You are not talking about faith. You are talking about presumption. Again you have confused persecution with legitimate physical danger. Until you "unconfuse" the two, you will continue to posture presumption. We are not to test the Lord. We are to protect the gifts He has given us. He teaches our hands to war and our fingers to fight.

I want to post something that brother Shiloh posted at the beginning. We should all take heed.

That has nothing to do with self defense though. We are not to return insult for insult. We are not retaliate against those who might gossip against us, or call us names behind our back. We are not to seek retaliation against those who persecute us for our faith.

And again on page 5;

We are not to retaliate against peresuction. We are also not to retaliate or take revenge against those who tell lies about us, who seek to defame us to others, who say horrible things to our face.

The last 2 or 3 pages of this prior to this one were just flat out not abiding in this type of turn the other cheek.
