The Pre-trib Fallacy

I could give you the entire time line of what is happening, but it would be rejected as others have already posted the same information at differant times and was rejected..... the Bible is specific...... a person can not go on a single verse, but the entire Bible....

people that are stuck on post trib will stay post trib, people that are stuck on mid trib will stay stuck on mid trib......

really it dont matter much, cept that if a person is not ready they will be left.....

by the way..... I do not want to be part of the great tribulation...... you can go thru it if you like....

I didn't mean just one scripture, I meant something I can stand on.

What do you mean "if I would like"? I've already said I want to believe the pre-trib.

Look, if someone asks "How do I get saved"? We know those verses. If they say "is there a hell" we know those. How about "is it ok to live in sin? we would point them right to it. But why is this so difficult for people? Why must this one thing be such a deep revealtion that only the super spiritual can discern?

If someone says to me "is Jesus coming back"? I say yes.......and show the verse or verses. If they say "how?" then I show them in scripture. But when they say "is he coming to rapture the church before anything bad happens"? I search and search and search and tell them what the Bible says, not my presumtion of what it might be.

I believe you ask a "righteous question" and one that the pre-tribs CANNOT answer, because their SECRET RAPTURE is so SECRET that God does not even know about it. In fact, I find it very interesting that the RESURRECTION comes FIRST and those who are "alive and remain" are LEFT BEHIND waiting for the RAPTURE which occurs at the 7th TRUMPET.

When a so called spiritual secret is revealed, it must be challenged by the Word of God.

Notice how books on the subject today explain the rapture as a specific event in a timeline of the end time events. This was never talked about in the Bible in such great detail, yet these books have more revelation than the Bible. hmmmmmm!

"In early 1830, Margaret McDonald, a 15 year old Scottish Girl had visions that included a Secret Rapture of believers before the appearance of the Antichrist. Edward Irving (1792-1834) her Scottish Presbyterian pastor and forerunner of the Pentecostal and Charismatic movements, attended prophecy conferences that began in Dublin Ireland in that same year, 1830, at Powerscourt Castle. There he promoted the doctrine of the Secret Rapture.

John Nelson Darby (1800-1882), a minister of the Church of Ireland, later became a member of the Plymouth Brethren and also promoted a Secret Rapture after attending the same Powerscourt Bible Prophecy meeting in 1830 where he learned of Margaret McDonald's vision. He visited Margaret McDonald at her home in Port Glasgow, Scotland, then later visited America several times where his Secret Rapture theology was quite well accepted.

The writings of John Darby greatly influenced Cyrus Scofield (1843-1921) who incorporated this doctrine in the notes of his Scofield Reference Bible, first published by Oxford University Press in 1909. One million copies were printed by 1930, firmly establishing this Futurist interpretation in the Bible schools and denominations of the United States in the 20th Century."

So many desire to be the revealers of God's secrets, they'll say anything to become looked at as spiritual.

I believe the secret rapture teaching is false and was never taught in scripture.

That's why when I ask for a solid rock to stand on, no one can give it from the Bible.....it always has to be what someone else has said.

What purpose does this theology serve?

I don't know... they think Pre-tribers, if there isn't a rapture before the Trib that we will rebel ... which is Junk because they have know idea what we think, they are Just outsiders looking in telling us what we think.

He is what we think.

We believe in the Pre-Trib rapture, but are preparing for the worst. We will not fall away ... we know thats going on if its the post-trib. people so underestimate us ... its kinda dumb but they should understand that we will be prepared as they are prepared ... we aint that dumb...

so to all you guys out there that think e will fall away if it turns out to be a post-trib, don't think we are not going to be prepared

The problem is that if there is no pre-trib rapture then billions of dollars have been wasted on a lie and so many people are believing a lie.

I don't have a set doctrine of this, I just know that Jesus said he was coming again. We must be watchful, not only for Jesus but also false teaching that is designed to decieve the church.

This is not a "your going to hell, I'm going to heaven" thread. It is to understand that most of the junk being taught today is junk!

All these men stand in front of the saints and tell them that the rapture is truth and you need to buy all these books and videos so your loved ones will be able to get right with God after your gone. Do ya remember another false teaching called pergatory? Yep, pay us money and when you die, we'll pray ya right outta there.

Look, I hope that Christ comes tonight and takes us on home........I actually want to believe this, however it's not written, so how can I?

Does it matter though? I could care less if people are spending their own money on the stuff. Afterall, Christians have been buying useless crap for years. That's why I just odn't see the point in the discussion. Likewise, neither side has a monopoly on the truth and cannot absolutely prove their stance, thus it's pointless to harbor so much hate for one side or the other.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

This scripture is scary.
