Yes you may now take your loved ones ashes, pet's ashes even, and turn them into diamond.

Well, that gives a whole new meaning to a family heirloom.

 this has been around for several years but the price is so high you would have to have a lot of spare money to do it ...and what do you do with it I mean would you REALLY want your late husband to come on a date with you ? Or your parent to be with you ALL the time ??

And people said it was creepy to use the heat from a crem :24::24::24::24::24:

I'd turn her into one of the red hearts and after I die turn me into a emerald looking one and give them to my grand daughter when she's 21.

I think it a reallyl cool idea.

Can't you just invision her at some fancy party and have some snooty lady come over and say, "That's such a lovely neclace my dear." and her replying, "Oh yes, the green one is my grandad and the red one is grandma Evans..... they were such lovely people.....

In all seriousness though I will just hold them in my heart and then great them in Heaven. No jewels will shine brighter than those in the Lord's house.

Funeral jewelry has been around for a long time. Victorians for instance used to cut locks of the dead person's hair and make them into jewelry.

This site has some examples of hair jewelry along with information on it. Some are memorial pieces for dead loved ones. Others are locks of hair from living people (living then) who gave it as a gift to friend or relative. Still creepy to me though lol.

Some of my favorites from that site:

I personally do not consider hair to be creepy. If someone had long hair and had it cut to make a wig, would it be creepy to keep the wig?

I thought the jewelry was interesting and creative.

The jewelry is pretty but I don't think I would want to own any myself.
