What Temple?

[Fraught]

The Apostle Peter spoke on this wise with respect to where God dwells, "Howbeit the most High dwells not in temples made with hands; as says the prophet, Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool: what house will you build Me? says the Lord: or what is the place of My rest? (Acts 7:48-49)

Then we see before the crucifixion ...

John 2:19-21 - "Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this Temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and will you rear it up in three days? But He spoke of the temple of His body."

Then we read after the resurrection ...

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 - "Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are."

1 Corinthians 6:19 - "What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own?"

2 Corinthians 6:16 - "And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? for you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."

Ephesians 2:19-22 - "Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief Corner Stone; in whom all the building fitly framed together grows unto an holy temple in the Lord: in whom you also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit."

1 Peter 2:5 - "You also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ."

If this is the Temple the Lord is building in these last days shouldn't this be the one we center our attention on?....

And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD. And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God. Zechariah 6:12-15

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. My question is, with respect to the "man whose name is the branch," and his building of the temple, "what is this portion of Scripture out of Zechariah saying?" On the surface it seems to be speaking of the Lord Jesus individually. But, I can't find any Scripture to back up that premise. All I can see is where the Lord Jesus said, "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the Vine; no more can you, except you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches: he that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing. If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." (Jn 15:4-6)

Also, "the counsel of peace shall be between them both." Who are "them both?"

the Lord and His throne ??? Are we the throne? He is our ruler and and our priest so that would go along with the rest of the paragraph. Interesting. The throne and the temple being synonymous?
