There is a message on their website that is awesome!

It is called militant evangelism. Lets face it, We must go out

to the fishing hole and start fishing instead of asking that the fish

just jump out of the pond and into your fishbasket.

Like I mentioned earlier, witnessing to people is scary

But bravery is not being unafraid. It is being afraid and

doing it anyway. I've been fired up to witness now for months

Me and s2s have gone to Narcanon (scientologist drug abuse program)

and witnessed to scientologists. We also go to the local wal - mart

supercenter and spuratically witness to people. local convienent stores

By using the following RCCR method. (If another biblical method works

for you and it gets someone save. More power to you!) :)

Relate (to the person)

Create (an opportunity to witness)

Convict (sins - good person test - hook=ten commandments)

Reveal (Jesus can save them from damnation and give everlasting life)

method based on how Jesus witnessed to the women at the well

Way of the master .com gives free witnessing tools and living waters

offers a lot of evangelistic tips and great tracts!

BPC,

I probably should of been more specific here. I did not mean we all need to be witnessing to Groups of people One2One is even better really then you can really concentrate on making sure that one person gets the Good News.

Steve,

There are different Methods to Evangelism, and if you are not a sociable person it is not always an easy task.

Ted,

The used car salesman was a bad example, were selling the best new car to ever be made :P

Spiritual Warrior,

That is great that you 2 are getting out and doing witnessing. Getting started is the hard part. Once you start witnessing like that it gets easier every time.

Everyone,

That being said, I am the worst at this, I donot take advantage of every opportunity I have. I donot actively seek out people to witness to, I have friends and family that I am sure are not saved and yet i have not shared the Gospel with them. That is why I have been convicted to start this thread, for my benefit and the benefit of everyone else here.

God Bless,

Dave

Don't be so hard on yourself, Obviously you have a conviction to start witnessing so pray something like this: "God, let my compassion for the lost, be stronger than my fear of man. So that I may be able to win some for you!" Keep learning and praying and feed the fire by listening to good biblical preaching on evangelism.

When I started, I was scared to death that people would think that I was some kind of religous nut. But the more I witnessed to others the more I learned that a lot more people are open to the gospel than I realized. God wants us to evangelize, and I believe that He helps us along when we need it. You don't have to feel pressured to win the whole world in a day. Which would be great, for the one who has that type of zeal. Just do what you can, when you can, being lead by the Holy Spirit. As your confidence grows so will your eagerness to witness more and more. And don't be discouraged when people say no to the gospel: that will definately happen. But don't compromise the Bible either. A man can't appreciate grace unless He realizes He is in sin.

"Some evangelists are prepared to be anything to anybody as long as they get somebody at the altar for something"

-Leonard Ravenhill

I agree, in fact I used there material in a recent witnessing workshop that I held right here in the church. I even ordered 5000 tracts for the congregation to hand out. Some have gotten excited as well and ordered the evidence bibel and the shcool of Biblical evangelism. These things are absolutely great!

Do you have The Evidence Bible? How do you like it? Do you think it helps when witnessing?

It's not really a gimmick to hand out tracts and invite people to church.

Agreed. Although I don't use tracts.

Some in here are looking for the perfect "formula" and resources, and making it more complex than it has to be. That's why I made that comment.

Have you ever seen the show "The Way of the Master"?

Was that with Burt Lancaster as an evangilitcal preacner that was a con artist?

I think that is called Elmer Gantry or something like that.

Called,

Yes I have the Evidence Bible, and I love it! It is a very good tool to use when witnessing, especially in the area of apolegetics. There is a section on Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons etc. It highlights scriptures that pull out truths to refute things such as evolution, athiesm, relativism, communism, and other ism's.

It gives great quotes from Missionaries, Founders of the faith, great preachers,

and Martyrs, as well.

But yes I like it. It has been endorsed by Franklin Graham, Josh Mcdowell, and James Kennedy, among others.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
