You never know who is coming into your house or why. Deciding to kill anyone who violates your space is a very dangerous thing to do.

With all do respect, you wrong. Iv heard of people who said exactly what you would do if you ever where in a situation like that. Honestly, it didn't work. Iv heard many times over and over and over where a Christian in Center City say "I belong to Jesus Christ and the evil one cannot touch me" and that did nothing, you are wrong and you need to realize that before you end up dying. and Just to let you know, Most murders think Christianity is a scam, and if you where to say "I belong to Jesus Christ and the evil one cannot touch me" They would say wares your God now? The they would kill you anyway. You are living in a world where you think words are more powerful then a murderers actions. Do not be fooled as you are now, because there will be a time where you might have to use self defence by taking his or her life. And Before you take someones life you must think is there a way out with out me and my family dying, and if the answer is no, then you have to take his life before he takes 5 peoples lives. Always look for a way not to kill but if you need to and its you and your family or him, you must chose him to die.

when you have one of your best friends come over drunk and get your back door open and want to talk because he just broke up with his wife to be, and you come within a breaths hair of killing him, you learn from the experience to make sure.... really sure, and if you can't be sure don't shoot.

I have a friend who's son came home in the middle of the night (he did not live there but just came for a visit) and my friend nearly shot him. Just two experiences in my life that were very close.

I hope people are just discussing theoretecal things here and if you all do have loaded weapons at home that you really know how to use them properly, for what we are discussing here is not simple black and white.

Sam, we're not talking about simply plugging the neighbors or taking shots in the dark. To shoot at something that you are not positively sure of is pure stupidity. Gun owners have to be taught to know, without a doubt, what their target is.

The question here is, is it Biblically sound to defend yourself, or others, when your (or their) own existence is threatened, with lethal force. If it is the only choice, I say yes, it is not only right, it is our responsibility.

Another true story.

3 years ago in Maylasia the muslim extremeists were seeking out christians and killing the men and raping the women. They came to a brother in the Lord that I know personally and were in the midst of storming his compound. This brother walked out and told the crowd they had no business with him and his congregation and they must disperse in Jesus' name. They left him and all that were in his compound alone. They were the only christians in that area not abused.

If you doubt what I say is true you are calling me a liar. If you doubt what God says in His Word, yu call Him a liar.

pamjane, I would die for Jesus any day. I would not want to die because a person was going to take my life away for any other reason. I would probably fight and do whatever to survive. Unless, it meant that I would save my loved ones by dying.
