just need advice

I had this friend, who just, VERY recently hurt me. I am wanting to avoid this person for a while, knowing I will say something harsh and rude, which is something I do not like to do.

But this person is EVERYwhere I go. This "friend" goes to all the MB's I go to but one, including here, and they talk to everyone I talk to. It's really hurting me, because I am not going to stop going to messageboards that I go to because of it, especially won't stop coming here. But HOW do I get this person OUT of my life?

HI ERICA, Well, If I were In that spot, I would avoid this friend for a while only because of what I might SAY If I didn't, and this is just for a cooling off period, Then if HE.SHE, or they, approach later on, or after you cooled down a little, You should confront the problem before it CAN grow into something worse. hope this helps............TAKO

I'm getting ready to go but I thought I'd just add what I think. Just remember that it's always God's heart to restore. Personally, I think that instead of avoiding your friend you should make an attempt to settle things. Talk it out. Whether that be just the two of you, or if you have someone mediate. The intention should be to forgive eachother and leave no room for the enemy to cause bitterness. This doesn't mean you have to stay close friends or subject yourself to being hurt over and over. But, we are called to forgive and seek to live in unity. Have you tried working it out?

I am getting cruel PM's from this person saying how messed up my family is and saying we need help.

In fact that me quote that part:

Good luck with your stupid family. Oh, and try to get some help with your family too. Everyone except Justin. He was the only "normal" person in the family.

And I don't even want to try to create peace, how can I be friends with someone who says stuff like that?

Sorry, but I learned that it is on us to build a christian relationship and to place christian love in action in everything we do concerning this person.

This is a christian assignment to carry this person in love and you have to "bathe" or "saturate" the whole situation in prayer. Prayer so you can act in God's love and direction.

I am going through this very same thing right now. God showed me that the person that I am involved with just says the mean and hurtful things to me to gain a response. Delete emails before they are read, disregard PM's and don't allow the enemy to take control of your thoughts. You don't have to keep company with the people who hurt you. But you should still pray for this person (Matt5:44) it will help you over come and forgive and it will also help this other person become a better person too..........hope this helps.
