does exist, He makes no claim to be personal and therefore it doesn't matter.

So it is more of a religion of apathy than anything else.

Jcm and DIME Ministries,

I thank you both for the words you offer on this post. Seeing as my years are very much young in Christ I appreciate any knowledge that can be given. Especailly when it comes to those who may one day oppose me on account of what I believe.

A year ago I had an agnostic friend that I tried to reach as well as understand, but unfortunately he was more than insistant upon proving every point I had wrong. At other times, he would say things about God that would just bring me to tears. Seeing as I was already questioning my faith at that time, the influence this young man had upon me led me astray rather fast. Satan truly does have his way with working through others, and unfortunately he had to do so with someone I once considered a close friend.

You thoughts as well as oppinions on this matter are greatly appreciated. Thank you both once again. Any words of wisdom you may offer would be greatly appreciated. Once again, thank you. God Bless.

With Love In Christ,

Danielle

What you should do is research into the points that he or anyone makes against your faith. If you can't prove them wrong, then they are right for all intents and purposes. I'm sorry if he made you question things, but that's not necesarily a bad thing. If he just "tried" to prove you wrong, but you were right in the end, then don't worry. However, if he succeeded in proving you wrong and you had no answer, well than maybe you shuold look into what he was talking about and find answers for yourself, if you can't find that he is wrong, well then maybe you should start questioning things too.

BodiDharma,

You provide me with some good sound advice. In regards to the situation with an old friend, such views have been taken under some serious thought and looked upon. Fortunately, most of the time I was not wrong when I spoke to him about several matters though there were one or two that truly left me stumped for some time, it is most unfortunate though that him and I are no longer friends for now to share such answers that have been discovered are in impossible. Though I was not able to do such things with this friend and reveal to him the truth, I am hoping that one day I may be provided another opertunity to minister unto someone who is lost and or perhaps questioning a thing or two about God/Jesus.

However, I do still desire to know so much more about other religions as well as how to reach those who are lost and feel as though they have no desire to know God. For with God all things are possible, even reaching out to the lost who are almost certain that God cannot do anything for him, or believes that he is not one to truly exist.

Your words are both welcome and appreciated. Thank you for taking the time out to reply to this post.

With Love In Christ,

Danielle

Hey... Im Agnostic.

The best description of "Agnostic" that ive come across so far is from www.religioustolerance.com

"Agnosticism is a concept, not a religion. It is a belief related to the existence or non-existence of God.

An Agnostic is a person who feels that God's existence can neither be proved nor disproved, on the basis of current evidence. Agnostics note that some theologians and philosophers have tried to to prove, for millennia, that God exists. Others have attempted to prove that God does not exist. Neither side has convincingly succeeded at their task.

An Agnostic usually holds the question of the existence of God open, pending the arrival of more evidence. They are willing to change their belief if some solid evidence or logical proof is found in the future. However, some have taken the position that there is no logical way in which the existence or the non-existence of a deity can be proven."

Charles Darwin, Francois M. Voltaire, Thomas H. Huxley, Robert G. Ingersoll and Bertrand Russell are a few famous Agnostics.

"Agnostic" can also be broken up into little branches like Agnostic Theists, Agnostic Atheists, Empirical Agnostics and Agnostic Humanists (this is the group that JCM is probably talking about, because a lot of us DO find the question of Gods existance relevent).

Hope that helps... "Athiest" is a pretty straightforward term, but "Agnostic" seems to get muddled up a lot haha. Keep an open mind.

Chazy.

Grace to you,

Listen my friend. Despite the agnostic advice here?

You know enough. You are more than an overcomer. You know Jesus Christ and Him crucified. This sets you apart from the world. Do not be draw away by decpetion.

It is an age old lie. From the beginning in the Garden. satan asked, "Has God really said?"

Who told you that Jesus Christ was God. Was it a man? Or did this revelation come by some other means? I can tell you that He is God. Just as I can tell these others. Yet you know it to be True. How was this revealed to you? Think now?

Have confidence in the One that set you Free.

You are a child of the Kingdom now. Born from above. Born from the Spirit. Do not be deceived by things of the world. Or people who know not of what they speak. Hold fast to your Faith and the confidence thereof.

He is Risen. He has nailed this writ of trespass against you to the Cross. He has made an open show of the powers and principalities that once held you bound. Pay them no mind. Study upon the things of God. Ask Him to reveal all things to you. Knowing when you wrestle you wrestle not with flesh and blood. Therefore put on the full armour of God.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
