I knew having a wife for over 40 years was a blessing, but i didn't understand it was rare. I wondered if I would start something! Thank the Lord it has been lighthearted up to now But to all the single people out there. I was until last year, also single (and not looking for anyone). I was a confirmed bachelor, and surprisingly happy! Ok, being invited to valentines day parties was a bit of a pain, and I always refused the invitation as I was usually the only single person there. But please don't lose hope, please. God put an amazing woman in front of me (Ok she was a few oceans and continents away), and said "Enough". I had no choice in the matter really. God knows what he is doing, no? I had forgotten what it was like to dance around the "Does this make me look fat" question, and where can I get flowers at 7pm on the 14th...... (having as usual forgotten). My next door neighbors flower garden was pretty sad, and he had a big dog...... A bunch of flowers tend to get a bit unattractive when you have dived over a fence with a pit bull on your butt with dirt still flying from the roots.... I would tell her if I liked the attire or not. I don't get that question any longer. The way to get past that question of making her look fat is simple. the answer is now always "Yes it does.... you look much better naked..... then give her that hopeful look. That is a very good quote Fez, I must remember that the next time my sons want to talk about married life, they are just starting on the wedded path, one is getting married this spring and the other has been married two years. Heck I been married 37 years and I'm still learning. My advice to all men, "just remember, women are God's daughters", another words don't make their father mad, not a good idea.
