How could so many church leaders be easily misled, and continue to add to the deception, leading many people, even Christians into the world of Mysticism .... It involves things we are told to avoid. It corrupts and dilutes the word of God. Why is it happening? Easy. 2 Timothy 4 3 For a time will be when they will not endure sound doctrine, but they will heap up teachers to themselves according to their own lusts, tickling the ear. 4 And they will turn away their ears from the truth and will be turned to myths. For many, the simplicity of the Gospel is hard to grasp. Christianity is unlike any other religion in the world and many people don't understand that. They feel there has to be more to it than just loving your neighbor as yourself. So they start adding to it, which pretty much amounts to taking away as much as you add and before you know it, you have another denomination or teaching. You will be surprised on how long it has been around, who followed it and what it is about. Some teachings sound really good, but if you dog deeper in scripture, it is a lie. Others "fill in the gap" where scripture is silent. Everything is spiritual and not much left out, including stuff like lucid dreaming. Lucid dreamimg is simply knowing that you're dreaming. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
